Saving the overbearing CEO

This clingy behaviour went on for a week though it wasn't as severe as before. He stopped following a lot but he would casually send cute texts and pictures whenever they were apart.

All of a sudden, the dinosaur who had no social media accounts created them and shared with the world that he was the happiest man alive.

His WeChat moments were always filled with things like 'My handsome fiancee made me breakfast today #inlove' followed by a picture. Sometimes it was random pictures of Wen Qinxi doing the most regular of things but he would proudly showcase his cutie so the world knows who he belongs to.

This unusual behaviour had his entire circle shaken so much that they couldn't help but wonder if Qie Ranzhe was having a mental breakdown. His family and its legacy had sunk overnight with most of the family members incarcerated. Though their relationship was strained who wouldn't have a mental breakdown after that, right?

It was for this reason that the launching party of Flagship was packed with big players of the elite class. Most of them were here to catch sight of Qie Ranzhe and judge his mental capacity. Who knows, they might use this to their advantage.

Maybe it was Wen Qinxi's intelligence or his personality but there was something about him that attracted this live streamer to this nerd.

To be fair, Wen Qinxi was like a piece of juicy pork belly attracting flies with its tantalizing aroma only for the flies to be met by a thick glass shield creating a barrier between them.

While Qie Ranzhe was discussing with his uncle, Dai Yu's father, Kai Zheng took the opportunity to talk to Wen Qinxi only to be met by this horrifyingly tall bodyguard blocking his path. "Sorry sir, can I see your invitation?"

"Uh..... um, here," he said taking it out but the giant's face changed for the worst as he said,

"This is a ticket for the introduction session. This banquet is by invitation only. Can you please leave the premises?

He couldn't believe this. What was Qie Ranzhe so afraid of? He wouldn't steal something that didn't want to be stolen so why was the security tight around this man? Was he so insecure that he would guard Wen Qinxi like he was the Mona Lisa painting? Even that painting didn't have a beast like patrol guard standing beside it all the time.

Kai Zheng was about to say something when his shoulders were suddenly wrapped by his brother's arm who decided to pull him away while apologizing. Kai Zi whispered through gritted teeth, "Don't you fuckin dare start shit with him. I ain't going to a fuckin mental hospital for you, do you hear me?"

Kai Zheng who wasn't in the loop didn't know that the Qie and Zhao family's fall wasn't coincidental. One of them had the balls to lay a hand on Wen Qinxi and the entire empire came tumbling down like Jenga and he, Kai Zi, was the instigator. He invited Qie Anzhie to act against Wen Qinxi and this happened.

This is why he hurried over when he heard his stupid older brother had come over to the launch of Flagship. If that wolf was to catch his brother trying to flirt with Wen Qinxi then they might as well sell all their assets, take some cash and go on the run.

What he didn't know was that it was already too late. His brother had struck the matchstick and accidentally dropped it in a gasoline tank. As to the one who was about to be flirted with, he was busy drinking expensive champagne with zero awareness.

He had been talking ceaselessly about Flagship all night that his throat felt dry. It was like trying to explain technology to kindergarteners who have no idea what is Bluetooth. He ended up having to explain the basic workings of a CPU first before going into detail about what Flagship was all about which was tiring and time-consuming.

Wen Qinxi sat down at an isolated part of the hall while watching Qie Ranzhe from a distance with a smile in his eyes. It seemed Qie Ranzhe felt his gaze because he turned around and made a kissing gesture with his lips before smiling gently.

If he hadn't had to bribe his uncle into giving him his private island he would much prefer to be with his lover. Since it was a surprise he didn't want to spoil it for Wen Qinxi so he had someone accompany him.

Wen Qinxi chuckled and both of them looked away a little bashful. It was then he felt a shadow towering over him as a rosy scent assaulted his senses. He raised his head only to find someone very familiar to him standing before him.

"You know he traded a rare Sailor Luna card with me so that I could stay as far away from you as possible? Haha, you should have seen how jealous he was when he found out you liked me. Fun times, isn't it? Anyway, it's a pleasure to finally see you again."

Hmm, I wonder who could this person be? Any guesses?
