Second Chance: Overlord

After defeating those bandits Xion verified his status to see if he rose a level or something. But to his disappointment he didn't, the Exp points he gained weren't enough. Has he hit a bottleneck?! Maybe those guys were just too weak, only the cloak driver was in the Warrior Realm and that guy Ryu who was in the King Realm, but Xion let Ryu go without a fight.

Was it a mistake?!

The whole ride Quinn Xiao spoke to Quinn Lan about how Selene had prepared everything for Xion at the Moonlight Academy. Quinn Ni focused on the road without getting distracted. He felt like he had failed his family by allowing those damned bandits to cause problems, luckily nobody got hurt or he was sure he, Quinn Ni, would have to kill himself if something else hindered their path to the Sun Branch.

"Hey, we're here!" Quinn Ni said, Xion looked out the carriages window, calmly surveying the area. Quinn Lan had hit his peak anxiety level and Quinn Xiao tried to calm him down as they loomed closer and closer to their destination.

As Xion observed everything calmly he saw just how well the Sun Branch was doing. Back at the Moon Branch there were hundreds of people living and working there. But, here at the Sun Branch there were at least thousands of civilians and tens of hundreds of soldiers roaming around what seemed like the Merchants Square.

- "Here, Here! Buy one and get another with a 25% discount…"

- "Come and see, weapons and armors that are capable of helping anyone survive a battle with Demons…."

- "Come and find a soothing partner at the Sunset Brothel on 21st…."

There were all kinds of stores and locals. This place was wealthy beyond Xion's imagination. At least compared to the Moon Branch that is.

As they drove past the Merchants Square they reached a fork, to one side the road was paved in stone like in the Merchant Square but looked emptier than the former. To the other side was a road between trees that seemed naturally made and that's where Quinn Ni headed.

It felt like climbing a small hill until finally they reached the gates of a huge mansion that was almost completely separated from the town. It was heavily fortified and the ones guarding the gate were both of the King Realm.

They're both very powerful and their potential is also very high. But, this 'Justine Just ' person is extremely strong. From the looks of it he has cultivated his body with the same cultivation technique as Banister Li but it evolved into a Body of Fire at some point. Meaning that this Justine Just is incredibly dedicated to his training! They both seem to be older than Quinn Lan and Quinn Ni but not by much. How can Justine Just and Banister Li be so much stronger?!

"Welcome home Young Master Ni And Young Master Lan!" They both said cupping their hands and slightly bowing. They were both way too respectful. Xion had his eye on this Justine Just, to be able to have a Body State of Gold-King Realm and almost at the peak too. Very admirable.

"Ha ha ha! It's truly been so long Mr. Just and Mr. Li!!" Quinn Lan said cupping his hands and bowing back as a courtesy. Xion couldn't help but smile at how polite his pops acted. Quinn Xiao also bowed but Quinn Ni and Xion walked on through and headed towards the mansion.

"Xion, be very careful of who you speak with. Many people here are spies for my cousin and are very dangerous individuals…." Quinn Ni said as they neared the mansion, he then added... "Your a smart boy, I'm sure you'll be able to tell…"

As they walked in nobody greeted them which was a bit strange for Xion. An important person just arrived and nobody welcomed him home or anything. But seeing Quinn Ni walk quickly towards the stairs followed by Quinn Lan and Quinn Xiao, Xion looked around and used his Sensory just in case and also to level it up before following them.

Going up the stairs slowly, allowing Sensory to sense everything in the approximate 8KM. He sensed about ten to fifteen people hiding behind doors and two people watching from the ceiling. Xion smiled at this, were these assholes spying or part of the protection detail?! How interesting…

Now all four of them stood in front of two gigantic golden doors with a sun drawn between the two in black. Quinn Lan was breathing heavily and so was Quinn Xiao. Xion and Quinn Ni were rather calm in front of the situation. The only question on Xion's mind is 'What's waiting behind these gold doors?!'

….Somewhere Hidden In The Sun Branch…..

"Master Lu… Q-Quinn Ni b-brought visitors to the mansion today…" a very scared and jumpy man with a cloud mark on his forehead told another man who was cutting his very juicy steak slowly.

The man who spoke the message seemed starved as he almost drooled at the sight of the steak being cut and juice gushing out dramatically. The man called Master Lu slowly put the piece of juicy steak inside his mouth and chewed very decently and smiled, while his cold red eyes shined with cruelty.

"Who did my dear cousin dare to bring to my Mansion?" The man called Master Lu asked as his smile turned even more cruel and cold. The calm way he spoke, the coldness of his tone and how cruel he sounded made the man with the cloud mark drink his saliva and gulp.

"I-it seems, h-he brought Quinn Lan and family.…"

*BAM*

Master Lu struck a palm down on the table breaking it in half. Anger, hate, envy, jealousy all negative emotions surrounded this Master Lu's Dark Aura. That damned bitch is trying to ruin his plan, but…

Master Lu relaxed and sat down on his chair again in front of the broken table thinking things through. He knew for sure that nobody would be able to foil his plan! He's been working on it for years now and has the backing of that Sect.

"Ha ha ha ha…. Come Dante, let me whip you so I can release this pent-up frustration…. ha ha ha ha…" it was a cruel laugh to listen to, everyone close enough to listen to Master Lu would feel cold shivers down their spine. And this man with the cloud mark on his head was named Dante, he was about to feel the incredible pain that the Master's whip is about to inflict.

*Psh, Psh, Psshhh!*

The sound resounded around the whole underground room. The scene of Dante's skin being ruptured and ripped from his body was being seen by five other servants, two who cried but didn't dare make a noise or even breath hard enough to be heard.

"THEY WONT BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING AGAINST ME! FOR I AM THE KING, QUINN LU!" The man hollered as he laughed malevolently whipping on the screaming man's back cruelly and ruthlessly. This is the feeling he loved the most! Ripping someone apart with his beautiful and bloodied whip!
