Second Chance: Overlord

To think that the one to come knocking would be that Student Council President Karen. What would she want? And why was she so red in the face? Does she have a fever?

Seeing Xion's puzzled face Karen coughed two times clearing her throat. She looked at Xion shyly and said….

"Eh, um, I'm Ka… Karen. I am your assistant…."

What?! The Student Council President was his assistant? What kind of shit was this? She was clearly higher in ranking in the Academy! Why would this girl be his assistant? That made no sense.

"Hey…. What kind of game are you playing at? Are you holding a grudge or something eh?!" Xion quickly turned delinquent intimidating Karen a bit. But, the way she reacted was quite puzzling. She looked like it had been a pleasant scolding. Seeing Xion's delinquent face and that intimidating Aura from earlier made her squeal.

This boy is powerful and has incredible potential. To think he was placed under Master Kon's toutalege! Adding to that, the murderous intent he gave off was so strong and impure it made her feel like she was drenching herself.

Karen had volunteered to be Xion's assistant just to get closer to him. She was feeling butterflies just by being near him. 'Scold me! Scold me more powerful man!'

Seeing the face Karen was making made Xion feel rather unnerved. This woman! What the hell is she thinking? He intimidated her, or at least tried, why was she reacting like he had poked his log on her pam! This isn't normal!

"Um, look, lady, if you really are my assistant just say what your gonna say and scram…." Karen was even more aroused to be told to scram. Xion was filled with cold sweat, this is the worst type of woman. His Master back on Earth told him that women who reacted this way to intimidation were power hungry. They'd always be loyal as long as one stays strong, but they would leave when they no longer had any reason to stay.

"Ahhhh…. Haaaaa…Ahhhh.…" Karen kept m.o.a.ning weirdly so Xion went to close the door as fast as possible to get away from her. But she was indeed strong, she quickly pushed the door and it actually splintered as it hit the wall. What was that about the wood being sturdy?

She was now inside the room slowly walking towards him as he hit a wall behind him. She leaned in and took out a letter envelope.

"Here you go… ahhhhh…. Why can't I just eat you up?" Xion quickly retrieved the envelope with lightning speed and side stepped away from the weird Karen.

This is too much, simply too much, why was he so unlucky? To get such a scary woman as an assistant.

"I'll see you in the morning. Have a good day Xi.on." after those words she finally left. My God! How weird! The powerful eat the weak and all that but to think there would be women who acted with such perversion. Tsk, tsk this world is full of craziness! Xion's old Master would've loved to be reborn here.

As soon as he sat on the Queen sized bed he was taken aback by the softness. He hadn't slept on a bed since he went to the Sun Branch. He looked at the letter carefully and opened it. Inside was a message from his new teacher Mr. Kon.

'Dearest Disciple,

Tomorrow at 9:00am you are to go to the battle training grounds at the 55th floor. Once there give the envelope inside the letter to the guard he will escort you to me.'

So his classes began tomorrow? At least that was something to look forward to. Once he took out the other small envelope that was inside the letter he saw a square token in the middle. It looked cheap as hell, but no matter, as long as he got to learn shit and get stronger he was fine.

"System, what's new for me today? How about recommending some skills and stuff from the shop?" Xion asked and his answer came immediately.

[System: Skills, Weapons, Armor, Scrolls, Items, Techniques, Strongholds, Functions, Clothing, Food, Technology, Science, Updates, Skill Points, Summons…]

There were almost endless options. Xion couldn't help but gasp at the almost unending list of shop options. Too much, simply too much. If he were to choose right now though he needed Items like healing potions and stuff he had seen in games. This is a gaming system so it had to have some of those. Even System Functions can be bought. Monstrous, too monstrous.

He quickly chose the 'Items' shop menu and began browsing for recovery items and such. There were Low, medium, high, SS healing pills High and SS could even regenerate limbs.

There were also Mana, stamina, strengthening and enhancing pills. Each low pill cost 20SC while the SS cost 100SC. He didn't have so much money so he bought 5 low health pills and that was it. The rest had to wait for him to get more money.

Night was falling and Xion felt like he hadn't done much. He didn't wanna waste anymore time so he quickly began meditating.

While he focused on meditating he felt that there was something wrong with his cultivation today. He couldn't stop thinking about that strange square badge that Mr. Kim had sent him.

Why did he keep thinking about it?

He grabbed it in his hand and looked at it closely. It was small, squared and had a weird emblem of some kind of sword in the middle. It felt similar to the badge that his old Master had given him, did this square token also have a hidden meaning?

Whoever made it was very good at doing small details. It was amazing, but there was something bothering Xion. He quickly began meditating with it to search it rather than feel for it. If his instincts were correct, this had a hidden message.

After injecting some aura inside he found that it was just like he had thought. It was actually very intriguing. It had a message inside waiting to be deciphered. Even thought the code was more like a puzzle with six pieces it felt easy to work on. Compared to the two-hundred piece puzzle inside his Master's coin this was easy breezy.

Xion quickly began adjusting the coded message inside the badge. He finally understood it…

"Welcome to the Devil Guild, you have been selected to participate in the competition for the Guild Master position…"

Xion was incredibly curious. But, this guild thing sounded like it was evil. What exactly are they expecting from him? And why would Mr. Kon send such a message?
