The girl in the high school uniform took a basic karate stance, preparing to engage this stalker inside his house.

"Xiao Bing, what do you think you are doing?! Apologize right now!" her mother yelled at her.

"B-But…"

"But what?! Is that how I taught you to speak?! And how dare you speak to your brother like that!"

Xiao Bing's face was twisted with shock the moment she heard the last sentence.

"My what? Mom, what did you just say?" she did not dare to believe her ears.

"Can you not recognize your own brother, Xiao Yun?! What kind of little sister are you?" said her mother who also did not recognize him at first. But she was not willing to tell them that.

Xiao Bing stood there, her eyes wide with disbelief. Her mouth was so wide open that an egg could fit inside without any trouble.

He was her brother who had left this house four years ago without contacting them since then, that Xiao Yun?!

The brother she remembers was a nerd who would do nothing but play games and watch anime all day, definitely not this handsome young man who gave off the impression of somebody mysterious and cool! When she met him at the convenience store earlier this morning, she had even given him the nickname 'Mysterious Cool Guy' inside her head!

Remembering her thoughts at that time, she could feel her face turning red from embarrassment!

Seeing her acting so quiet, Xiao Yun smiled and said, "It's been a while, Xiao Bing. Did you buy what you needed at the convenience store?"

Her shock turned to worry the moment she heard that.

'Oh no! He caught me pickpocketing at the convenience store this morning! Mom does not know that, will he tell her?'

"How was school today? Did you learn anything new?" he asked her another question. It was a question that did not match the atmosphere and time.

Hearing that, the pace of her heart quickened.

Xiao Bing clearly did not go to school today, hence her presence at the convenience store.

"Hm? Did the two of you already meet before this?" asked the mother whose mind was sharp.

Xiao Bing began sweating. The fact that she was cutting school just to hang out with her friends and stealing was a secret. If her mother finds out then she will definitely get grounded, and worse of all, have her Second Life Online life taken away from her!

Xiao Yun did not answer her question and only looked at Xiao Bing. It was as if he was going to let her speak.

"O-Of course, not…" said Xiao Bing, her voice shaky.

"Then why did you talk as if you knew him from before?"

"T-That… I…" she did not know what to say at this point.

Her earlier actions made it seem like she knew him, and knowing her mom, her lying has already been exposed.

Xiao Yun who has been quiet this whole time finally spoke, "Of course, we have met before this."

"You!" Xiao Bing could feel her blood being drained the moment he said the first two words.

"Oh? Where?"

His mother's interest was piqued.

"Because of your words, I could not wait and wanted to see for myself just how beautiful my little sisters have become, so I secretly went to their school and checked for myself. It was there where both of our paths crossed each other," he said, each of his words was smooth and clear, it was as if he had really experienced it and was only recalling his memories.

"Is that so? How did you find out which school she was enrolled in? I don't remember telling you this," his mother asked him.

"Mother, you are underestimating my memories. I still remember that day where Xiao Bing was talking about how she wanted to go to Marble High School. It was right before the new years, five years ago, right?"

"..."

Both Xiao Bing and his mother were speechless. He actually remembered that? Even they could not remember such an insignificant piece of memory from five years ago!

Ignoring them, Xiao Yun walked towards the two girls.

Xiao Bing wanted to take a step back, but her legs were not listening to her. It was as he had this aura around him that made her feel attracted to him.

And before she was aware, he was already right in front of her.

Xiao Yun reached out his hands, and he began rubbing the sister's head, messing with their hair.

"..."

Xiao Bing was surprised at his sudden action, but she did not move. It just felt too goddamn good!

His other sister, the smallest one, silently stared at him with her big bright eyes that were glittering like the stars in the midnight sky.

His appearance was too sudden and too much of a surprise to her. So much so that she was shocked speechless. She still remembers crying for an entire week nonstop because he had suddenly left.

After he had enough fun messing with their hair, he stopped and leaned his head towards the side of Xiao Bing's face.

His face almost touching hers, he whispered, "Only because I am a brother who loves to spoil his adorable little sisters."

While it may sound weird, it had actually answered the question inside her head that has been there for a while.

Why.

Why did he help her lie to their mother? He was not the same brother that was so boring and cringy in her memories. He was like an entirely different person. How can a person change so much in just four years by going to school overseas? How will she properly live her life now that her nerdy brother had a complete makeover and became a handsome and cool brother?

Her face was red from thinking about all these questions.

Taking his head back, Xiao Yun now turned his attention to the little one who was still staring at him with sparkling eyes.

"Xiao Rong, have you been a good girl while I was away?" he said.

Hearing her name being called, her eyes became even brighter. She was so excited that her eyes had begun shooting out laser beams.

Not able to suppress herself anymore, she threw her body on him, hugging him like a koala.

"Big Brother Yun! You are back!"

Xiao Yun smiled at her actions and picked her up, carrying her in his arms while laughing. He has not felt so much joy in what felt like an eternity.
