Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

Chapter 19 - Bryana Is Relieved

The next day ...

Dean drove Bryana's car at full speed toward his employer's house, because he promised to come back early in the morning. Even though it was only five o'clock, the man was returning to become a bodyguard.

Until a few minutes of driving, Dean arrived at Bryana's house and immediately drove the car into the garage. He got down and ran into the house, entered the room, and changed into a bodyguard outfit.

Dean breathed a sigh of relief, then glanced at his watch, which showed the time at 05:30 o'clock . He decided to lie down for a moment on the bed with a dark blue sheet with the logo of the famous football team on it.

"Would Jill lend me money? I wanted less and less to be indebted to Kareen, or that mother would ask me to marry her. she's nice, but to me, she's just a little brother," murmured Dean as he stared at the ceiling of his room.

Bryana stretched, yawning, still sleepy. she even got dizzy from drinking a lot of red wine all night in her room.

"Mommy ... open the door!"

The shrill voice of Calvin, banging on the door, made Bryana have to get up immediately. she got out of bed and walked unsteadily to the door and opened it.

"What's the matter, Cal? Mommy can't take you to school, go with aunty Lauren." Bryana spoke lazily and her eyes were still gloomy and reddened.

"Mommy smells!" Calvin covered his nose and looked up at his mother.

Lauren immediately approached Calvin and invited him to leave Bryana, because she knew that her employer was unstable.

"Come on, Cal, let mommy take a rest," said Lauren as she led Calvin away from Bryana who smells of alcohol.

Dean, who was already in the living room, saw Bryana from the ground floor. he could see his mistress tottering back to the room.

'Oh, since when did Jill get into a drunken habit? What happened to her getting drunk like that?' Dean wondered, then his gaze fixed on Louis, who had just come out of the room next to him.

"Dean, you're back," Louis said as he brushed his wet hair. the man was wearing basic trousers with many pockets combined with a white shirt complete with a black vest, which must have been equipped with security devices.

"Yes," replied Dean and then remembered Bryana who was drunk. "Do you know what happened to Jill? I mean Mrs. Bryana."

"I don't know," Louis replied, shrugging his shoulders. "Since coming home from the mall, she locked herself in the room, her child was even neglected."

"Really?"

"Yes, she's like a person who was heartbroken, but I don't know who broke her heart?" Louis explained then walked to the special dining room for the workers in the luxury house.

Dean looked up again at the door of Bryana's room, which was closed tightly and quietly, it reminded him of yesterday also going to the mall with Kareen. 'Was she drunk because seeing me with Kareen? Geez, no way. What's the problem, I'm nothing - who's for her.'

Dean immediately walked into the dining room to have breakfast with Louis and the others.

___

Bryana bathed herself in the cold shower, hoping to relieve the dizziness. After a few minutes of showering, the woman put on a bathrobe and walked out to the walk-in closet to pick up her work clothes.

Bryana took a knee-length cream dress and a white shirt with ribbons on the collar and sleeves, red panties, and bra, then took it to the room.

Bryana sat in the dressing table chair and stared at her reflection in the mirror. She immediately dried her hair with a hair dryer, then polished her face with make-up, and then put on the clothes she had taken earlier.

"I shouldn't be like this. Why is it so hurt to see Dean with another woman? Even though I'm nobody for him. he's also a handsome man, it's natural to have a lover." Bryana monologues with herself while imagining when Dean goes to the mall with his daughter and other women. Gosh, it turns out she was drunk just because she saw a bodyguard with another woman!

Feeling ready, Bryana immediately took her briefcase and carried her out of the room, down the stairs to the ground floor, and hurried to the dining room.

"Susan, make orange juice for me," Bryana shouted to Susan who was preparing breakfast for her because Calvin had breakfast first and was now leaving for school.

"Yes, Ma'am." Susan nodded obediently then immediately made juice for Bryana.

Dean, who had finished breakfast at another dining table, saw Bryana eating breakfast alone. He could see that the young widow only ate bread with strawberry jam, so he got up from the chair and approached his mistress.

"Good morning," said Dean with a friendly smile.

"Morning," Bryana said without turning her head.

Dean was confused about what to say, he decided to wait in the living room instead. But just as he was about to walk away, Bryana called out to him.

"Dean."

"Yes." Dean turned his head.

"How was your vacation with your daughter yesterday?" Bryana asked casually.

"We just enjoy time together at home, em ... but we went out for a bit to buy a dress," explained Dean a little nervously.

"Dress for whom?" Bryana asked.

"For my daughter, her birthday will be in five days," replied Dean.

Bryana nodded in understanding then thought about what she saw yesterday.

"Yesterday I saw you," Bryana said, then her gaze fell on Susan who brought a glass of lime juice.

"Really? But I didn't see you." Dean smiled awkwardly.

"Your daughter is very beautiful and the woman who is with you is also beautiful, is she your girlfriend?" Bryana asked without pride. That said, if you are embarrassed to ask questions, you will get lost on the road.

"No," replied Dean.

"She was my friend in college. after my wife died, she often came to see my daughter's condition, we are already close like family," he continued with an explanation.

Bryana breathed a sigh of relief, then tasted the juice using a spoon. "I thought she was your girlfriend."

"Not."

Bryana glanced at Dean who had been standing since earlier. "Aren't you tired? Sit down, let me order some juice too."

"Um, no need, I'm still full." Dean refused, then sat down on the chair at the dining table opposite Bryana.

There was a moment of silence between the two of them. dean stared at Bryana, who was so beautiful that it seemed to destroy his faith, making him forget about his mother's advice not to have love for his mistress.

Bryana drank juice while mustering up the courage to offer Dean to come with her to the party tomorrow night because she was relieved that the woman who was with her bodyguard yesterday was not her girlfriend.

"By the way, why are you drunk?" Dean asked, breaking Bryana's reverie.

"Eh, what?" Bryana asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Why are you drunk?" Dean asked with a little chuckle at Bryana's expression.

'Because I'm jealous of you with that woman,' Bryana replied to herself.. she was trying to find a good excuse because it would be a shame if Dean found out that the reason she was drunk was due to jealousy.
