Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

After making sure Calvin and Sofia were asleep, Dean and Bryana walked out of the children's room to their private room. They walked hand in hand but stopped when a voice called out.

"Dean."

Dean and Bryana turned and looked down in the direction of the voice that had called earlier. It turns out that he is Louis who is now walking up the stairs.

"Come on in. I'll talk to Louis in just a moment," Dean whispered to Bryana.

Bryana nodded casually and walked into the room alone, while Dean met Louis, who had arrived at the upper hall.

"What wrong?" asked Dean.

Dean nodded his head and invited Louis to chat outside the house on the front porch, which looked very quiet because it was 9:46 p.m.

"Dean, it looks like someone is working together to take the kids from your side and Mrs. Bryana," Louis said, then reached into his trouser pocket to retrieve his smartphone. "Look, why are they together? I think they know each other and ...and I think they're up to something other than taking the kids from you."

Dean grabbed Louis's cellphone and noticed a photo showing Alex and Gustave chatting accompanied by several well-built bodyguards. the man tightened his jaw and clenched his fists, his breath began to falter, and glanced at the top floor where the children's room was located.

"Damn! Why are they doing all this? Can't they let the kids live happily and freely? Why they always put pressure, threats, inconvenience just for their sake? I'm disgusted by all of this!"Dean was very angry, even Louis's smartphone almost slammed him before Louis grabbed the smartphone from his hand.

"I think you should add bodyguards," suggested Louis.

Dean nodded in agreement. "More bodyguards, six more bodyguards. I will arrange their work schedule, facilities, and all their duties to protect the kids"

"Very well. But ... don't you need guard too?" asked Louis.

Dean rolled his eyes then gave Louis a strange glance. "Have you forgotten who I am? I am a bodyguard. How is the story that bodyguards are guarded by bodyguards?"

Louis chuckled and patted Dean on the shoulder. "You are the master here!"

Louis did not move for a moment as he crossed his arms and clutched his smooth chin without a beard. "Keep going. I'll take care of them," he exclaimed.

"But I'm worried," said Dean uncertainly at Louis. he remembered that the Bodyguard had kissed Lauren while Calvin was sleeping, which made him doubt that the bodyguard would look after his kids properly. The man was afraid that his best friend would let his guard down because he was so busy going out with the baby sister.

"Worried? Didn't you see how comfortable Calvin was with me? I've fought several times with all the people Alex ordered who wanted to take him from me. Don't doubt my ability!"Louis emphasized with his frown and glared at Dean.

Dean took a deep breath. "I do not doubt your abilities, but your seriousness. I'm worried you will guard them carelessly when being alone with Lauren."

"Alone with Lauren?" Louis looked surprised.

"Yes. I already know that you are in a relationship." Dean glanced amused at Louis. "I've seen you kissing her on the stairs. You don't seem to have the right place to make out."

Louis smiled shyly and became embarrassed. He even scratched his head which was not itchy. "I ... I just couldn't help myself. You know, I'm a normal guy and Lauren managed to make my faith crumble."

"Yes, but it's best not to be careless when making out. And don't forget your job as a bodyguard just because it's fun to date. I convinced Bryana not to ban your relationship because you will keep the kids well. Don't disappoint the trust that Bryana and I gave!" Dean reiterated. Louis nodded his head. "You take it easy. Everything will be safe and the kids won't be hurt or even kidnapped. You just have fun with Mrs. Bryana."

Dean nodded and invited Louis and Samuel to check the conditions around the house for almost an hour. After that, he returned to the room and saw Bryana asleep on the bed covered with a thick red blanket with a small star motif.

'She just felt happy over our marriage. It's better not to tell about the kids' insecurities because I don't want to bring her back feeling anxious and worried. I want to see her smiling happily and I make sure the kids will be safe with Louis and the other Bodyguards.' Dean said to himself as he rubbed Bryana's forehead affectionately, then kissed her.

after kissing Bryana's forehead, Dean walked to the bathroom bypassing the walk-in closet. He was about to wash up because he hadn't had time to take a shower.

Bryana blinked as she stretched. she glanced around, which was still quiet and there was no sign that Dean was back. The woman let out a rough breath because she was annoyed that she was always left for a long time.

"He says only briefly, but it could be hours lest. He served his duty as a bodyguard and forgot about me again. Huh!"Bryana chuckled irritably.

"I'm back, honey," said Dean, who came out of the walk-in closet wearing cream-colored shorts combined with a thin white t-shirt. he smiled at Bryana who was looking annoyed.

"Yes, you always come back when I'm sleeping," Bryana said and then lay back on her side with her back to Dean who approached her.

"I can not calm down until the conditions around the house will be safe. I don't want anything to happen to our family."Dean sat on the edge of the bed right next to Bryana.

"That's Louis and Samuel's job!" Bryana confirmed.

Dean took a deep breath, then glanced in another direction as he said, "I want to be in charge too because my responsibility is to make our family comfortable."

"Yes, but I'm uncomfortable with being left alone at night. I want us to talk at bedtime, talk about the future. It's something women have always wanted."

"Yes, I will not repeat it.. You are my priority!" Dean emphasized and his eyes found a box of milk with the picture of a burly man and a horse beside him. 'Is that wild horse milk?' he thought
