Arriving at the Kendo competition, his group consisted of the kendo club girls, Raynare, Kunou, and surprisingly Kiba who joined him last minute. They didn't think that Kiba would be allowed to come for something like this based on how generally all peerages stay together at all times, so it's rare for one member to go on their own.

They set up the tournament in a grand order mainly because it was in the capital and was one of the biggest events in the Kendo world of Japan. They had three separate divisions for the kendo tournament one for the girls and another for the boys. The last division was a special one where boys and girls could challenge each other in this division, but it was strongly advised that only ones that were truly strong join this division. They also had a special set up to were the winner of each division of the boys and girls could join in the semi-finals of the mixed division.

Sephiroth really was interested in this whole kendo tournament set up, he saw a couple strong practitioners in this tournament as well. He saw 2 girls and 1 boy that gave off a powerful aura when they were stacked against normal humans by far. He really wanted to test them and was thinking of joining in the mixed division after seeing some of their skills and techniques during this tournament.

He was in luck because the mixed division wasn't until after the boy and girl division were all settled, meaning that the mixed division would be on the second day. Giving the ones that fought earlier a chance to rest something that made sense to one's that don't have stamina like he does. You can join the mixed division up until it is about to start so he still had time to decide but that would have to wait till later.

Sephiroth turned to Kiba "Who in this tournament do you think has a real chance at winning it all together?" Interested to find out what his acquaintance thought and see if he could see what he saw of those 3 special people here in the kendo tournament.

"Hmmm….. Out of everyone that I have seen there are two people that really stand out to me are Saeko Busujima also known as the sword goddess to many in the kendo world and that young girl over there with blonde hair and sky blue eyes. She looks like a foreigner given her characteristics but the feeling that I get from her tells me that she is strong." Kiba answered back while having a thinking expression on his face while he scanned the large crowd in front of him.

"There is one more that you missed Kiba, look at that gentleman over there" Sephiroth pointed to the man that Kiba failed to notice, he was a handsome young man with silver-white hair and red eyes.

Kiba studied the guy a little more and was able to sense his strength now that he was looking at him directly, something that he missed earlier because he was only lightly scanning the crowds not looking at each person individually. It made Kiba release that he still had a long way to go to catch up to Sephiroth it seems. Maybe he will join the mixed division of the tournament, he will be able to fight the silver haired guy he can use it to temper himself.

Elsewhere in the crowds the people that Sephiroth mentioned earlier were also doing the same and scanning everyone and many of them noticed something different about Sephiroth's group especially the blonde girl and silver haired boy.

Waiting for a while the tournament finally started, the girls division was up first. There were quite a lot of women attending the tournament and the fights went fast. Many of the girls that were in the kendo club with him did exceptionally well given that he had trained them to some degree especially Murayama and Katase who did the best so far and made it to the semi finals out of all the girls left in the kendo club of Kuoh Academy.

Sephiroth was impressed with what he saw from the girl called Saeko and her swordsmanship, she was a true practitioner of the sword much like himself a warrior. But he couldn't help but notice that there was something different about her when she was fighting people. When he looked at her face closely he would see a gleam in her eyes when she was fighting someone.

He was also impressed by the blonde girl who he found out was called Jeanne Arc, she was just as skilled as Kiba and Saeko are if not more but he would have to fight her to know for sure. There is only so much you can get by seeing someone fight, he must experience it in person to really be able to judge her skill level.

When the semi finals finally started there were only four people left Jeanne, Saeko, Murayama and Katase. The next match was going to be Murayama against Jeanne and then after that Saeko against Katase.

"Sephiroth what do you think of the next match that is coming up?" Kiba asked curious what his friend thought of the upcoming fight with Jeanne and Murayama. The rest of the group listened in as well, curious what Sephiroth was thinking.

"While Murayama is strong, the other Jeanne is far stronger when it comes to both her skill level and personal strength. Murayama doesn't stand a chance against her" Sephiroth said with his face showing an indifferent expression on it. Not even caring that one of the girls that he trained somewhat is going to be defeated so easily soon.

The group all nodded their heads to Sephiroth's statement because even though Murayama was fairly strong, they knew that there was something special about Jeanne, something that made her more than a normal human just didn't know what that was yet at least.

When the fight finally did start for them it went much like Sephiroth said Murayama put up a decent fight and was almost able to score a point against Jeanne but in the end she could overcome her and lost in the end. She had made Jeanne work for it though if her sweating face was anything to go by, Sephiroth was impressed somewhat with how well Murayama did against this girl. As was the rest of the crowd, it was a good fight even though it seemed to be fairly one sided but a good fight nonetheless.

The next fight ended even quicker with Saeko and Katase, Katase is the weakest person out of the four and Saeko was probably the strongest girl there so while Katase lasted, you could tell that Saeko wasn't really trying hard for the win. Something that Sephiroth and Kiba were able to pick up while watching the fight.

The kendo girls were sad that they were all out of the girl division of the tournament but they didn't expect to win anyway against Saeko Busujima the sword goddess. Some of them were going to try their luck in the mixed division tomorrow and see how they placed there.

While waiting for the final round of the tournament to start for the girl division, Sephiroth walked to Saeko to speak to her for a moment "I'm impressed with your skill in the sword Saeko Busujima. I will be waiting for you in the mixed division tomorrow" Not waiting for a reply he walked back to his group to watch the final round.

'I wonder who that was, I couldn't even sense him coming up besides me till he spoke to me. I have a feeling that he is strong, very strong. So he is joining the mixed division tomorrow huh, well better not disappoint him then I haven't had a good fight in a while now' thought Saeko while she stared at Sephiroth walking away, while her battle l.u.s.t started to rise up at the thought of fighting someone strong tomorrow.

When Sephiroth got back to the group "Onii-chan what did you say to her?" Kunou asked in a cute manner wondering what her Onii-chan said to Saeko seeing that he didn't stay over there for long.

Rubbing her head with a slight smile on his face "I told her I'd see her tomorrow during the mixed tournament being held tomorrow" To which Kunou just nodded her head enjoying the head patts she was receiving. Once Kiba heard that Sephiroth was for sure going to join the mixed division of the tournament he made up his mind as well to join to at least test himself.

The finals finally started of Saeko vs Jeanne, The battle that the crowd watched was in one word amazing. Both fighters showed masterful skill in the sword and were evenly matched for each other, no one winning over the other. Then something changed in Saeko where she started slowly increasing her swordsmanship against Jeanee, enough to where Jeanee was always on the defensive and then just couldn't block it anymore and ended up losing in the end.

Thus in the end Saeko Busujima the sword goddess won the girl division of the kendo tournament.

"Hmmm, she has such skill at such an age. A shame she is only human, maybe in the future we can change that" thought Sephiroth

"I wonder if Rias would take someone like Saeko as her other knight, I'll have to inform her when I get back she would make for a powerful peerage member" Kiba thought to himself

"That Onēsan was so cool and strong, I want to be like that when I'm older. Maybe I should learn the sword too, I can have Onii-chan teach me. I'm sure he would, he does love me so much I can tell" thought Kunou to herself thinking about all the fun she can have with Sephiroth later in learning the sword.

Everyone in Sephiroth's group was thinking their own thing except Raynare. She had this disinterested look on her face but knowing her personality she wouldn't care about humans in general they are nothing but pawns to her for her goals.
