Servants With A Modern Weapon

Chapter 78 - Gordon Murray, Christine's ..........

The guild leader opened his office door for me, and I stood near the door while biting a combat blade on my mouth and still aiming the Railgun on my hands. I stood still with some awkward silence.

"Please, take a seat," his attitude of arrogance had changed and became more charming.

Like a cold breeze in winter, the silence between us just won't break down. The cloudy skies outside just added more coldness to the situation.

"Nah, I still can't trust you," I said to him.

"Then, will this change your mind?" He said as he put a Glock on his table. "Have you meet Christine or Alexa?" He asked me again.

Nobody calls hero companion by their real name as far as I know. This comes as a surprise for me. It means that he must know something about them, I think I can put some trust in him, but don't mistake it as my kindness.

"I have met both of them," as I put my railgun on my back and sat on the sofa.

"My name is Gordon Murray, please to meet you, so do you know what is the hero's real name?" He asked me.

"Nope, but I know his other world name," I said to him.

"And what it is?" He asked me back.

"Colonel Isabel Johnston, member of the 1st detachment special forced delta, a member of ESOC," I said to him.

"Ok, so you know her that much, well, I think I got no suspicion on you, Mr.Galliard," he said as suddenly I heard a lot of gunshots from downstairs.

Gunshots are never a sign of good things. There is a lot of things that can happen if I can hear a gunshot. One, I still alive. Second, there must be something bad from that direction. Third, better be prepared.

"What the hell happened?" He asked me, looking panicky.

"Well, you can look outside," I said as I looked through the windows and saw 2 APCs and an Abrams were parked in front of the guild.

"So, this is the army of yours?" He asked me as the door got blown off by several people.

All of them were wearing a balaclava, and most of them were putting down Gordon. They put a handcuff on him, and finally, the commander of the operation came. They wore a black outfit, which gave an intimidating effect.

"Wait, Christine, is that you?" Gordon tried to speak.

"Wait, I recognized that voice, are you, Gordon Murray?" She asked him while opening her balaclava.

"Yes, I'm Gordon, the f.u.c.k.i.n.g tank. Now untie me, will you?" He said rudely.

"Nah, Nah... who has the upper hand here?" She stepped on Gordon's face.

"Could you please move these goons of yours away," He begged her.

"Where is the magic word?" She asked him while stepping her foot on his body.

"Please," he begged her.

"Nah, Nah, you are missing one word," she said.

"Please master," he said again.

What the hell is happening? That's some weird shit right there. Though I think I will found the answer soon. Christine moved her foot from Gordon and walked to the nearest wall.

"Guys, move from him," She told all of her subordinates.

The privates moved away from Gordon, and he approached Christine. He had that kind of strange face. He hugged her.

"Where did you go? I miss you so much," he said while c.a.r.e.s.sing Christine's long brown hair.

"I miss you so much too, Gordy," she said as she touched Gordon's muscular c.h.e.s.t.

Knowing that this conversation will go to a.d.u.l.thood pretty quick, I commanded the other soldiers to move away from both of them, "Privates, Sergeants, RTB," I said as I put a car key to in the magazine pocket of Christine.

The rest of the soldiers with me left that lovey-dovey couple. I think the bedroom for the guild master also included in his office. Downstairs, Garth, Cecile, and Maria were aiming their rifles at the adventurers that were tied down.

"Mike, Where the heck did you go?" I asked Maria who was aiming her AK5 to the adventurers.

"What? I returned ASAP to the car and grabbed the emergency kit, and joined with Cecile and the others to attack this building. You gave the protocol "f.u.c.k.e.d" after all," she said to me.

"No, I mean, who was the other guy?" I asked her with a confused tone.

"He? he was the son of the governor," she said with a straight tone without any sense of guilt.

"General, what should we do with this adventurer?" One of the sergeants asked me.

"Release them and gave them an apology in the form of these platinum coins each for them," I said as I put all my coins in a table in front of the bar.

The soldiers released all of the adventurers, and each of them queuing in front of the bar while we gave them one platinum coins each. Their faces turned brighter once we gave them the platinum coin. I read the clock on my watch, and it said at 5.40 pm, but the skies had already got dark.

After that, the chefs, the soldiers, and we cooked a full meal for them using the stuff that was available at the guild. But the most spectacular one was Garth working in a great combination with the bartender. He knew a lot since sir Alex was a heavy drinker, and he liked to drink in style, so my father and I taught him a lot about alcohol.

Although it seems weird, we haven't taken off our balaclava. Though the warm of the food and the drink ended our conflict and we left the place up the chefs and the others. We said goodbye to the adventurers, and they waved back their hands at us.

When I stood underneath the guild master's room, I could a slight noise from the lovey-dovey couple honeymooning. What a coincidence that I met all of the hero companions. What a shame that she returned to the real world.

While the other soldiers were entering the APC and left the MBT since I was going to use it to return to the academy. The car key was in Christine's hands, Afterall, and, I'm going to be an imbecile by using an MBT to go back to the academy.

Cecile and Maria got inside the tank while Garth and I were sitting on the machine gun turret of our tanks. With such an intimidating roar, we started the tank engine. We used our spell that we developed together, which was the [Sound Barrier] around the engine, so the diesel engine didn't sound too loud.

Cecile moved the tank slowly back to the academy. Every person was looking at our seems to weirdly looking machine. I think this would attract the attention of bandits and the governor himself, but I didn't care. Although, I seem to be forgetting something, what?

We brought the tanks to the gate and got stopped by the guard there. In fact, lots of guards were guarding the gates of the academy. They were readying their weapons and approached us.

"Excuse me, who are you?" One of the guards asked me who was holding the .50 BMG turret.

"Oh, me?" I said as I slid down the mouth part of my balaclava.

"Oh, sorry if I don't see you, Mr.Galliard," he said as he opened the gate for us. It looks like they were confused by our appearance in a different vehicle than the car.

We moved the tank to our usual parking space and parked it there. The size of the tank was twice a car and pretty big too. We turned off the engine and walked back to our own room to enjoy the evening.
