SYOMSLFY Chapter 3.2 — Of Course He Thought About It. More Than Once.

Before it was time to get off work, Luo Qi left the company early to go to the hospital.

The bodyguard on duty outside the door of the VIP ward today is not Jiang Yueru’s bodyguard, so she doesn’t know him.

Luo Qi was about to introduce herself, but the bodyguard pushed open the glass door and invited her in.

“Thank you.” She wondered why she wasn’t even asked who she was.

The door of the ward was half open, and it was busier than yesterday.

Luo Qi walked to the door, but before she had time to knock on the door, someone happened to come out of the ward with a familiar face—he was a junior of the Jiang family, and she had met him in Director Jiang’s office.

The man also knew her, nodded to her and said ‘hello’, then turned to the room and said, “Assistant Luo is here.” The chatter and laughter in the ward stopped abruptly, and they all looked over at the same time.

The six or seven young men and women inside were all juniors of the Jiang family.

Luo Qi knew the big Jiang family very well. There were six brothers and sisters in Jiang Yueru’s generation—three older brothers and two older sisters. Jiang Yueru was the youngest.

The eldest brother was over eighty years old this year, while Jiang Yueru was not yet sixty, and the difference in age between the two siblings was over twenty years.

In that era, marriages were generally early, and the eldest brother got married and had children when he reached the legal age of marriage, so Jiang Yueru and her eldest brother’s son were about the same age.

The difference in seniority is such that Jiang Yueru’s son is about the same age as the eldest brother’s grandson.

Their big boss, Jiang Shenghe, is the son of Jiang Yueru’s third brother’s family.

Seeing her coming, the juniors of the Jiang family stood up and said goodbye, saying that they would come to the hospital tomorrow and told their aunt to rest well.

Jiang Yueru waved her hand, “Don’t bother, I’m almost recovered.”

As soon as they left, the ward became quiet.

Jiang Yueru was leaning against the inclined bed—her complexion was better than yesterday, and she was much more energetic. She pointed to a chair in front of the bed, and motioned to Luo Qi, “Sit down and talk.”

Luo Qi hung her bag on the back of the chair, “There is no important work to report. Everything that needs to be reported has already been reported to Chief Jiang. I just came here to talk to you.”

Unexpectedly, there were so many people from the Jiang family.

Jiang Yueru asked in concern, “Did you work late last night?”

“No, I went back on time.”

“Stop it, I don’t believe it.”

Luo Qi smiled. “Really, how dare I lie to you.”

“You lie and I’m supposed to believe? You think I don’t know? You work overtime until midnight and say you’re off work normally; work overtime through the night and say you’re off work by nine o’clock, isn’t this your habit?” Jiang Yueru pointed to the fruit plate on the tea cabinet, “Peel a kiwi.”

Luo Qi washed her hands. The kiwi fruit was hard to peel, so she had to use a knife to do it.

Jiang Yueru tells her, “I plan to retire early, at the end of the year.”

The fruit knife in Luo Qi’s hand stopped. Jiang Yueru was a well-known workaholic, and the word ‘retirement’ seemed to never be related to her.

She looked at Jiang Yueru in surprise, “Why did you suddenly have this idea, Director Jiang?”

“It’s not sudden—I had this plan a long time ago. Age is not forgiving, and one can only accept it gracefully.” Jiang Yueru self-evaluated, “I trained people in Yuanwei well. There are many elite talents: Li Rui, Xiaoju, and you, are considered to have achieved great success based on your merits and virtues.”

Li Rui is in her early forties and is now the vice president of Yuanwei Group, a vigorous and resolute strong woman. Xiaoju is Jiang Shenghe’s secretary, Luo Qi’s ‘master’.

And Lou Qi herself—it wasn’t lip service to call her an elite talent; she deserves it.

Luo Qi peeled the kiwi fruit and handed it to Jiang Yueru.

“I can’t eat it.” Jiang Yue raised her chin slightly, “I asked you to cut it for you yourself to eat.”

Luo Qi: “….”

Anyway, it has been cut, so she has to eat it herself.

The kiwi had just been placed in her mouth, before she had time to bite, when there were hurried footsteps at the door.

Luo Qi raised her head, and the slender figure had already opened the door and entered.

She took the kiwi away from her mouth, “Older brother Jiang.”

The person who came was Jiang Yueru’s son, that is, Jiang Shenghe’s cousin, one of the shareholders of Yuanwei Capital. He was head of the project team when she was an intern at Yuanwei Capital. The second generation, ancestor, playboy—Jiang Sixun.

It was Jiang Sixun who recommended her project plan to Jiang Shenghe years ago.

When Jiang Yueru was young, she and her husband had a bad relationship and ended up divorced. Her son followed her and changed his surname to Jiang.

Jiang Sixun didn’t like being controlled by his parents and he had been abroad all this time. He probably came back because Jiang Yueru was in the hospital.

The men of the Jiang family, whether it was the few who came to visit Jiang Yueru just now, or Jiang Shenghe and Jiang Sixun, were all good looking, noble and handsome, each with their own characteristics.

Jiang Sixun’s usual dressing style can only be described as ‘romantic’, but today he actually wore a white shirt with the top button buttoned up, looking serious.

Luo Qi wasn’t used to it and stared for a second.

Holding a dark, striped tie in his hand, Jiang Sixun closed the door of the ward and said to Luo Qi, “Don’t look at me; eat your fruit.”

Luo Qi is no stranger to Jiang Sixun, otherwise it would be impossible to call Jiang Sixun ‘older brother’. Every time Jiang Sixun returned to China, he would treat her to dinner, learn about Jiang Yueru’s recent situation, and then ask her to take care of Jiang Yueru’s body and emotions.

Jiang Sixun threw the tie on the bed and asked his mother, “How do you feel this afternoon?”

“I’m okay.” Jiang Yueru looked at the tie on the bed, and then at her son, “You look like a made up dog today—where did you get the tie? Who bought you the clothes on your body? How was the blind date? Did they take a fancy to you?”

A series of four questions were thrown.

Jiang Sixun poured water to drink, unbuttoned his shirt with one hand, and breathed smoothly after freeing his neck. “The tie and clothes were brought to me by third uncle, and he forced me to change into them, saying that my original shirt was airy, not serious enough, and would make me lose face.”

As for the result of the blind date, “I don’t remember what that woman looks like, and I didn’t even look at her.” After half an hour, they went back to their respective homes.

On the first day after returning to China, he was taken on a blind date by his third uncle. His third uncle couldn’t control Jiang Shenghe, so he used him to death instead, as he finally found someone he could reason with.

Jiang Yueru teased, “Your third uncle thinks you lack fatherly love, so bear with it.”

Jiang Sixun was speechless and let out a ‘Hah!’

Luo Qi ate the kiwi in silence, not participating in the conversation.

She drank cold water, trying to get rid of the tiny seed that got stuck between teeth. She hadn’t yet finished eating her kiwi, when someone opened the door of the ward again. There was still fruit in her mouth, so she hurriedly chewed a few times and swallowed.

“Chief Jiang.” She stood up abruptly, like a conditioned reflex.

Jiang Shenghe nodded, “Sit.”

When he walked over to the hospital bed, the tie on the bed looked familiar.

Jiang Sixun leaned against the window sill and said with a smile, “I suffered for you today.”

Jiang Shenghe looked sideways, “What’s the crime?”

“The crime of a blind date. Third uncle forced me to go.” He pointed to the bed, “He also brought an outfit for me to wear.”

No wonder Jiang Shenghe found the tie familiar—it turned out to be a new one he had bought some time ago and had used only once.

Walking to the tea cabinet, there are three or four fruit plates on it.

In fact, he didn’t want to eat it, but he forked a piece of watermelon anyway and put it in his mouth.

Luo Qi saw that Jiang Shenghe was also eating fruit, and she was not so restrained anymore when eating kiwi fruit in front of the boss.

Jiang Sixun was still standing by the window sill, drinking water leisurely. He looked away from the two of them, took out his mobile phone, and typed a line to send.

Immediately, Jiang Shenghe’s cell phone vibrated—Jiang Sixun had sent him a message: [All these years, you really never thought about snatching Luo Qi away? Don’t tell me you have high morals twenty-four hours a day.]

Jiang Shenghe stared at the message for a few seconds.

He locked the screen phone, sent no reply.

Of course he thought about it.

More than once.
