[7YrSecretLove] Chapter 9.1 — Take Care of Her at the Banquet Table

When Jiang Shenghe returned to the meeting room, he glanced at the documents on top of his laptop before sitting down—the documents had been moved. The “T” key was not blocked before, but now the letter cannot be seen.

He couldn’t help chuckling inside. It seemed that she remembered her masterpiece after all.

Putting the phone aside, Jiang Shenghe put on his gold-rimmed glasses again and continued to read the documents as if nothing had happened.

The three of them were also pretending, all of them restraining themselves from looking at him.

Everything in the conference room seemed to be normal.

Jiang Shenghe flipped through a few pages of information, “How is your discussion?”

Secretary Ju looked at Luo Qi, “Go ahead first.”

Luo Qi was very familiar with this project and knew all the twists and turns. She could probably point out which items the boss was dissatisfied with, but she couldn’t guess how the boss planned to adjust.

“My thoughts are not very mature.”

Jiang Shenghe cast his eyes over Lu Qi, “Tell me.”

Luo Qi and the boss looked at each other politely for two seconds, and then her gaze dropped to just below his eyes.

Jiang Shenghe looked away at the appropriate time, looked at the report in his hand, and listened carefully to what she had to say.

In this project, they give up a small interest to Boss He, and Yuanwei Medical earns it back and earns more besides.

Boss He would not face a loss—he would simply exchange his network of resources for a future project for monetary benefits now.

It’s a win-win for both parties.

Jiang Shenghe stared at Luo Qi, her thoughts coincided with his. She has been with his aunt for a long time, and her exposure was no longer limited to certain projects—she now considers the overall situation of Yuanwei Group.

“Yes, we’ll do it according to what you said.”

“There’s coffee in the pantry,” he said.

Luo Qi and Secretary Ju each poured a cup, and the colleague also poured a cup of black tea.

Right now, Jiang Shenghe was not in the meeting room, and they were completely relaxed.

After staring at the computer all afternoon, Secretary Ju now stood in front of the window and looked out. She could see Luo Qi’s house from here, but the range of vision was not as good as that from the living room windows.

“It would be interesting to wear that kind of dress.” Secretary Ju pointed out the window. “The neighborhood near your home is really the best place for pictorials.”

Luo Qi also had this plan. She has thought about how many sets to shoot, the style of each set, and where to shoot. It’s too hot right now, and she planned to wait until September when they get the marriage license to shoot photos.

Secretary Ju sipped her coffee leisurely and leaned against the edge of the table, “By the way, didn’t you go to try on wedding dresses this morning? Did you take a picture?”

“I took some photos.” 

“Show me! You must have looked gorgeous.” Secretary Ju put down her coffee cup, dragged the chair to Luo Qi’s side, and sat next to her.

They were looking at photos of Luo Qi in a wedding dress when Jiang Shenghe walked in.

Their other colleague coughed twice to alert them, but they didn’t notice.

“This one looks good, you look beautiful, like an immortal.”

Luo Qi said, “I like this one too.”

When they looked up, Jiang Shenghe was already sitting opposite.

Jiang Shenghe said casually, “Online shopping?”

Secretary Ju said truthfully, “No, I was admiring Luo Qi’s wedding dress.”

Jiang Shenghe nodded, and for a few seconds, he suddenly didn’t know what to do. 

He took off his glasses, wiped the lens casually.

Before the break time was over, Secretary Ju and Luo Qi had another two-minute discussion in low voices on the style of the wedding dress and which studio to choose for the upcoming wedding photos.

Jiang Shenghe kept on wiping his glasses. 

Finally, he clicked on his phone’s photo album and looked at the hand-drawn figure. Outside of work, this was the only connection between him and her.
