Shadow Of The Mist

A few days passed already but Yuu can't concentrate since he woke up in the hospital. Every thought is blurry and it's harder to use his chakra. It is easier to use his bloodline limit, probably due to the level up, but it is harder than ever to control his chakra circuit. Thus he can't learn any jutsu. It is just to hard to get his concentration strong enough on his chakra circuit while simultaneously moving it the right way to trigger a jutsu.

The reason is probably the strange transformation but he doesn't know what it is. He often asks the system what this strange power was, or why he heard a voice when he entered this new mode. The system never answers directly and always replies with: [It is related to host's bloodline. If host wants to find out more about it he either has to do it himself or raise the level of his bloodline limit to a sufficient level] Of course that is frustrating, so it is even harder to concentrate.

His mind is also struggling because of his brother. Ever since the attack, Yagura was unconscious. Because his brother wasn't able to be his guardian at the moment, and the mizukage is worried, because Yuu killed someone, Yagura's friend Ao will watch over him for the time being. He is the man that fought against the enemies before he appeared. He seems trustworthy, but Yuu doesn't really trust him. It is even harder to trust him because he sometimes just disappears, especially at night, and appears the next morning with injuries.

However, Yagura needs an antidote. If he doesn't get it he can be kept alive with a special herb, but he won't be able to wake up. He doesn't know where to get it, but he knows that not a single person within the village dares to collect the flower needed to produce it. He knows that it grows somewhere in the land of water, but the mizukage told him that they feared a missing-nin that lives near the place.

The missing-nin is said to be very strong and lives near the place the plant grows because of some promise. A lot of ninja went there in the past and were never seen again so the mizukage declared it to be a danger zone.

Though he knew a lot of information about the missing-nin and the plant his brother needed, he still doesn't know the location where both of them were. Thus he is even more frustrated. Because of that he doesn't really pay attention in class and always goes straight to the place Ao lives. On the way there he often meets Mei, his brothers teammate. She tries to be nice and wants to talk to him, but Yuu ignores her most of the time, because he is lost in thoughts.

At Ao's place he mostly practices his swordsmanship or his bloodline limit. Because of that both of them are going to rise a level soon. He doesn't do anything else. It is a little easier to control his chakra than when he woke up, but it is still to weak to use a jutsu.

It isn't necessary to master a jutsu to become a ninja, but it is easier to achieve higher ranks if you can. If you pass the other part of the graduation exam you can become a ninja too. If you only pass the first part you have a two week period. If you don't complete 2 missions in this time you will have to go back to the academy.

Most of the kids don't use that method, because, even if it is just the lowest level, it is hard to get 2 missions done in that short amount of time. Yuu doesn't care about it because he would get it done with ease, but he wants to use that time to search for the flower his brother needs. That's why he hesitates to try the graduation exam without any jutsu, despite his bloodline limit.

He still can't use his bloodline limit efficiently, but it is getting better. Because he got the shadows of the men he killed, he can strengthen his ability. He can harden his shadow, split the shadow onto more than one and make a very big shadow that fights for him. Of course his 'Shadow cloak' , the ability where he hides himself with the help of the shadow, is more afficient as well.

Before he got the shadows, he could have hidden himself without getting detected by a chunin level sensory ninja but now he could probably hide himself from a special jonin. If he can use all of his abilities he can surely become a strong ninja. He could even join the anbu, just like Ken suggested. But before any of that happens, he has to save his brother.
