My name is Snape at Hogwarts

Chapter 94 Christmas Chapter

It's night time soon.

The Great Hall of Hogwarts has changed greatly, with fir and pine trees arranged along the walls, flickering under the light of magic candles.

Pieces of snowflakes were falling down from the ceiling, and before reaching the top of the head, they dissipated and turned into small dots of light, which looked very gorgeous.

The students had already been sitting at the dining table, chatting with each other heartily, stretching out their hands from time to time, gesticulating, and beaming with joy, all looking happy.

Snape sat next to Lily, listening to the exchange between Lily and Pandora, the two little girls were discussing how to spend their holidays.

"I want to talk to my parents about this place, as well as my sister." Lily said to Pandora happily, "They will definitely like this."

Pandora smiled and nodded: "You are very lucky, not all parents are so enlightened."

"I think so too." Lily nodded happily, "I've heard that many people's homes are afraid of magic, and I can't understand their thoughts."

"Perhaps, what they are just afraid of is the unknown." Pandora said softly, "Magic is far away from them."

Snape looked at Pandora in surprise, he didn't expect that such a young girl could think of this.

"Well, you should be right." Lily nodded indifferently, "By the way, have you thought about how to spend the holiday?"

"If there are no accidents, I'm afraid I will go to the United States with my uncle." Pandora said calmly, "My grandma is there, and my uncle wants to take me to see her."

"Going abroad to play?" Lily was a little envious, "That's great, it must be wonderful."

"I don't like it there." Pandora glanced at Lily and said softly, "If possible, I would prefer to stay in the UK. The American magic community is a bunch of xenophobic guys, arrogant and rude, I dare say, absolutely not Any wizard would like them."

"America also has a wizarding world?" Lily asked curiously, "I thought only England had it."

"In fact, many countries have their own magic world." Pandora introduced, "As long as there are enough wizards, the magic world will be established."

"Okay." Lily nodded, and suddenly asked Snape, "So, what about you, Sev? You should be home, right? Do you want to come and play with me?"

"Me?" Snape raised his eyebrows. "I don't mind if I have time. I'm not going home, though."

"Are you going to run away from home?" Lily asked in surprise. For some reason, Snape always felt that there was eagerness in the girl's eyes.

"You're thinking wrong." Snape stretched out his hand expressionlessly, and rubbed her little head fiercely, "I'm just doing something with the professor, don't think about it."

"Tch—" Lily curled her lips, and then looked at him curiously, "Are you going out with Professor Flitwick?"

"Yes." Snape nodded.

"Sev—" Lily rolled her eyes and drew out her voice, calling Snape's name. She was about to say something, but was interrupted by Snape.

"I know what you're going to say." Snape smiled slightly. "Sorry, I can't tell you."

"Stingy!" Lily wrinkled her nose and snorted dissatisfiedly. Snape smiled slightly and said nothing.

"It seems that this holiday will be boring." Lily said with a sigh.

"Not at all." Snape smiled. "With Petunia with you, and—"

As he said that, he took out a book from his pocket that had already cast the shrinking spell: "This book, you need to memorize it, and when we meet again, I will test you."

"What book?" Lily glanced at Snape suspiciously, and took the book.

"It's nothing, it's just a book for entertainment, but there are some things in it that are really useful." Snape shrugged lightly, "Old rules, you know."

"Okay." Lily pouted, the happy expression on her face disappeared, she glanced at Snape resentfully, and put the book in her pocket.

"I need to remind you that during the holidays, you may not be able to use magic. You'd better restore it to its original size before leaving Hogwarts." Snape reminded.

"You can't use magic during the holidays?" Lily's eyes widened suddenly. "Why? I still want to show my mother what I have learned!"

"Then I'm afraid you will be disappointed." Snape looked at her with a smile, "The wizarding world has its own laws, and there is a detailed rule called the "Reasonable Restraining of Underage Wizards Law", which prohibits all unidentified Adult wizards, which are 17-year-old wizards, use magic outside of school, except in some special cases, such as using magic in self-defense""

"You know, this rule applies to all underage wizards, regardless of whether they are born in a wizarding family or a Muggle family."

Although, for those born in wizarding families, this rule is basically useless.Snape didn't say that.

Pandora glanced at Snape, smiled slightly, and clearly saw Snape's concealment, but she didn't say anything, instead she nodded to Lily, expressing that she was sure Snape was right.

"Okay." Lily nodded disappointedly.

"It's okay, you can bring some gifts back to your family, things in the wizarding world are always very strange to them." Snape rubbed Lily's little head.

"Well, you're right." Lily smiled, not so low.

"Ding ding ding——" Several knocking sounds came from the rostrum, and the noisy auditorium instantly became quiet, and everyone's eyes were focused on the white wizard who had stood up.

"Another semester has passed." Dumbledore said with a smile, "I guess your little brains are already full of expectations for delicious food, joy of festivals and longing for going home. Yes, you should think so. However, before that, you have to listen to a few words from me, a bad old man."

"In this semester, some people get happiness, some people get knowledge, and some people get friendship. These are very important. Although, some people's grades are a mess, but I believe that this is not what you want of."

"Tomorrow morning, except for the students staying at school, everyone else can take the Hogwarts Express to leave here, and we will meet again after a month. When we meet again, I hope you still have Memories with magical knowledge."

"Finally, I want to say Merry Christmas!"

As soon as the words fell, all the long tables were slowly churning, and the roasted suckling pig, the fragrant turkey, and all kinds of delicacies appeared in everyone's sight.

Amidst the laughter of the students, the clinking of cups among the professors, and the joyous festive atmosphere, Snape's first semester of first year came to an end...
