SIBLINGS: Forbidden Love

"Yea I know, I tried so much to stay out of sight. I watched you get into the supermarket and waited for you to come out and then you did with a carton of beer, so I thought 'damn Jason is really hurt'" she smiled "I followed you back to your home, I wanted to talk to you but then I figured you might really want to be alone, so I decided to stand guard outside, you know. I was pacing up and down wondering if I would be able to know how you are fairing when I saw Anna, she was surprised to see me but then I told her everything, she actually ran into the house before I finished talking, shouting 'Jason, Jason'" she smiled again.

Jason felt like he was hit by a lightening bolt when he heard her words, she told Anna? His mind flashed back to the night he told his family, but if she already told Anna, why did she still act surprise when he said it? Memories of that heated afternoon with her came pouring into his mind, how he had kissed her and all that, does it mean it was not a dream? He was called back by what Megan said again which he looked at her confused.

"I said I will like to see you sometime again, where went you?" She asked.

"I'm sorry, I just..." He looked at his time "I must get back to Anna now, the movie will be starting soon."

"Oh okay, you still around?"

"Yea" he got up and picked up the popcorns. She got up too.

"Okay then, I will see you some other time" she said.

"Sure. Bye" he replied and walked away while she stared after him. Jason returned to Anna and she was angry with him, asking what took him so long.

"I bumped into an old friend" he remembered Megan said she doesn't like to see her again and so he avoided mentioning her because he didn't want to ruin her day.

They got into the theatre and found their seats. Anna enjoyed the cartoon but Jason can't even mention a name of a single character, his mind has been in thought of what Megan revealed to him and he found himself thinking about that afternoon three years ago all through the ninety minutes the movie lasted.

They got out and Anna pitied him and chose an action movie next but Jason spent the two hours thinking again. They saw four extra movies before deciding to call it a day. Jason was not in the mood for the club again and so Anna didn't mention it when he didn't, they stopped at a diner and had dinner before returning home.

"You go up and rest, I will just stay outside for some minutes" he told her when they got home and she nodded while he walked outside and stood in the porch with his mind racing. He had found it hard to believe that, that day was merely a dream but then when he thought about why Anna will let him kiss her, he will get confused.

Megan just confirmed that Anna knew about his breakup before hand and had ran in to meet him, so under must she came to his room but had they shared a moment? If yes then why would she let him? If no, then what will explain his swollen lips and the teeth marks on his nipple "ahh" he groaned, he feels like his head is going to burst with his thinking, is Anna in love with him too? The possibility of that being the reason is actually zero, but then why would she let him kiss her?

"Hey" he heard and turned to see Anna, she smiled and walked up to him, she stood beside him and heaved a sigh "what are you doing here alone?"

He let out a long sigh too and looked away from her "I have a lot in my mind" he confessed.

"Care to share?" She looked at him.

He looked at her too and wondered if he should just ask her the question, there is nothing wrong if he do right? It's just a question for crying out loud "no need to trouble yourself" he said in the end.

Anna looked away from him, no need to trouble myself? Yea right, I have a bigger problem too, she remembered she had promised herself to tell him of her feelings when next they meet and when is the perfect time to that but now? Their parents are not at home, even if he gets angry with her, at least before their parents comes back, he would have forgiven her, the problem now is, how will she start?

A deafening silent took place with both of them lost in their own thoughts. Jason found it hard to digest what he just learnt today, should he confront her? Heaven knows he will really love to be like that with her again but how sure is he she was in his room? He looked at her but she appeared to be lost in her thought, he took a deep breath and licked his lower lip, here goes nothing "Anna...I have been thinking" he bit his lip but he has already gotten her attention "that day, that I was drunk...that I broke up with Courtney" he looked at her "were...were you..." He swallowed "were you in my room?"

Anna's heart missed a beat, it basically shut down and restarted, she can say no she thought, but what better opening will she have than this? Heaven is really on her side by making him to ask this question, she closed her eyes and took a long breath, this is it, this is the moment, don't get scared now "yes."

Jason's eyes widened and his heart was thumping really loud in his chest, what does this mean? No, don't conclude yet Jason, she can just come into your room to check on you, ask the basic question, he told himself "did...did I...did we..." He couldn't get himself to finish.

"Yes" Anna said and looked at him "yes, you kissed me and I kissed you back" since she already admitted being in his room, why not just be truthful with everything?

Jason was shocked, he was looking at her fully now "why...did you let me?"

She sighed and closed her eyes "I could have stopped you, I knew you were drunk and didn't know what you were doing, I should have stopped you, but I didn't. In fact, I actually enjoyed it and wished it wouldn't end" she opened her eyes to look at him, he was looking at her, his heart was beating really fast, what is happening?

"I... Why?" He asked hoarsely.

Anna licked her lip "because I love you?" She looked deep into his eyes, why isn't he angry? She thought.

Jason's heart stopped and for some seconds he couldn't breathe, don't Jason, she is your sister, it's normal for her to love you, he screamed in his head.

Why isn't he reacting? She thought, maybe he thought she just love him as her brother? "Jason, I mean that I love you 'love you', more than a brother, I love you intimately" she gulped looking at him, not wanting to miss any reaction from him.

Jason felt like the world was spinning, he suddenly felt dizzy and had to shut his eyes to steady himself, she loves him, he can't believe she loves him "Anna...are you...serious?" He asked to be sure. Anna stood staring at him, this is not the reaction she pictured, and so said nothing again, maybe he needs time to react.

Jason finally got hold of himself as the bliss flushed into his heart, he revealed a surprise smile but couldn't stop himself from reaching out and caressing her face, this time with all the affection he could muster "will you be shocked if I say I love you too?" He asked with a sweet smile.

Anna froze when she heard that, what does he mean? She suddenly couldn't stand anymore and had to grab his hand for support, she looked up at him, his eyes were shining brighter than the night sky "What...what?"

"I love you Anna, much more than you love me" he confessed with a sweet smile. It was just like in her dreams, when he would agree to loving her too, wait is this real now or is it still a dream? This is too good to be true, she thought.

"I have started loving you since I was twelve" he revealed and she was shocked.

"And I you since I was thirteen, why didn't you tell me?" She asked.

Jason chuckled "but I did Anna, every single day, when I leave you in front of your class, when we talk on phone, when I say goodnight."

Anna thought about it, it's true, there is no day he doesn't tell her he love her, so he was actually confessing his true feelings then? "How was I supposed to know that's what you mean?" She accused.
