In front of Corey was a group of 12 people wearing plain black masks and long dark red robes that had crossed black axes as designs on various parts of their robes.

Currently these twelve people were currently looking at him but all Corey could see was his sister who was hung on the shoulders of one of the twelve in front of him.

Despite Corey's scream, there was no movement from her showing she was either dead or unconscious, but despite whether she was dead or unconscious, her condition was definitely not good.

Her face and body were bloodied and battered, in fact her dangling arm looked broken from afar and blood dripped from her lips, staining the already bloody and ruined ground.

As Corey observed his sister's condition, his emotions spiked and his breathing became hurried. Veins appeared on his forehead and his eyes, causing his eyes to become slightly red.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?

And from where did you come from?"

A voice filled with amusement reached into Corey's ears causing Corey to look away from his sister. His eyes landed on one of the figures that had a somewhat lean physique.

"Hmm? Haven't I seen you before?"

The figure mumbled as he rubbed his chin which was behind the plain black mask on his face.

Meanwhile Corey looked at the person who he assumed to be the leader of the group since he was standing in front of the group and none of the remaining eleven stood in front of the man, even the huge person holding his sister stood directly behind the man who spoke.

'Record'

He willed for Record to appear in his left pupil as he looked at the assumed leader, but… nothing changed.

'Shit.'

Corey cursed internally then he looked at the man carrying his sister.

'Record'

He willed for it to appear in his left pupil once again, but like before nothing changed.

'Fuck!'

His face changed and he cursed internally once again.

He looked at the remaining ten people and willed for Record to work on each and every one of them, but like his previous two attempts.

It didn't work.

But what it worked on, was his sister who was already tier 1, shocking him slightly but that did not matter right now since there was no way his sister who was tier 1, could defeat twelve tier 3 or higher beings.

Corey inhaled then exhaled heavily, trying to calm his emotions.

Was him been unable to control his emotions by shouting out loud a stupid mistake on his part?

For some, it might be yes.

For others, it might be no.

But right now, it didn't matter, cause what was done was done.

He was unable to control his emotions when he saw his sister unconscious and in an extremely terrible state.

Maybe if he was able to control his emotions he might have been able to formulate a plan on how to save his sister.

Maybe his plan might have worked out.

Maybe his plan wouldn't have worked out.

But like the previous conclusion, it didn't matter, what was done… was done.

The gears in his mind spun rapidly as he tried to think of a way to save his sister… even if he had to sacrifice himself for her to live.

"Ooh. I remember you."

The leader of the group in front of him spoke with a surprised expression causing Corey to look at him.

"Is she your Lover?... Best Friend?... Relative?... Sister?"

The leader spoke with a curious tone while rubbing his chin. He looked back and forth between Corey and Anna before his eyes shined between the mask.

"Ohhh. She's your sister.

Well this is certainly weird."

The leader chuckled and just as he did, something clicked in Corey's mind and he ignored the leader before him.

He brought out a palm sized vial which contained a green liquid and without hesitation, he opened the vial and poured it on the ancient spear.

Surprisingly, the green liquid did not fall off the ancient spear but was instead absorbed by it causing the ancient spear to emit a faint green light.

"Hmmm. Poison? What type of poison is that young man?"

The leader asked while tilting his head slightly, with intrigue clearly in his tone.

Corey just glanced at him for a second before his eyes moved towards the huge man or woman carrying his sister.

"Should I kill him Sir?"

The huge person spoke with a deep manly voice causing Corey to know that he was a man.

"Hmm. Yes, you can kill him Right Guardian. I don't need him. His sister is enough."

The leader spoke and the huge man nodded. He handed Anna to one of the ten who had not said a single word ever since Corey appeared.

Meanwhile Corey hearing the words of the leader gripped the ancient spear tighter and glanced at his sister for a second before his eyes moved to the huge man.

But when his eyes moved towards the huge man, what he saw was not the huge man but a huge fist almost the size of his head coming towards his head.

Before his eyes could comprehend what was happening.

Before his brain could comprehend what was happening.

BAM!

The huge fist slammed into his face, crushing lots of bones and causing his face to sink inside.

BOOM!

BANG!

Not only did the huge fist almost break the entirety of Corey's head, a huge force accompanied the fist, causing Corey to fly then tumble continuously for at least 40m before he slammed into a building, breaking it's walls and causing lots of large bricks, stones and sand to fall on Corey.

Corey laid on the floor motionlessly, his sunken and bloodied eyes were hazy, almost closing itself but no matter how much it wanted to close itself, to rest and relieve itself of the pain and intense shock he was going through, it refused to close.

"Huh."

Corey groaned and grunted a few seconds later and his face started to regenerate.

He panted heavily with something that had never appeared in his eyes before, extreme determination.

He refused to die.

He refused to close his eyes and sleep.

He refused to give up when his sister was still in the arms of those captives.

He would not give up until his sister was safe.

Although they were stronger than him and he definitely had no chance in defeating them, he would not rest until his sister was safe.

His parents were already dead and the fact that his sister was still alive was the only thing that was keeping him from breaking apart.

"Hmmm."

Around fifteen seconds passed and the injuries on his face and head healed to an acceptable level. He groaned as he tried to stand but the bones in his body were broken due to him tumbling continuously.

He actively healed the injuries all over his body to an acceptable level before he pushed away the rubbles of stones on top of him.

He picked up the ancient spear which he refused to drop even after the huge man sent him flying with a punch.

The spear was the only thing that would give him a slight chance in saving his sister and there was no way he was going to drop it unless he was dead.

After picking up the spear, he exhaled softly then ran to the direction of the group.

A few seconds later, he reached the location where he encountered the group and surprisingly they were still there, though they were all seated, seemingly waiting for somebody.

The group of twelve had surprised expressions seeing Corey, though Corey could not see it because of their masks but he could sense it due to the movement of their bodies.

"Huh? How come you're alive? And how come your injuries healed quickly?

Right Guardian, did you go easy on him?"

The leader asked with a surprised tone as he observed Corey from head to toe.

Meanwhile the Right Guardian who was the most shocked out of everybody trembled slightly hearing the words of the leader. He immediately knelt and spoke with slight fear in his tone.

"I dare not do that after you ordered me to kill him Sir."

"Hmm."

The leader hummed in response as he stroked his chin and observed Corey who was standing calmly a few meters away from them with a black spear in his two hands.

"Well, his regenerative ability is definitely high for a human. He probably got lucky. Anyway, make sure you kill him this time around."

With a nonchalant tone, the leader gave his order and the Right Guardian stood and walked towards Corey without saying a word.

Meanwhile Corey seeing the huge man walk towards him, gripped the ancient spear then exhaled softly.

Witha determined light in his eyes, he entered his focused state and got ready for a battle he had to win no matter what, a battle he could not lose, not only for the sake of his sister, but also for his sake.
