Liam kneeled in agony. Almost all part of his body have injuries and fresh blood is continiously pouring down from it. Some part of his light-blue lightweight jacket has been ripped and it the color was turned to crimson red because of the blood. His left shoulder is the most injured one. The sharp and pointed steel bar had pierced through the flesh inside it. Even a bit of his consciousness is whispering in his mind that "there would be no pain if you can just die right now."

"You are good at throwing..." Then the clown-masked guy said in a calm voice while walking slowly towards Liam.

"but that ain't gonna' work on me. I don't know how did my guy turned into this pitiful state but what I know is that... you will die by my hands, right now." After threatening Liam, He took out his dagger and then he poked Liam's c.h.e.s.t with it.

Liam looked up at the masked of the guy, then he smirked for some time and said, "Oh? So you're the boss of this guy. I beat him with only my skills. And also I will use it again, just to beat you. I mean I will use it again to kill you." Liam was furious after saying the last sentence of his. He tried to aggravate the clown-masked guy and it really worked... Greater than he expected.

The clown-masked guy was so pissed to the point of wanting to torment the kid in front of him but he don't have time for that.

'Skills eh? You're just good at annoying someone, you f*cker.'

After a minute of cursing Liam in his mind, He stretched his right arm backwards. After a while, He then moved his hand forward to stab Liam's c.h.e.s.t with his dagger and it was incredibly fast.

but then...

PSHLK!

His hand suddenly stopped or to be exact, the dagger has been stopped.

Liam stopped the dagger that would be piercing his c.h.e.s.t earlier by blocking it with his left hand. His c.h.e.s.t is not stabbed by the knife but his hand is.

The guy was filled with awe, never in his life had he thought that a random kid like this would be able to blocked his dagger and by a barehand too. He is one of the best 100 called the "Umbras" and he is known as the "Slasher" in their organization yet his quick hand has been blocked by a kid who wasn't even an exert nor does he look like one at all.

What the guy did not was that earlier, while he is being aggravated, Liam had already opened his system and invested all his stat points. He used four points to increase his Dexterity and for the rest of the points, he used it in Strength.

Liam's mind is in chaos because of the fact that everytime he loses a mass of blood he loses 3-5 HP but his chaotic mind came to an abrupt stop and then he realized something.

'Why am I panicking!? I'll die even if I don't have the system.' Liam kept thinking that it's no use panicking about losing an HP because he have a good skill... a really good skill to be used.

"Keuk!!" Liam cried in pain because his shoulder suddenly twitched. It seems like it was a small ache but it was not at all. The steel bar is still inside his shoulder.

'Haa. This shit is f*ckin' painful as hell!'

Liam blocked it with his left hand with a great force and as soon as the guy was stunned by what he had done, he punched the guy's arm and then he pulled the dagger that had pierced his hand.

"Urk!" Liam and the guy both cried in pain.

Liam activated Accurate Throw, then he threw the dagger towards the light switch.

*FLICK*

"Stealth."

The lights in the living room has been turned off and the only light that can be seen is from the staircase but it was still murky.

"That kid, he... " The clown-masked guy is muttering while he aimlessly turning his head around to find the kid he is trying to kill earlier. "...He became faster. And much stronger than earlier."

*CHINK*

A sound of a steel bar that fell to the ground can be heard from behind the guy so he turned around to look but he saw nothing.

*Swish*

He turned around again when he heard the ripple in the wind behind him and then he saw a fist approaching his face. He dodged it by a hair's breadth, then he threw a roundhouse kick in the direction of where the fist came from but he only hit the air.

*PWHACK!*

Liam kicked him at his side from behind the guy then he turned around to punch him but Liam stealthily did a side step to get away from the guy.

*Swish*

"Urk!" Once again the guy has been hit by Liam with a punch in his face.

The skill Stealth that Liam got is truly OP. When the user is in a dark place he or she can be just like a shadow, who has no sounds can be heard and no body can be seen. The skill let the movements of the user be swift and sneaky so no other person can quickly react to the attack of the user unless that person is not panicky or that person is clever.

'I think the skill had greatly decreased the of every moves that I make. Then the best way to attack him is from behind!'

As soon as Liam thought of a plan, he immediately made his move towards the guy.

A series of hit and run is being done by Liam countless of times up until now.

The guy is coughing a mouthful of blood right now but he still didn't let his guard down because of the kid that used to be at the brink of death earlier is now toying him like a child. Even with his guard on he was still getting hit by Liam though. He is puzzled because the kid is injured, a very serious one at that yet he still can move easily and fight him. He and his other two companions build their reputation by not using guns because they are good in a hand to hand but now that he is being beaten by a kid in his owm expertise what would the people say to them.

Liam is just waiting for the guy to be exhausted. He planned that before he knock him down unconscious, he would ask what do their organization wants to do with his friend and after that he can just wait for the police that Ian called arrives. Then the idea of getting a strong skill from the guy he's fighting right now came to his mind turning his seriousness into an excitement... and that was a really bad thing to do.

'I just need the best chance and this guy will definitely be taken down by me.'

The guy is more pissed than earlier and he can't swallow the fact that he was being played around by a random kid and that his time is being wasted by him. He was pique and enraged but even so he still managed to read Liam's movement in the darkness. After sometime he thought of a really good plan to changed his bad situation.

Liam got behind the guy's back sneakily thinking that he was in an advantageous position, then he threw a kicked at him but suddenly the guy turned around like he know where Liam is.

Unfortunately, Before his foot even hit the guy's back it was has already been caught by him.

Liam's foot has been hit.

"Wraaagh!" Liam screamed in pain as his foot got hit by the guy's elbow containing a great force in it. He tried to jumped away but his jacked has been grabbed by the guy and then.

"Urk!" Liam's stomach is aching after being hit once by the guy's fist just now.

'S-shit! This pain... even with the Firmness. I should've increased my Endurance earlier. F*ck!'

The truth about the Firmness skill is that, it does reduce the decreasing of HP when taking a damaged but it does not reduce the damage taken on the phsyical body making the user still feels the pain.

That explains the pain Liam felt on his stomach and that is also why he does not use his left arm to attack the guy because... he cannot use it at all. His left shoulder is still greatly injured and his left hand is stabbed, making his right arm be crippled. Still, like a warrior, he is fighting a guy without holding back because he don't want his friend to be hurt... like what happened to his family five years ago.

The guy threw another punch towards Liam's face but he evaded it and he is gone once again.

"You damn kid! I'm tired playing hide and seek!" The guy is irritated and shouted to Liam somewhere in the living room.

Liam recalled the memories five years ago after hearing the words of the guy he is fighting have said.

'What if. Their organization...'

Liam hid somewhere in the living room while thinking of something dangerous.

Liam made a plan on the spot and will be doing it right now. He got up from his spot and stealthily walking towards the light switch.

The light has been turned on.

The guy was surprised. He glance at the lightswitch but what he saw in the direction is a leather chair flying towards him. He step a few times back and he managed to dodge it but as the chair fell on the floor, there was a guy jumping straight to him...and of course, it was Liam doing an ambush.

The guy crossed his arms to block whatever that is striking him sooner but what he did not expect is...

It was the dagger he used to hold earlier that had striked him. His arms was slashed by it and blood is continuously pouring down from the injury he took. He then put his arms down but then again the dagger is moving towards him. He can't dodge it completely. He closed his eyes reflexively and then...

PWHOOK!

The guy opened his eyes after a while.

' Hmm? No injuries. Did I dodged it? I think not. '

He had no injuries but his hoodie has been cutted and ripped. He had no idea why this kid didn't hit him in his vital spots or is he just a stupid kid letting the chance go away.

The hoodie was teared and the neck can be seen right now.

Liam glanced at the guy's neck and saw a tattoo.

Liam's heartbeat is getting faster and feels heavier after seeing the tattoo. He was quivering.

''D-DS. I-its the same as the g-guys... five years ago." Liam's mouth is shaking while mumbling.

"D-dark society."

"Oh? You know something about my tattoo eh? Or you know something about our DARK SOCIETY." The guy said as he took off his mask, then the corner of his lip arched upward and his eyes squinted while looking at Liam.With a narrow and shady eyes, a curved eyebrows and a thin lips his face is creepy.

The guy's expression turned serious. He don't know why this kid became stunned but he took that chance and ran towards Liam while he is frozen stiff.

Liam is still trembling greatly. In the blink of an eye he recalled the memories of the guys that killed his family over and over again. He remembered how they did it and every details that come from the guys wether it was small or big thanks to the skill Hyperthymesia that he got.

Liam is breathing more heavily. Once again, he was filled with sorrow and vengefulness. It was a very long time since his mind became calm after the storm and now his chaoticness is coming back again. His regretted the time that he did not do anything to revenge his family for years but it soon disappeared as time passed. But now that one of the causes of his vengefulness is in front of him what can or what will he do. Truckful of thoughts is circling around his mind. Blood is slowly pouring down from his nose. He can't think properly nor can he move in his position.

The guy stopped in front of Liam with a distance over 2 feet. He is holding the steel bar that he once used and he will used it again to stabbed the kid . He moved his h.i.p.s slightly to his side and stretched his hand backwards. He is preparing to stabbed Liam's c.h.e.s.t with his full force.

The steel bar is moving fast torwards Liam's c.h.e.s.t.

There is only 2 inch of distance and 1 second of time before the steel bar will pierced his c.h.e.s.t but then...
