Slayer Of Babylon

Chapter 29 - Last day on Runetera

After Eric told Shyvana that he came from another world, and he had a fiancé there. She surprised but believed him, but after he said he probably couldn't get his world with her, she was broken.

After serious coaxing, she turned lively a little but having a thought that his family will leave her 'again' hit her hard. So, Currently, she was giving Eric a hard, bone-crushing hug as she was crying on his c.h.e.s.t.

A serious amount of time later, she moved his head from Eric's c.h.e.s.t. She looked at him with her bright, golden eyes. 'Promise me!" she cried aloud. "Promise me this!" she was yelling at Eric while hugging him more tightly.

'My body can't take more pressure,' Eric thought. He was hardly breathing. 'Tho, I deserve this,' he thought as he looked at Shyvana. "P-promise yo... -u what?" He said while trying to make his voice as soft as possible, but the crushing hug made it hoarse.

"If," she said as she released her grip a little. "If there is a way, we go together," she added with a hoarse voice. Her yellow eyes were blurring. "I-I do not want to lose another family," she said as she buried her head to Eric's c.h.e.s.t again.

She released her strong grip, so Eric could breathe normally. "That's a given," he said softly. That time his voice was soft thanks to the Shyvana's less tight grip.

Shyvana looked at him seriously. 'PROMISE,' that was her message. Eric looked at her golden eyes with a confusing look. "Ugh... Did I say something wrong?" he asked.

"All the thing you have said is wrong!" she yelled at him. Her eyes narrowed, and she put more force to her grip again. "But, you have a family," she said again, but that time her voice was soft. "I can't separate you from Irene," she continued. 'I know the pain of losing the person you love the most after all,' she thought. "But, if you... if you will leave me why did you treat me like your family you asshole!"

"I am sorry," he said with a sad smile. "I promise you that I will mak-," he cut himself because he remembered Shyvana said, Irene. "Wait, how did you know her name is Irene? I didn't tell you that," Eric said suddenly. 'Does Shyvana has some mind-reading ability? No, there was none in the game,' he thought.

"You said her name while you were murmuring in your sleep this morning," Shyvana said. "I was wondering who she was, but it's clear now," she said with a sad smile.

"Ahahah," Eric made an awkward laugh as he stretched his head. 'What should I say in this situation,' he thought.

"Now, just shut up," she said sadly. "I want to enjoy my selected minutes with you," she said as she fell asleep on his c.h.e.s.t.

Eric sighed at the Sleeping hybrid dragon on his c.h.e.s.t. 'I am shit,' he thought as he carried Shyvana to this bed. "Night, Shy," she murmured and lay on the sofa.

"Let's hope that damn owl helps us," he murmured before fell asleep.

Next Day~

Knock! Knock!

"*yawn* is it time already?" Eric sighed. "Dang it! I slept a lot, I feel like shit," he murmured as he sat on the sofa.

He looked at Shyvana who had woken up as soon as the door knocked.

"Yes?" said Eric with a yawn. 'Note: Don't sleep too much,' he noted to his mind.

"General Garen has arrived," said a soldier with a cold voice

"Oh? Well, why are we waiting for?" he asked with a smirk as he stood up. He looked at Shyvana with a glance and asked. "Wanna come?"

Shyvana looked at him with a sad smile. "Sure," she said with a low voice. "Let's go," she said as she stood up.

Eric sighed. Things clearly got awkward.

"Alright, then."

Eric and Shyvana went to the training grounds with the soldier.

He looked at the soldiers who were giving him deadly glares.

"Scary," he said sarcastically, but loud enough to hear all of them.

"It is," said a sudden voice. Eric looked at the source and saw the mummy king again. He was in front of a massive man. "Aren't you tough one, king-sama?" Eric said with a smug grin.

"Sama?" wondered Jarvan. "Is it a new form of mockery?" he said with a serious voice.

"Peh," Eric rolled his eyes. "Sorry, old habits," he said with a shrug. "Now, when are we finish this idiocy," he said with a yawn. Jarvan looked offended, but Garen had no facial expression. "Sorry, sleep too much. Do not worry, I am good to go," said Eric. His sound was self-confident with a little mockery.

"Go to the arena," said Jarvan while pointing a certain arena.

Garen and Eric went the separate part of the arena. Eric sheathed his sword and made a relaxing pose. He seemed unguard.

While Garen was on guard with his long sword. "You seem to not like Demacia," he said. His tone was lack of emotion.

"Oh, so you can understand what you see?" Eric said sarcastically, then his tone turned serious. "Alright, let me serious this once. I hate you, your king and your stupid philosophy," Eric said with a cold tone. "How many people did you end, tortured, exiled or imprisoned so far? Just because they were mages?" he added. His tone was pure cold as nearby soldiers could see the hatred in Eric's tone.

"Magic means destruction! It almost destroyed Runetera, and it will again if we do not stop it!" yelled Jarvan from the lines.

"The only thing that destroys the world is people's greed," said Eric with a frown. "While you idiots clearly kill every mage possible, another mage trying to hide the runes to prevent another war," said Eric with a shrug.

Suddenly Eric's voice turned amusing. "I clearly do not understand you idiots at all, really," he said with a chuckle. "But, I had enough, so lemme made an announcement," Eric said as sudden gravity fell on every person except Shyvana.

"SURPRIZE!" yelled Eric with an amusing grin while looking at Jarvan who kneeled to the ground. "I was the one who healed you, a mage," said Eric. "Your demacians' king's lineage has a dept for a mage," he continued with a sinister smile. "How does it feel, eh? to be saved from a mage, the king of demacia?" asked Eric as he made a glance Garen who was struggling to stand up.

'I hoped the trial would be easy, but people here are weak,' Eric thought. 'Is it about the laws mentioned in those Chinese novels, I wonder?' he added with a thinking pose. 'Tho, that dragon and Shy are strong... Well, whatever,' he made it a shrug again as he started walking towards Garen.

He kneeled near Garen as he lowered his head to Garen's ear level.

"You know what is the funniest thing?" he whispered. "Your sister is a mage, and you know this, yet you didn't imprison her. Woah! You don't even care the families you broke apart for their child, dad, mom, uncle, etc. is a mage, yet you couldn't do it for your lil' sister?" he added sarcastically. "What a f.u.c.k.i.n.g hypocrite you are, really."

He released his gravity as he stood in the center of the arena. Soldiers tried to stand up, but their legs were out of power.

Meanwhile, Garen was shocked. 'How?' he thought. 'How did he know?' he looked at him with a furry to answer.

"What? Do I know a little too much, little hypocrite?" Eric said sarcastically. He was looking directly Garen's storming eyes, then he felt a threat.

A flag almost hit him if he dashed backward. 'The f.u.c.k?' he thought. "Aren't you forcing yourself? Your wounds yet to be healed," said Eric with a grin.

"I do not need your pity, mage!" yelled Jarvan. "Demacia's law comes today for years. We made them after the rune wars, and we will not yield!" he yelled as the soldiers started to yell with him as well.

"Yey, Demacia!! Yeeee!" Eric supported them sarcastically as a messenger came to the area.

"My king," the messenger said with a hurried tone.

"We are dealing with a very strong mage here, can't it wait?" said Jarvan. His eyes were locked Eric like a hawk who saw its prey.

"I can wait," Eric said innocently. He took his sword to its scabbard. Shyvana looked at him with a 'just get this over with' face as she sighed.

Jarvan narrowed his eyes, and he was about to attack, but the messenger cut him.

"Dragon is coming!" he yelled.

"It destroyed its way towards here, and it's coming directly here as if this place is its target," he yelled.

"What?" Jarvan said as he looked at Shyvana. 'Because of her?' he thought.

Meanwhile, Shyvava's eyes wide opened. She looked at Eric worriedly. She knew he is going to end her, but either way, are sad for him. If Eric wins, she lost her or if he lost, he'll die.

She immediately shooked her head. 'No, he will not die!' she yelled inside. 'He helped me so far, now it's my time!' she thought as her golden eyes narrowed with rage.

'Control it. More anger equals more power if you do not lose your mind with your rage,' she thought as she took a deep breath. 'I will make you pay, dragon,' she sneered.

While Shyvava was deep in thoughts, Eric had an amusing smile on his face. "Oh, this place gonna be a mess," Eric yelled. "I will run if I were you," he added as he started walking towards the exit.

"Where are you going?" demanded Jarvan with an angry tone. 'I will not let you escape,' he thought.

"To protect your pitiful soldier, we are going outside. If you want to fight me and risk your soldiers to a potential ancient dragon, you are free to try," Eric said with an innocent smile. "I am really sick of your shit, anyway," he added. 'Tho, I was the one who started it suddenly. Well, whatever,' he shrugged and walked away with bewildered Shyvana.

(sorry, I guess my hatred for Demacia might've corrupted Eric as well :/ )

░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░

Eric immediately put some distance with Demacia Outpost. He was at some part of the map, which was clearly the opposite direction of Demacia.

While he was waiting for the dragon, he remembered the bet. "Oh, damn. I forgot about the bet. I almost had an anti-magical material for free if I was a little calm about Demacia," he huffed. "I guess, it's too late to cry about it," he added with a disappointed chuckle.

"You are about to engage with an ancient dragon, and you are thinking this?" asked Shyvana angrily. "You might die, you idiot!" he added with the same rage.

"Shy, control your furry. Do not let it consume you," Eric said back with a soft smile, then his face turned a serious one. "I know I will face 'her,'" he said seriously. "And, trust me. We will end her," he added with the same seriousness.

Then his face turned the same playful one again. "Just to remind you, I might try something new," he said.

"What new?" she asked as soon as Eric finished his sentence. She was dead serious. She was not going to let Eric or anyone else die by 'her' hands.

"We-" he said as he turned his head to the certain killing intent. "Woah, she is angry indeed," Eric said with a smile.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. His expression turned serious and sudden red gates opened. "You might want to change Dragon, Shy," Eric said with a stern voice. 'Tho, I want to talk with her first,' he thought as Shyvana turned her dragon form.

Yvaa flew towards and rotate above them. She glanced Shyvana before looked at Eric with pure wrath. If looks could kill, Eric would die countless times already. He eventually made a huge roar that can deafen a person and landed.

When Eric saw he landed he sighed. 'Here goes nothing,' he thought.

"Wait!" He yelled as he dropped his swords as his red gates closed. Shyvana looked confused as Yvva narrowed her angry eyes.

"What?" she said with a bone-chilling voice.

"I want to talk with you," Eric said with a monotone voice.

Yvva looked at him for a while but suddenly threw a huge fireball. She didn't speak or made a sight to do that. She tried to kill Eric as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Eric's response was jumping to Shyvana's shoulder. "Well, you can't say I didn't try," he huffed as he looked her angry eyes.

"Shy, remember I told you I have to test something new?" Eric said with excitement. He was looking forward to doing that since he got his full Susanoo.

He put his hands to the air, then his zampaktous which were on the ground appeared in his grips. He smirked a little and yelled. "Protect their core with your might, Indra."

As soon as those words fell down, Eric's Susanoo's shaped shifted. It's changed to a red armor that surrounded Shyvava's entire dragon body.

"As much as I want to fight with her, it's your fight," Eric said suddenly. "If the things turned out bad, I help you tho," he added with a reassuring smile.

Yvaa looked at her daughter's new form. She was a proud fire dragon like her daughter, so she knew fire attacks had a little effect on her, but she couldn't run. She would have her daughter no matter what.

Meanwhile, Shyvava looked confused. Her entire body was covered by blood-red aura. She could feel that her fighting capacity still the same, but her defense improved dramatically, and since her mother's fire attacks were almost ineffective against her, they have to fight with their claws.

Yvva and Shyvana looked at each other for 5 minutes. They measured themselves. Shyvana's furry was under control for a while, but he couldn't wait anymore as she dashed over her mother with full speed.

She tried to punch Yvva, but Yvva who clearly had more experience and power caught it with her b.a.r.e hands, and pull Shyvana to herself. She punched her guts with her full power and made her bounced back. She rolled on the ground, but immediately regain her pose, yet it was too late.

A little opening between her rolls was enough for her mother as she flew above her and suddenly flew downward full speed. She crushed her daughter and made a huge crater on the ground.

"I am pretty sure, my daughter can deal with heat. But can you, human?" she said her second words on that day. Her voice was as cold as ice. She put her right hand on Shyvana's head and sat on her back as her legs were on Shyvana's wings, prevent them to rise.

She took the deepest breath for her entire life. A huge golden light could be seen on her brown belly while she was doing that, then she breath her most powerful fire attack with her pure hatred.

The heat was enormous. Fortunately, Eric used runes to prevent heat to affect him, but it was hot. Much hotter then he expected.

The entire crater melted with the attack that turned some part of ground lava. Threes nearby turned ashes while the further ones blazed.

Eric was now sweating. 'I guess, I underestimated her,' he thought as he appeared sudden 8 swords on the air. They were glowing golden and either of them as tall as the dragon's arm.

Yvva's eyes widened with a shock, but she suddenly felt herself on the ground. Shyvana took the opening for her advantage and used her hand to flip her with a sudden, powerful force.

She laid on her mother and grabbed her right-wing with her two hands. It was swift and fast but had a certain amount of force with it. She added the power of momentum's and with her foot on her mother's belly, she tore her right-wing.

Yvva made a painful shriek and spoke. "Why?" she yelled. "Why are you helping humans? You are a dragon, child!" she yelled with her full force.

Shyvana split blood to the ground. Even with Susanoo's armor, she got injured. If Eric was not with her, she would have been defeated. That was a given.

Then, she heard her birth mother's plea. She remembered the times of her sad, lonely childhood. She frowned a little, but then he remembered her father or foster father to be exact. He remembered how he saw him different than others. He loved her like she was his own blood, but she brought death upon him. He might've stolen her, but someone like her doesn't like either side of the world. Either dragons or humans.

"Mother," she said for the first and last time with a solemn expression. "I am sorry, you might be right on this, but this doesn't give you the right to destroy or kill the people, and you certainly killed a lot," she said with stern a stone.

"They were mortals! You will leave thousands maybe millions of years, but they not! We are also predators! We need to soothe our hunger, and I am sure you already knew what I meant," she yelled while looking at her golden eyes stubbornly. "Don't be fooled by your human side and come with me," she added with a stern expression.

Shyvava understood what she meant. She was feeling sudden pangs of hunger once for a while. She was holding herself to not show her beast side to humans except Eric who accepted her how she was.

She remembered the time Eric saw her eating a lump of raw beast meat sneakily. She was impressed he was able to come near him without she heard him, but then she remembered the situation she was in.

Eric laughed at her expression and told her that he had no problem with it. He was able to understand why she was doing that, so he just smiled and took a meat slice as he started to cook it.

It was a funny memory which was going to be one of the only after Eric left her, but now, she knew there might be humans that can accept her.

She sighed mentally, but a sudden sense of furry hit her. The dragon in front of her was her miseries fault. Her father is dead because of her, now Eric would leave after she killed her.

She sighed again. She was sad, angry and felt betrayed.

'Let's hope there is someone else who treats me well,' she thought as she looked at her mother.

"I am sorry," she said. "But I guess I am more likely a human," she added and pierced her mother's right c.h.e.s.t. She took her hearth and pulled it out.

"As much as I want to give you a fast dead, you are responsible for thousands of people and families death," she said with a cold tone. "But, most importantly, you killed the most important person in my life, so you will suffer," she added.

Yvva shuttered while trying to look strong. "Y-you-," she couldn't finish her sentence as sudden blood spread from her mouth.

"Don't you want me to be a beast, a dragon?" asked Shyvana. "So here I am with all my anger," she said with ice chilling voice as she walked away. She did not turn her head to her dying mother.

When they walked enough distance, she transformed her human form. She looked at Eric with watery eyes.

When Eric about to say something the whole world stopped moving.

'Ah, right on time...' Eric huffed, then a screen opened.

[Chrono's Trial - Wings of Furry = √]

[the First gift Received: Dragon Slayer Sword Balmung]

'Balmung? Siegfried?' Eric thought. "I wish I watch or play Fate series more,' she added with a sigh.

[Due to Player's effect on the Certain person in Runetera, the Player's second gift might be changed. Do you want to accept it?]

"NO WAY!" Eric yelled. 'Did that owl really accept my plea at that time?' he thought and accept it. 'I hope I am right,' he mentally sighed.

When he accepted, he teleported to a throne room. An owl was sitting on the throne as it used to be.

"Yo~," said the owl. "I heard you want to bring that girl?" he added with a smug grin.

"Yes, please," Eric said respectfully. He might not like him at first, but that time he was doing a very good thing for Eric.

"A pity I can't do that~," Owl said suddenly that made Eric angry.

"What!?" Eric yelled. "You stupid owl, why did you bring me here anyways?" he hissed to Owl.

The Owl looked at him with his big eyes. "Oh, interesting," he said as a sudden force made Eric kneel. "Let me clear one thing Eric~," said Owl playfully. "You are my bitch. I can change your or your loved ones' fate at will~" he added.

Eric looked at him with angry eyes, but the owl did not care. "It's a pity, you made me sad now, so you will not receive your second gift~," he said and disappeared.

Eric mentally cursed Owl, then a sudden vortex s.u.c.k.e.d him to the Chrono's dimension.

He landed on his b.u.t.t. 'That damn Owl!' he yelled in his mind as he saw a letter that had an owl feather on it.

Eric sneered but took the letter. He threw the feather somewhere and started to read the message.

'Dear Eric~

I was just kidding with you~ You can have her as your second gift~

With love~ Your favorite god, DaoistOwl~'

As soon as He read the message he s.u.c.k.e.d by vortex again. He found himself on the ruin's entrance with Shyvana was on his back, unconsciousness. He was piggy riding her.

"Oh, did you give up?" said a male monstrous voice.

"Hmm? Who is, no what is she?" he said again, but this time his voice was serious.

Eric saw Igneel was still the same spot as he left him. He mentally sighed. "Damn you lazy. I was not here for one month and you are still sleeping here," he said amusingly.

"What are you talking about? You were inside of ruin for maximum thirty minutes," Igneel said with an 'are-you-stupid' look.

"..."

"Eh?!"
