Snow Elf's Path

Chapter 2 - Olaf One-Eye

Giving out a small smile, she replies with, "My name is Alena. You're currently in Whiterun. I own the Bannered Mare inn. Meaning you are safe here." Aiming to assure him that he is safe, furthermore. She filled him in with more detail topped with a little self praise. "If i was able to lift and carry your body here without the Guards seeing me, we have nothing else to worry about."

No doubt impressed of her skills. He smiled back and proceeded to show gratitude. Gratitude, but he was still worried. Not about himself though. "Alena. Thank you for saving my life. But i can't stay here forever. It will only get you executed." Said Arlond with very clear concern on his tone. He has seen enough slaughter as a 25 year old. He doesn't need to see more at all. Especially on a 23 year old like Alena. Putting himself at risk isn't a big deal for him. He grew up taking necessary risks. But he can't risk a life of someone who helped him even after considering possible death penalty. No his heart can't allow it to happen.

Being touched by his concern, she assured herself that she didn't make a mistake when he saved his life. She returned gratitude with gratitude. Now she wanted to help him even more. "You are safe here and so am i. Besides, The Guards are mostly gathering around up on the so called "Dragonsreach" these days. That's how it wasn't such a task to carry you here." Giving up a playful wink before she said, "You are light as well." Made Arlond a little bit shy. Even though Alena's goal was just to mess with him a little bit. But It ended up making Arlond's face go red. Or so to say. I mean his skin is snow white(literally).

Not to forget that Alena is no doubt stunningly beautiful. Blonde long hair reaching to the end of her spine and her skin glowing as if moonlight was shining on her, concentrating all it's light on her. Blue eyes that would give any man or woman goosebumps. She wasn't overweight or underweight either. But apart from all that, she isn't short sighted like the other Nords. Such characteristics also helped to make him red. It was adorable to see.

Arlong awkwardly coughed hoping this embarrassment will soon go away and proceeded to ask, "What's there to see in Dragonsreach?"

"The name says it all." She replied as she took the empty bottle which contained the healing potion before and tossed it towards a basket without looking at it. Thankfully, it went right in the basket. "A  Dragon." She said feeling c.o.c.ky after she saw how Arlond was amazed by that toss.

"Olaf One-Eye claims to have captured an actual Dragon called Numinex. And there are many Guards gathered on the scene. Claiming to Guard the Dragon so it doesn't escape. But in reality they are just curing their curiosity." I mean who wouldn't? You just don't see a Dragon in a daily basis on these times.

"I doubt that Dragons actually existed Alena. And if they did, no Nord can capture such a big Dragon alone."

"Really?" She asked trying to provoke him, but it just made him a little bit nervous. Because her smile seemed too, c.o.c.ky.

Swallowing his spit in nervousness. He replied with, "Um... yes. At least, I won't believe anything like that unless I see it with my own eyes." Said Arlond hoping to assure Alena that this tale is a myth. But she seemed to determined with her claims. As if she saw the Dragon herself.

"Dragons were defeated before people even started recording history." Her face suddenly became serious for a second. But it returned to her usual c.o.c.ky happy mood right after. It just send Arlond through an emotional rollercoaster. "For sure there aren't many reliable sources that provide accurate information about the Dragon and or Dragons. But there is this poem."

"What Poem?"asked Aaron in confusion. He never heard much about Dragons. It didn't really come up in camps.

All of a sudden, she started singing the poem. It instantly gave Arlond goosebumps. "Dragonborn Dragonborn.

By his honor is sworn,

To keep evil forever at bay

And the fiercest foes rout.

When they hear triumph's shout

Dragonborn for hunger blessing we pray.

And the scrolls have foretold

Of black wings in the cold

That when brothers wage war come unfurled

Alduin, bane of kings

Ancient shadow unbound

With a hunger to swallow the world."

Alena sung the poem with a voice so delicate and beautiful that it gave Arlond goosebumps all over his body, and those goosebumps remained on him even after she stopped singing.

"Your voice…" He murmured seeing at Alena in shock.

"I know. I can sing very well. But it proves my point. Dragons no doubt existed." Stroking her Chin, trying to think about this topic deeper. She said, "I wonder if it can be of help if we free it. The Dragon is still alive. Only captured."

"If that Dragon managed to survive before history was even recorded up to this point, he is no doubt powerful. There must be more to this capture. A simple Nord can't man handle a large freaking Dragon." Although a bit racist, he did have a strong point. You can't just capture a Dragon alive.

Getting a closer look at Arlond's face, she came up with an idea. "I bet I can sneak you in Dragonsreach if you cover your head with a big hood. We can both have a closer look."

"I don't think that they will look kindly on a stranger though. This is too risky."

"As long as you walk with me, the Nordic Guards won't give you trouble."

"Then let's g...ohhh oh that hurts. That definitely hurts." Arlond tried to stand up in a rush to prove his enthusiasm but seemed to have forgotten about his injuries. I wonder why.

"Sounds like you need a stronger healing potion. I mean i did pull an arrow out of you earlier." Explained Alena in a gentle tone, after slapping her own forehead when she realized how much she underestimated the injuries.

"No civilians are allowed on Dragonsreach before Olaf One-Eye says otherwise miss Alena." Cleared out one Guard the command he was given by Olaf himself. Stating the clear intend and orders of Olaf.

Knowing the language these Guards know best, she gave a seductive smile and replied with. "Well i have fresh beer. They are free. I want to congratulate the legendary Olaf One-Eye for capturing an actual Dragon."

"I..."

"I have a whole cart of beer here.

It was so troublesome getting it up this hill with my assistant here." With a seductive but yet victim like tone, she was already twirling these Guards on her finger.

"I see Miss but i can't go against Olaf's Orders." Even though he wanted to get on her good side due to obvious reasons(and free beer), fearing to break Olaf One-Eye's orders were greater than p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e on the job.

"I'm sure Olaf wouldn't want me to go all the way down, tiring my entire body carrying this beer for nothing. You wouldn't want it either." Replied Alena with a gentle tempting tone which made the Guard no doubt sweat even though the weather was cold. It is Skyrim after all. He felt goosebumps on himself.

"Alright, but if you cause trouble, your neck will meet the end of my LongSword. Now goo." He replied as he grabbed a couple of beers. One for himself and one for his Guard buddy.

"I'm Glad we reached an understanding. Next time your beer will be on the house in the Bannered Mare." She smiled as she walked away from them and aimed to enter Dragonsreach.

"You!" Yelled the Guard they negotiated with after Alena and Arlond passed the Guards.

"Yes. Sir Guard?" Gently replied Arlond when he noticed that a finger was pointed at him.

"Alena is tired carrying that whole cart. The path isn't uphill now. Let miss Alena rest and carry it on your own." With his voice becoming thicker, he added a few final words. You are a man after all."

"I most certainly agree." Gave out Alena a dominant feeling smile. Knowing well that it annoyed Arlond a lot. "Assistant! Carry this cart for me. A Woman can't be seen sweating like a wild boar in front of all these construction workers." Yelled Aula. But of course she was just acting her way out. She is no doubt a hard working Woman that would get dirty instead of using her Gender to get away from tougher work.

"It is I, Olaf who captured this Dragon. By my name, this Dragon should die in front of my feet." Cheers were to be heard as Olaf yelled his sentence. As everyone glanced on the Dragon who was clearly captured. With a Wooden structure much like those used to hold the head and hands of a human, holding Numinex down, it explains how one Nord captured such Dragon. They simply lured him here and trapped him with this large wooden structure.

Arlond was stunned, amazed, but yet sad. Olaf had the nerve to plan of killing a Dragon who was captured and couldn't fight back. The only attack the Dragon could possibly launch was to blast fire from its mouth and risk 30 Swords reaching its neck.

"You aren't to kill this Dragon."
