Sona, A Goddess Queen In A Modern World.

Chapter 14 - 14 - Omphalophobia

"Hello Angela, you've finally arrived! I was worried you wouldn't come." Jeff said with a smile on his face.

Sona answered gracefully. "Hello Jeff, if I said I would come, I certainly would. That's my mother, Madison." She pointed to her mother who was next door.

Jef, even though he was an old man, he was still a man. When he saw the beautiful blue-haired woman next to the girl, his heart accelerated a few bpm, but he quickly took that idea out of his head. "Look, lady, my name is Jeff." He said the last part in a tone a little low and nervous.

Seeing the strange tone that he said his name, Madison let out a little laughter that delighted the people around him. "Hello Jeff, my name is Madison." She said with a small smile, but quickly the lovely look she had on her face was replaced by a serious look. "Now talking about business, my daughter told me you'd stay by organizing a schedule for her, have you decided that?"

Jeff seeing how serious she was, also became serious and answered. "It was hard to choose a good time to fit her in, she is very good and wants to perform for very little time, I was afraid to put her as the last one, but I don't want anyone to leave before seeing her perform, I couldn't put her in the beginning either, or the following bands would lose their grace." He said with a face down. "Finally, the best time I could put it in was before the main attraction, the band GeekGadGets. I believe that because they already have a well-established fan base in this area, people will hear it without any problems."

When Madison heard that, she understood Jeff's points. Angela didn't have a fan yet, so people wouldn't stay to hear her play. "All right, I think you made a good choice." She said keeping her face professional.

Sona as always, was keeping a calm and peaceful face. As if these trivial things couldn't influence her.

Sona hadn't stopped to see any performances yet, so while Madison and Jeff were discussing some professional stuff, she started paying attention to stage as the first band would start performing now.

The first band consisted of 4 people, a bassist, a guitarist and singer, a drummer and to finish a keyboardist who also did the choir. Everyone seemed to be Angela's age, young boys with a strong d.e.s.i.r.e to prove themselves by becoming rock stars.

Sona could feel their passion for music from the aura they emitted, but she knew that their passion wasn't that big, any small challenge they encountered would make the band fragment and each one would pursue a different career.

As their passion for music, the music they played was mediocre. Sona, who was used to hearing her students play, which she already considered to be a bit bad, felt that she was only hearing a lot of noises from these people playing. If only they could convey some feeling in the music, but no, they were just following a cipher like robots.

Sona, disappointed, stopped paying attention to the musicians and started paying attention to the audience. These people seemed to be enjoying the music a bit. Only half a dozen people were excited about the band, the rest were indifferent, but not disgusted. This surprised the Goddess of Music a bit, since for her this song was so bad that she couldn't stand to hear anymore, and for these mortals it wasn't so bad. 'Maybe our parameters are too different, maybe I can raise the bar for people tonight. She thought excitedly as she felt Etwahl get excited also inside her box.

While Sona was paying attention to the audience, she suddenly felt a bad feeling coming from somewhere and she quickly found it. Some men were looking at her mother with disgusting eyes on her already red face from drunkenness.

Sona was very s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e to the feeling that the people around her had. As a goddess of music, feeling and being able to transmit feelings was something she had to practice a lot to achieve.

"These mortals don't get tired of playing with the wrong people. She thought as she turned her eyes.

Without anyone noticing, she took Etwahl from inside the box she was carrying and asked him to open something she forgot he had. Tripods, as she always wore it floating, since it was much more practical, Sona used Etwahl's tripods only once in her life, now that she remembered that he had tripods, it became easier for her to disguise them so that mortals wouldn't be surprised.

Sona calmly began to strum Etwahl, using some of the energy she had, she directed the sound that Etwahl was making directly into the ears of the three men expressing malice to her mother.

Suddenly, those three men grabbed their ears and began to look on the frightened sides. Sona used one of the techniques she most liked to use in her old world, [Heart Darkness], this technique took the darkest and scariest thing a person had in their heart and put it against themselves.

It was a technique that took her several centuries to develop, but for Sona, it was worth every second she invested in the technique.

...

The first man, a fat man with a hairy body and a gold watch, looked away and out of nowhere, a woman holding a child appeared to him, "It was he, officer. When the man heard what the woman said, and saw at a glance some policemen coming towards him, his heart started to accelerate even more and he started running trying to escape from these supposed policemen.

If they were just a normal woman and child, there would be no problem, what frightened the man was that the woman and the child had car tire marks all over their bodies.

One night he was driving drunk, on a high-speed bend, he didn't see a woman carrying a child and a bag with some shopping back home and passed over them. Frightened, he lowered the glass to see how they were and to his horror, the two were dead. The man didn't want to take responsibility and quickly accelerated to leave. Every time he remembers these two people, the guilt begins to erode him and he gets scared thinking about the possibility of being caught.

Running in despair, the already drunk man hit a pill with his head and fainted at the scene. Some people thought it was strange, other people didn't even care, since it was normal for some crazy people to show up at this bar.

...

The second man, a thin man who was smoking a cigarette with a malicious look on his face toward Madison, suddenly felt his breathing become heavier. Placing his hands on his neck, the man saw a black spot pass into his hands while a strange smoke was leaking from his skin. He had been smoking for over 40 years, the biggest fear he had was of lung cancer, and now, seeing the strange thing happening to him, he knelt on the floor and started crying thinking he was going to die.

...

While that was happening to others, the third man was frightened by something completely different. In his vision, everyone started taking off their shirts and turning to him. At first, he thought it was just something strange that people were doing, but when he saw people start to stew and empty their bellies, his body started to sweat cold and his hands started to shake.

Scared, he turned to look at other people and did the worst thing he could have done at that moment, he looked at Madison. She also had her stomach out and what he saw made him almost piss on the spot. Her navel was deformed because she was pregnant.

This man had Omphalophobia, an intrinsic fear of navels. When he saw the bellybuttons surrounding him and unwittingly looked at Madison's pregnant belly button, his body started to shake and he passed out there on the ground.

...

Sona seeing what was the fear of this last man can't stop laughing alone, she had used this technique on many people, but this one without a shadow of a doubt was the person who had the strangest reaction she's ever seen in her whole life.

When she was laughing, a voice woke her up. "Hey Angela, your turn is coming up."
