The past three days have been very hectic for the whole Mu clan, as well as the other clans. They want to outdo each other. Aiming to be the best of the best.

Due to the compelling reward from the clan head, many treated the task of finding the best gift seriously. They presented all the most precious and valuable treasures that they had, wishing that it will catch the eyes of their clan head.

"I really hope that clan head can consider taking this gift that I prepared"

said one of the clan disciples as they gathered around the main hall.

"HuH!,... you wish. The items that should be gifted to young prince must something that can't just be bought by money" harrumphed one of the inner disciples. His name was Mu Chen.

"Yes you're right, that is why I exhausted a great deal to get this gift"

another disciple butted in as he showed them a gourd.

Just the gourd itself was lavishly looking. It has inscriptions written all over it and one look can tell that there is something special about it.

"Say, Mu Bai, what could be inside that gourd for you to look so confident???"

Mu Chen asked curiously.

"This gourd contains a heavenly wine, it has an excellent healing effect. Any wounds can be treated by just one cup of it at a visible rate"

the man holding the gourd said hauntingly.

"A wine that can heal all wounds?!! That must be expensive"

a disciple who was listening at the side said surprisingly.

"Well, as I told you earlier this gift is not something that can be bought even if you have money, it takes a whole bunch of luck and intelligence to acquire this one" Mu Bai replied with an air of superiority.

"TSK! Don't get so c.o.c.ky just because of your wine, if I must say it was no near compared to my celestial amulet" another disciple presented his gift.

Mu Tangzi extended his forearms for everyone to see. He was wearing an amulet that has an intricate design on it.

"This amulet can actually shield one from an attacked no matter how powerful it is. It has a protective shield and was fortified by a powerful warlock. It can save you even from a near-death situation" he added.

"Ohh... I recalled that Mu Tangzi once had a fortuitous encounter on an ancient domain and I heard that he get many treasures from there" one disciple whispered to his friend.

"No wonder he could present such a valuable gift, he was really lucky."

"Enough everyone, clan head will be arriving soon so you will each have a chance to show the gifts that you prepared. No need to cause unnecessary disturbance" an elder came and intercepted the show off when he noticed the commotion inside the main hall.

When Mu Ruochen arrived, the main hall was densely packed already. Soon, the presentation began and treasures after treasure were neatly arranged by raw forming a long horizontal line.

Mu Ruochen brought two people with him to assist him in choosing the best gift. The first elder was standing next to him, while on his right stands a handsome young man. His domineering aura radiated even in his simple gesture as he was casually sweeping glances on the treasures. This handsome young man was Mu Lingxi's older brother Mu Gaoyan.

"It's good that you decided to visit our clan this time" Mu Ruochen said to his grandson.

"Un.." Mu Gaoyan nodded. "I also want to visit Mu Lingxi. I wonder how she's doing nowadays."

The duo chatted as they were observing each of the treasures. They carefully pick the best items among the treasures presented as they discussed its properties.

"This is the MILK TEA leaves. It was some kind of special eurphobia. Its milky juice can be extracted and added to a tea. It can stabilize one's state of mind which is vital especially for those who were planning to learn the way of magic" the first elder pointed to weird-looking plant and explain its purpose.

"It's good that I decided to ask for Elder Xuanxing's assistance. You are the most knowledgeable man in my ranks that is why I ask you to accompany me in choosing the best gift., I will be counting on you for this matter" Mu Ruochen said smiling.

"It was my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to lend you a hand clan head." Elder Xuanxing answered respectfully.

Soon, they reached the end of the line and the items that will be gifted to the young prince's name day has been carefully selected.

"Thank you for bringing your valuable items today. I've seen how precious each of these gifts that you presented. The items that have been selected and the reward will be discussed this evening" with that being said, Mu Ruochen again dismissed the crowd.

Later that night, the owners of the selected gifts were gathered at the main hall. Among the disciples that can be seen standing inside was Mu Bai and Mu Tangzi. It was obvious that both of their gifts have been chosen. Even Mu Chen was there and it happens that he was one who brought the euphoria plant and it has been chosen by Elder Xuanxing as a suitable gift.

One by one, the owners have been called to discuss the rewards for their items.

"Hooh!" Mu Ruochen exhaled a deep breath after talking to the last disciple. He intends to handle the job personally to make sure that the reward can satisfy the owners of the gift.

"Clan head, you've been very busy these past days. I hope now that we already gathered enough gift, you could finally give yourself a break." Elder Xuanxing kindly advised him.

"I'm glad to see that our clan is still not declining. Just the gifts present today were enough to show that our clan's wealth was on par with the royal palace's treasury. HAHAHAHA" Mu Ruochen replied merrily.

"Grandfather, you should not be saying those words. If anyone with ill intentions towards our clan heard it, they might use it to jeopardize our good relationship with your majesty" Mu Gaoyan reminded his grandfather.

"Ohh,.. of course, I was just joking. Besides, there were only three of us here. You're getting more and more austere the longer you stay at the palace" Mu Ruochen retorted to his grandson

"Gaoyan was just being careful. With the position of the next empress hanging just above our head, many are aiming for our fall. It was inevitable that many clans are getting envious towards us. It will not be surprising if they are sending spies to our residence every now and then just to know what would be our next move" the first elder supported Gaoyan.

"Okay, okay... My fault. You people were so serious. I wish I could spend more of my days with Little Lingxi instead" Mu Ruochen surrendered to the two.
