Sorceress 101

Mu Lingxi stared with her eyes wide open when she realize what trouble she has to face.

As she finally got a chance to have a closer look on the figure that was approaching her in fast speed, her heart almost stop beating due to fright.

What she saw is not her cute little black cat Janus, but instead she saw a running wild boar. This boar had two sharp tusk glowing like a hot lava. It makes the appearance of the boar more frightening. On its forehead lies a crystal that looks like a ruby and as big as a fingernail.

It was running with an alarming speed and was about to approach her. For the first time in her two life times, Mu Lingxi felt the kick of adrenaline rush. With a sudden jolt in her body, she sprint and run as fast as her feet could take her.

"WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! JAAAAANUUUUUUUSSSS!!!!!!" she screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Oh geez... I don't want to end up as a meat paste or as a snack for this beast. Janus where are you?!!!"

Mu Lingxi kept on sending signals to Janus through their mental link in hope that he would come and rescue her.

She did not dare look at her back for the fear of seeing the wild boar running after her. She run as fast as she could, tripping over some rocks and fallen logs here and there. As Lingxi continues to move forward, she realized that she was running too deep in the wilderness.

As she run for her life, she notice flashes of light every now and then. This flashes was accompanied by small explosion but instead of heat, she felt freezing air. She assumed that the running wild boar behind her was the one shooting the freezing bomb or whatever they called it.

Soon, trees of large trunks with a girth as big as the size of the waist of ten brawny men combined, started to appear one by one on her line of sight.

When she saw that the situation was starting to get hopeless since it will become more impossible for someone to save her now, Lingxi panicked. She was running like a headless chicken and due to her panic, she did not notice the big tree standing on her way. She collided to its body and fell in her b.u.t.t with a tump. Afraid to get caught by the wild boar, she immediately scrambled her way up the tree.

When she was finally high enough she settled herself to one of the thick branches of that tree. She looked down and saw that the boar was still running to the direction where she had been and was about to reach her destination. But what confused her is when she saw that the flashes of light and the explosive is not coming from the wild boar but from something running right behind the beast. It seems that something more ferocious was running in pursuit of the wild boar.

Another blue light flashes and this time, the light hit one of the hind legs of the boar.

"WEEEEEEIIIKKKKKK" the boar screeched as its leg started to have frost all over it.

The wild beast started to falter but it still continued to run while limping. Another explosive was shoot directly to the beast's body and the wild boar stumbled and almost fell.

"WEEEEEIIIIIKKKKKK" another shriek escape from the wild boar as to show its defiance when a silhouette of a man appeared on its sight.
