Sorceress 101

Lava breathing boar is a fire type beast and its offense usually focuses on pure brute force. Despite having a stout body, its agility is a force to be reckoned with. That is why the best way to battle it is to slow it down.

Thus when Long Fuzi, started to plan hunting the beast, he practice casting the spell for conjuring frost bomb which is an ice type explosive. Once the frost bomb impaled its target, it will gradually form frost all over the affected area.

But the downside of this spell is that it does not have any damaging effect. It will just slow down or halt the movement of its target as it will become frozen. But once the ice melted, the target can recover from it easily. Just like what happen to Long Fuzi's case.

Being weaken as he had been casting frost bomb one after another during the chase, he almost depleted his mana dry.

Warlock and sorceress power relies on casting spell of course. Every increase in level of each realm also means that they will have an increase in the mana that they can acc.u.mulate. Relatively mana is needed for them to cast a spell. It was like a fuel for a car. No matter how good the car is, it will still be useless if it does not have any fuel to run it. In another comparison, mana was like the battery life while the wand serves as the phone. Upon using it over time, the mana just like the battery life will drain so it has to be recharged by reinforcing magical nucleus that can be found within the body of a magical beast.

Warlocks and sorceress of red realm has a mana ranging from 5-50.

Those from amateur level can store 5 mana in their wand. Intermediate level warlocks and sorceress has 10 mana while those in the professional level can have up to 20 mana. Upon reaching the senior level, they will be able to acc.u.mulate 35 mana in their wand and once they reached the level of a master, they can have 50 mana stored in their wand.

Long Fuzi was currently at senior level in red realm. He can gather up to 35 mana. Strong enough to face the lava breathing boar at a single battle. But right now his mana has been consumed due to his previous pursuit.

A single frost bomb will cost him 1 mana per attack. And assuming that they had been running all along, he already lost count on how many frost bomb he already conjured. His mana must have been consumed more than its half amount, while this lava breathing boar that he was facing was a magical beast on its peak.

One disadvantage on battling a magical beast is that, while warlock and sorceress spells can be powerful, it has a limit. Once they consume their mana, they won't be able to cast any spell and they will have to solely rely on themselves. While magical beast was naturally born with advantage of magic that won't run dry unless they got killed.

That is why when the lava breathing boar fight him desperately, he easily got injured.

His seven orifices was bleeding profusely due to the impact. He could have at least safe himself from this assault if he was not busy saving the little girl not too far away. Using his remaining mana, he enclosed Mu Lingxi into a bubble to shield her from the impact of the sound wave.

Feeling light headed due to loss of blood, he almost fainted. But he knew very well that this is not the time to show his weakness.

The situation was in complete reverse, this time it was the lava breathing boar who was chasing after Long Fuzi.
