Sorceress 101

As the little black cat said those words he started to morphed its body and form a huge panther. Its body becomes enormous and his pangs started to grow at a visible rate as well. His silky black hair glowed and seems to draw you to its darkness if you tried to stare at it. Mu Lingxi reached out her hand and touch the mane of her cat that becomes a black panther.

If other people will see this scene, they might faint from fear. Or run as fast as they could, cause they might think that a monster emerges out of nowhere. The little black cat transformed into a giant panther. Even just the paw itself was bigger than Mu Lingxi's face!

"MEOW" [ Let's go!]

Mu Lingxi climb at the back of the beast and hold tightly to its fur.

The enlarged cat leaps out. Its paws make its way up. Touching and leaping from one stone to another until they reached the top. As they ascend to the peak Mu Lingxi realized that they were at a cliff. To be precise they just came out from the bottom of it.

"I wonder, what is she doing in this cliff in the first place??? It seems like the Mu Lingxi of this world died from falling as well just like me" she concluded.

She searched her memory to know where exactly is that place. On her memory, she recalled talking to her cousin, Mu Yanxiao. Mu Yanxiao just like her also has a dainty status on their clan. Mu Yanxiao enjoys the same preferential treatment from their clan just like Mu Lingxi. Both came from the young generation with powerful backing. Mu Lingxi has her overprotective brother as a general of the kingdom's military force as well as the close peer of the emperor. While Mu Yanxiao was the only daughter of her parent, both died during the war. With that being said, both of her parents were celebrated as the hero of the nation adding more fame and prestige to the Mu clan. That is why it is not surprising to know that their grandfather, the clan head doted both of these granddaughters.

Mu Lingxi and Mu Yanxiao were both candidates for the position of the crown princess. The crown prince will have to marry an influential family daughter as a source of power. Marriage is the best way to secure a good connection between the two powers. This was done to ensure the stability of power for the future of the kingdom, and also to ensure that the kingdom can maintain its reputation with the passing of time. It just so happen that the Mu Clan is the perfect match for that. While the two young ladies seem to be amicable at the surface, there was a secret competition between the two. One of them has to marry the crown prince and trained to become the next empress.

Many believed that the title suits Mu Yanxiao better although no one has the gut to express it publicly. But they believe it with their heart. She often goes out and does charities on the poor. She even went out of her carriage before to save and personally fed a hungry slave on the road. Dirtying her beautiful silk dress on the process since the road was muddy that time due to heavy rain. Nonetheless, the lady did not fret on it and her smile was still as warm as the summer breeze. Lady Mu Yanxiao was the goddess on everyone's eye. She was a dutiful, elegant and kind-hearted person. A true ladylike a complete opposite from the troublemaker Mu Lingxi.

But of course, Mu Lingxi knows her cousin better than anyone. Behind those sheepskin and angelic face, lies a wolf and a truly vile character. Mu Yanxiao was too scheming and her favorite past time was to play the victim on her own grand scheme. This pretense irritates Mu Lingxi the most that's why they did not go along well.

On that day before her tragic fall, Mu Yanxiao told Mu Lingxi that they should meet at the cliff saying that she has something important to tell. Mu Lingxi, of course, refused to meet her first but Mu Yanxiao told her that it has something to do with her parents. The whereabouts of her parents was a great taboo on their clan. She tried learning about it before but everyone told her the same story, they died on a mission. No more than that. This bait really caught her interest that is why she decided to agree meeting Yanxiao even though she does not feel good about it. She can't just let go of the chance to learn more about her parents. As a result, her bad feeling does not fail her. Old Mu Lingxi would never imagine even in her wildest dream that her curiosity will eventually lead to her early death.

On the night of their meeting, Mu Lingxi secretly made her way on the cliff as agreed. But before she could even reach her destination, a group of men dressed in all black and a face covered with a black mask intercepted her way. That is how the foreign memory ended and Mu Lingxi can't deny her intuition that there is some foul play involved in this incident. Mu Yanxiao has something to do with the unripe death of the previous owner of her body. She decided to let the matter slide for the meantime, as long as Mu Yanxiao will not bother her in the future, she is willing to forget it and bygone. After all, Mu Yanxiao technically didn't harm her and her doings works well for Mu Lingxi instead. Because it gives her leeway for resurrection. In any sense somehow she should thank Mu Yanxiao as well if the dying of old Mu Lingxi really has something to do with her. But of course, she is not insane yet to do that unless she would like to exposed herself.
