His brother Mu Gaoyan means a lot to her, or well at least that was what she knew based on the memory she had from the previous host of her body.

It took time for Mu Lingxi to process everything that Mu Yanxiao just told her. But when the realization finally dawned on her, she had this weird look on her face.

She could not understand why would the Crown Prince would ever do that thing to her brother, to begin with.

His brother had been very loyal to the royal family.

Her brother had almost given them his life, his time and everything.

To the point that he nearly abandoned his only sister just to served the royal family and do his duty as a general.

That was why Mu Lingxi was really having a hard time coming in terms with what Mu Yanxiao had told her at that moment

Like, why would they do that to a loyal subject, such her Brother Gaoyan??

Their Mu Clan might have fallen out of the good graces of the royal family, partially because of her fault when she ran away from her arranged marriage with Long Fuzi

But as far as she was concerned, that issue was still redeemable.

The quandary between their two families was not that big enough yet for any of them to plot against one another.
