The moment the first ray of sunlight penetrated the horizon, the master and cat duo also started their journey.

"MEOW"

[Do you have a place in mind??? Where do we go next???]

Asked Janus, as they made their way towards the bustling market.

"I honestly don't know," Mu Lingxi said with a voice full of uncertainty.

"MEOW"

[I guess I know???? At least that should be anywhere except here. The longer we stay here, the higher the risk that we will get caught either by the emperor or your clan.]

"That is something that I won't allow,...Ohh yeah, by the way-------------

"MEOW"

"HEYYYY!!!!! Hey where is your ring????!!!!"

"Ehhhh???"

Mu Lingxi was flabbergasted when she heard what Janus just said, but when she looked at her finger that used to wear her ring, it was gone!

"THIEEEEEEEFFFFFF!!! Stop that one! He stole my ring!!!!"

The people who heard Mu Lingxi were startled by her sudden outburst. They momentarily step aside and turn their head to the girl running at full speed.

She was not sure how the thief manages to take her ring away from her hands without alarming her. It was odd though, cause she really did not feel anything.

Even now, she could still feel like she was wearing a ring, but when she looks at it, there is none! If not for Janus telling it to her, it was a question if she could notice it.

She knew instantly that it was the same guy who just passes by at her side who took her ring. She remembered exactly how he looks like because he is handsome at some point.

Yet the moment that she realized that her ring was missing in her finger, the guy run away as fast as he could.

She continued to chase after him, and it was as if her vision just focused at the figure running away from her.

The thief was too troublesome. Sometimes, he will push away a bunch of onlookers on his way to slowed Mu Lingxi and Janus' pursuit. Even the fruit stalls did not escape his scheme as he tried to put it between the road, blocking his pursuers.

Janus just like Mu Lingxi was running at full speed, yet he was still at her cat form. He did not dare to transform in front of the crowd to avoid unnecessary trouble.

They soon reached the edge of the market but they cannot still apprehend the thief. He was still on the run. Before Janus could catch him, he jumps in the bushes leading to a forest.

She dashed straight to the bushes and shouted at the top of her lungs,

"THIIIIIIEEEEEEEEFFFFFFFFFFF! Just don't let me catch you or I'll cut your jeyjey into two!!!"

The running thief shuddered when he heard the lady curse his Jey Jey. He subconsciously reaches out his behave jeyjey lying between his legs.

He gulped another mouthful of saliva,

"CRAP!!!! Why is this girl too fast???? Is she a cheetah in disguise?!!"

He can't help but turn his head to Mu Lingxi's direction and what he saw almost make his knees buckle from astonishment.

The lady was leaping from one tree to another with all ease. She looks like a butterfly flying from one flower to another.

"WHAT THE HECK?!!!!!!! Did I just encounter a phantom?!"

Yet as if the situation can't get any better, he saw a little black cat running after him. He did not dare blink his eyes anymore, because he saw how the little black cat was transforming into a huge black panther.

"This won't do!"

He reaches out for something inside his vest and right after that, he pointed out an ordinary-looking piece of a stick towards Janus.

"STAMATISTE EKEI"

As he said that, a glimmering light shoot out from the end of his stick and it covered the approaching figure of the black panther, halting its figure.
