"Shut up, and make it fast! Stop talking nonsense."

Mu Lingxi beat her talkative cat into action. Poor little cat, Janus got another lump to be added in his collection.

She hates to admit it, but she thinks that all of these mishaps were all thanks to that birthmark. HAIXT!

Out from the running mob came a spear and it flew straight to Janus' direction. No one knew who releases that imposing spear but it was targeting the body of the black panther.

Yet to their astonishment, before the spear could pierce the body of the running panther, the master and cat duo vanishes before their eyes.

It was as if they disappeared in thin air!

The spear landed with a clang in the empty space where Mu Lingxi and her cat, Janus were last spotted.

The mob stared with wide eyes and mouth agape.

They wonder how did they manage to escape their eyes and even disappear just like that???

The mob dispersed and look around the area. Hoping to see their walking gold coins as soon as possible

On the contrary, Mu Lingxi was staring at the man who allegedly saves them, and her beautiful face was frowning.

It was the same guy who almost stole her ring!

"MEOW"

[Little lass, say something. Thank him at least for saving us. Without him meddling and warping the space, I might get pierced by that spear and who-knows-what next. I doubt if I can successfully teleport you by diffusing another drop of my ancient blood.]

Janus keeps on nudging his master but Mu Lingxi did not soften her feature.

"Ohh I guess were quits now, right??? I save you, then you save us back. It's a tie."

She said as she raised her eyebrow. Perfectly portraying an image of a mean girl.

She was not sure why, but she doesn't like the vibe radiating with this guy. Maybe they were enemies in their past life???

Whenever she saw him smiling widely at her, she will instantly felt annoyed.

"Is that how you thank your benefactor??? You were really such a spoiled brat then."

"Excuse me?!!! Aren't we the ones who save you first?!"

"Yeah... and you're the same reason why I fell on that quicksand in the first place."

"Ohhh... have you forgotten that you tried to steal my ring, and if we didn't catch you on time, you might probably run away unscathed and take my ring with you?!! THIEF!!!"

"Woooahhh... Woah.. Woah... Hold it right there missy??? I'm not a thief! For your information."

The two youngsters keep and squabbling giving Janus a strong headache. He was sitting in the middle of the squabbling duo and was trying hard to keep his phase as he looks from his left to his right, back to let then right again until his neck hurts as well.

"Ohh yeah, then what do you call someone who took the belongings of someone else then???! Would you mind enlighten me, mister?????"

Mu Lingxi can't help but retort with sarcasm written all over her face.

"Okay, I'm sorry, I know this is my fault. But this was all but a misunderstanding."

The guy, Yuan Tao, said as he tried to exhale a mouthful of air. He continued his narration. But the next words that he was about to say seems embarrassing cause he kept on hesitating.

"The truth is, I was just casually trying my new-found spell, "The Evanesce". I coincidentally learned the enchantment for it once, when I had a chance encounter at an ancient domain.

It focuses on robbing the light over a particular thing causing it to look as if it disappeared. But in reality, it only makes it invisible."
