Soul Of The Primordial Remanent
Chapter 41 - Exit
"Final goodbye? Then we met before," Rais's spirit became heavy from unknown familiarity. Despite this feeling, Rais felt lost on what to conceive, he questioned his origin and how he ended up.
"And those two vortexes? Are they, similar not?" Rais stayed collected despite slight frustration with his lack of knowledge.
"Similar? Yes ..." Ishkin paused.
"... but to me; however, they lack consciousness; only their spiritual memories remain."
"There exist methods to observe the memory," Rais asked since the staggering strangeness of the tower until now only stack more confusions over Rais's mind, and now if he could examine these two memories, it might lead him somewhere.
"No, not as yet, but maybe in the future."
"Explain to your novice brother."
"You require power; once an Essence Primer reaches the required spiritual cultivation to manifest their spiritual memory, only then. However, the vortexes hold too much spiritual memory acc.u.mulated over the ages, It would overwhelm almost anyone if they attempted to peer into it."
"If they existed for ages, they are not nobody. Once I enter the Throne Restorers, I must research about them. I need to discern if their origin leads me anywhere," Rais pondered. "I wonder, whose memories the vortexes hold," Rais mumbled, feeling defeated.
"The light vortex holds the memory of a man titled Ethereal King, and the other is a woman, titled the Night Empress."
"You know them!"
"No, I had asked the consciousness residing within the silvery wheel."
Each answer Rais obtained, the more questions sprouted from it. Rais became further confused about himself than he was before entering the tower. To leave the tower, he laid flat beholding the dusky spectacle.
"Rais, Is that all you wanted to query?
"Certainly much more; for now, recount your brother on how you defended him, though refrain from telling me relating to the attackers."
"Worry not, I only recognize their glorious faces, not their purpose, nor their origin. However, Rais, I understand you expect your mother to guide you concerning them, but no mother wants such a path for their child."
"No, my mother is not a coward."
"Hehe he, alright; prove me wrong, as you did to your attackers when managed to survive as a baby. Although I erased half of my memory, I regret nothing; I still appreciate their stunned faces when their lethal golden arrows deflected, even when your mother failed to redirect them. I wish, you could see, the expression on their faces, when they beheld a baby of less than a year, produce such a formidable force. Amazed, I became, that with no energy, I cleanly deflected such swift and fierce attacks. Though I should credit the consciousness residing within the gray ring since he taught me the otherworldly skill."
"Thank you, I will be back to learn shortly."
"Don't die. If you die, I will die."
"Such parting blessings, I will remember it."
Rais concentrated to leave the soul place and felt his heart throbbing. He opened his eyes again, and the interior of the tower became blurry as bright light entered his eyes. He decided to ask one last thing before leaving.
"Hey, Ishkin, you think it's possible to reach beyond the tower?"
"No!" Ishkin answered with complete assurance.
Startled, Rais became, but he chose to retain the knowledge to himself. He realized the tower was much more than just a soul place, and he had more to explore.
Devoid of the familiar touch, Rais felt the tranquil atmosphere of the tower forsake him, while his body grew extremely heavy. Rais reminded himself of the marvelous platform and the ovoid rune crystal above the tower.
Regained his consciousness, Rais tried to get up, but couldn't feel his legs. He pushed his hands against the bed since being unconscious for so long made it difficult for him to move.
The squeaking of the bed alerted Anila, who sat in the corner on the floor. After the repeated attempts, Rais relaxed, supporting his back against two puffy pillows.
His body acc.u.mulated sweats, while his fever died down, and the light breeze entered his sweaty pores. Rais seemed a bit older since his eyes radiated a confident aura, and a dry smile hung on his face.
The dripping tune, Rais woke up to see the rain had not stopped falling. He recalled the moment he had lost his consciousness; It also rained back then. Somehow this felt familiar.
