Spartan In Star Wars

Chapter 60 - Hammer

---Separatist Headquarters--

"Ventress I've received word that the Republic forces have got some reinforcements."

"They will not be a problem."

"You misunderstand me Ventress, these are no simple reinforcements. It's the Mandalorian Diesel. I'm sure you've heard of him?"

"I'll handle it Master. He cannot change the outcome of this battle."

"Don't be no sure." The communicator cuts out leaving Ventress standing alone staring at her wrist. A forceless will be no match for me."

-- Battlefield--

A long street stretching all the way across to the Separatist stronghold became the battlefield as the Republic forces were slowly being forced back. Diesel and all the 300th stood back and watched as this was happening.

"What is this madness that I'm watching? Why are you trying to face the enemy forces without any real plan?" No wonder you haven't won this battle yet. You cannot with a war with just feeling it out. Use your head."

"Diesel what do you mean? This is the only way towards the Separatist stronghold!" Anakin gets slightly heated and raises his voice towards Diesel.

"You misunderstand what I'm saying Anakin. I thought I explained this before, the clones shouldn't be treated as cannon fodder and you're only sending them to their deaths at the moment. You could be setting charges along the path while you slowly retreat. Setting them off could totally cripple the droids lines depending how far you go. Also, one of the two of you should be down there supporting the clones." Diesel could only stare at the two Jedi in disappointment. He had no way else to explain to them that this war isn't just a war you can throw lives at.

Diesel thought back to the days in "Spartan School." No matter what the objective HAD to be completed the loss of lives meant nothing. A Spartans life meant more than an entire battalion of soldiers. But more often than not it was for those soldiers that a Spartan gave their lives up for. How many times has a Spartan been sent on a suicide mission.

The longer Diesel was away from his home. The more he felt he was "raised" wrong. However, UNSC drilled loyalty so deep into his soul that at times he felt he was in autopilot attempting to complete a mission. He wanted to hate the UNSC but he couldn't. His brothers and sisters were out then and the UNSC is what brought them together and he has to thank them for that.

Being left in this unknown region of space has awakened Diesel to feelings he never thought he would have. Naboo, Mandalorians, Clones, and Clan Spartan he now has a home and he will defend it. "I can't watch this any longer."

"What do you mean?" all three Jedi turned and looked towards the Spartan in confusion.

"Just watch."

Diesel jumped down from the overlook, landing on the ground next to his men he started moving towards the frontline in an imposing manner. Captain Rex moved forward and started walking next to Diesel.

"Sir? What's the plan?"

"Captain Titan and Captain Waltz will take their men and take the buildings on the respective sides of the road. We will call for a retreat when we are into position. This will force the droids in-between completely revealing the center formation. When they reach Point K we will collide with the frontline completely cutting off the frontline of the droids. Our only issue will be the tanks and spider droids. If done to perfection we should have zero casualties."

--Jedi--

"Masters, I don't understand. Why didn't either one of you say anything about us. Why, didn't he show any Jedi respect? It felt like resentment?"

"That is Diesel the leader of the Mandalorian people. In other words Madalor. His Battle record actually speaks for itself. If you want to know more just search for him. He is widely known. If it wasn't for him many Jedi would have died in the Battle of Geonosis.

"What do you mean Master?"

"Well...."

--Battlefield Ventress--

"It doesn't seem like they've made their move yet. Do we have any other movements? The 300th is here now in full force; they should be making a move shortly." As Ventress finished what she was saying to Loathsom her communicator started buzzing with a Tactical Droid appearing.

"The Republic Forces are retreating, I'd suggest the probability of an ambush being 2.96890453%."

"What if you add the 300th to the equation?" Sneering at the droid Ventress loudly demanded an answer.

"The 300th would raise the probability to 80.58751678%. Most instances involving the 300th are fast engagements, heavily ending in our defeat. Our chances of victory would be close to .1% if they are involved in any manner."

"Have the droids retreat! It's a trap."

Before the orders could be relayed explosions could be heard over the communicator. "Loathsom retreat with what we can."
