Spending A Lovey-Dovey College Life With A Spoiled Childhood Friend

Saturday, May 25th. Today’s the day of my date with Miyu, which I had promised her for a long time. As expected, there were no amusement parks in Tsukunami City, so we decided to go to an amusement park in Tokyo. According to my research, it’s the oldest amusement park in Japan.

This was my first date with Miyu since she became my girlfriend. So, I set up my hair and took my clothes to the cleaners, putting a little more effort into it than usual. ‘I wonder what Miyu will wear.’ As I was thinking about this, the intercom on my door rang.

“Ryu-kun! Good morningggg!!!”

As soon as I opened the door, Miyu jumped onto my chest. Since we started dating, Miyu has become more aggressive and sweet towards me, and if I do say so myself, I think she became even more attractive as a woman.

“Your hairstyle looks different today.”

I said this, as I lightly touched the hair that was hanging over on her shoulder.

“Oh, don’t mess with it too much, okay?”

“I-I see…”

“Of course, I like it when you stroke my head. But, I’ve set it up well today so…”

Miyu said it with a little shame. She wore a pair of pants, which seems to be easy to move around in, but it looked tight and shapely. Including her hair, Miyu looked a little more mature.

“All right! Let’s go then.”

After that, we decided to take the TEX to Asakusa station. It only took about 40 minutes from Tsukunami Station to Asakusa Station, and it’s easy to get there with just one train.

“Wow! It’s so crowded…”

“I figured it would be crowded since it’s a tourist attraction…”

As soon as we stepped out of Asakusa Station, it was crowded with a lot of people. If I took my eyes off Miyu for a moment, I’m sure we’ll get separated. So, I held her hand just to make sure that wouldn’t happen.

The amusement park was located in the downtown area of Asakusa, and the entrance was in the middle of the city, which was a bit strange for me.

“Now then, where should we go first?”

I asked Miyu while reading the amusement park brochure.

“I want to ride the Roller Coaster!”

“Ugh, I’m not good with those… but, okay.”

I heard that the maximum speed is 40km/h, which is slow, and unlike the other screamers in big amusement parks, I think I can handle this one. By the way, I heard that it was built over 60 years ago.

When we got to the Roller Coaster, there were already a lot of people waiting in line, and I heard it would take about 30 minutes to get in.

“It’s a bit retro, ain’t it? It got a nice feel to it.”

We passed the time by chatting.

Although the speed of the Roller Coaster was slow, there was a place where there was a building right next to it, and I was a little scared that it might hit it… but oh well, I guess it’s okay since Miyu enjoyed the ride.

Next was the Haunted House. It’s a standard attraction at amusement parks, but as you would expect from the oldest amusement park in Japan, the Japanese style appearance of the Haunted House made it even more mysterious. Neither Miyu nor I are the type to be scared by a Haunted House, but it’s not a bad idea to go there since it’s supposed to be a specialty of the Amusement Park.

When we went inside the place was dimly lit and looked like an abandoned building. I thought it was just a haunted house, but it had quite an atmosphere.

“It’s like an abandoned house, isn’t it?”

“I thought the same thing!”

We both laughed at each other. As expected, neither Miyu nor I were scared, but there was a strange atmosphere that made us want to go back.

After that, we went to the merry-go-round (I was embarrassed, but Miyu insisted that we ride it), the free fall, and many other attractions. Before we knew it, it was just before 5pm. [TLN: just so you guys know, the more I TL this novel the more I get jealous QAQ]

“Next is the last, I guess. What do you want to ride?”

“Uhm… I want to ride the Little Ferris Wheel!”

“Ehh, that’s a bit…”

As the name implies, it’s a Ferris wheel for little kids, not for a good old college student by any stretch of the imagination.

“Since we’re here, let’s go and ride it, please?”

That’s what she said to me.

“I’m ashamed to say this but it reminds me of my elementary days…”

It reminds me of the time when my and Miyu’s family went to an amusement park together. But…

“The Ferris wheel was boring.”

“Ryu-kun, back then you had a look on your face that said, ‘I can’t wait for this to be over.’”

Miyu looked at me and giggled. I think it was just me, Miyu, and my mother in the Ferris Wheel. At the time, I didn’t really understand the joy of looking at the scenery, and I was hoping that the ride would end soon.

While we were discussing these things, the Ferris wheel ended in a flash.

After that, we left the amusement park together, but it was still before 6pm.

“Are you hungry?”

“Hmm… since we’re in Asakusa, why don’t we have some Monja?”

“Have you eaten Monja before, Ryu-kun?”

“Nope, but since we’re here, why don’t we try some?”

“Okay!”

After that, we went to a Monjayaki Restaurant where we could get in. There were many kinds of Monja, such as Plain Monja, Cheese Monja, Mentaiko Monja, etc, and so it was hard to decide which one to order. I don’t really know how to make Monja, but fortunately, the waitress cooked it very well on the griddle.

“It tasted kind of strange. But, it’s delicious…”

“Yeah, I don’t know how to describe the taste, but it really is delicious…”

It was our first experience with Monja, and we enjoyed this mysterious dish with sauce and sludgy ingredients.

It was almost 8:00 p.m. when we left the restaurant after eating Monja, and it was time to go home, but I had some different things on my mind today.

“H-Hey, Miyu… you know… there’s a place I would like to go.”

I was a little nervous to start the conversation. Because, this was my first time asking her to go to a hotel with me. I wondered what she’ll think of me…

“Hmm? Do you want to have some tea?”

Miyu innocently replied. All right, I’ll say it now.

“Because it’s kinda late to go home now… so, how about we stay in a hotel for tonight?”

Maybe because it’s so late that I don’t know what I’m saying anymore…

“It’s a hotel where we could do naughty things, right?”

She asked me back such a question while her shoulders hunched and her ears reddened.

“A-ahh… is it a no, after all?”

“Hmm, no it’s not that, I’m actually happy that you asked me.”

Miyu’s face looked confused but happy.

“Then, I’m glad…”

“You were thinking the same too right, Ryu-kun?”

“So did you too, Miyu?”

“Un! Since this was a good opportunity, I wanted to go there once…”

Since Miyu was the one who kept pushing me, I thought I should go first this time, but I didn’t know she was thinking the same thing.

After that, we arrived at the hotel, which was about a 10-minute walk away. The green neon lights made me aware of the fact that we were about to do something like that.

It’s time to go in and choose a room to stay in for tonight.

“It’s kind of embarrassing, isn’t it?”

“Yeah…”

We exchanged such conversations as we sat on the sofa. I was surprised that Miyu, who had been so pushy lately, suddenly became embarrassed as soon as we entered the hotel, but it was cute that she was embarrassed like that. It made me want to push her down.

“I-I’m gonna take a shower first.”

“Okay…”

So we took turns taking a shower, and sat next to each other on the bed in our bathrobes. As usual, Miyu looked embarrassed, fidgeting with her hands.

“I feel so embarrassed when I’m in a place like this…”

Miyu said as she chuckled. My position is a little reversed from usual, but that also made me feel more comfortable.

So, I grabbed her on the shoulders and kissed her on the lips. Without change, our tongues intertwined as well.

“You’re being very aggressive today, Ryu-kun.”

“It’s because I feel pathetic that Miyu always pushes me around.”

“If you were worried about that, It doesn’t matter, you know?”

Miyu lied down on the bed while she said such a thing. I covered her from above and kissed her again.

As we chatted for sometime, I could hear her sleeping soundly. As I stroked her hair, her happy face shined in the dim light.

“Good night, Miyu.”

That’s all I said before falling asleep too.
