"Finally, I'm free."

"Not really son. You will have to chose your future ." said a middle-aged man

"Your dad is right, dear. You should think carefully about your decision. I suggest you to become an engineer or a medic ." said his mother

"Mom,Dad , know what I want to do. I'll join the army." said the boy.

You could see and fell his excitement when he spoke about his choice.

"Son, if you join the army , you will have to kill Arachnids . I hope you will not regret this decision."

As for my decision to join the army.When I was a child, our planet was attacked by these bugs . Most of them have a big body , around three to four meters tall and three meters long ,with half of it cover by a mouth while their body is supported by six legs that are so sharp , that they can slice a car easly, well these were the low-level soldiers. As for the Warrior class...they can slice a tank in two without any problem.

Coming back to when I was a child, we were trapped in a mall alongside another 2 to 4 hundred people .On the first assault the bugs attacked all of the big location on the earth and when I say big location ,I mean big buildings. They on Earth in Shells that protect them from any danger in space,minimal danger like Earth atmosphere or small space rocks.

As we were trapped in the mall, two shells smashed the ceiling and fall on the ground.

Ten brave men approach the shells ,but in the next moment they were ate by the Arachnids.

From one shell can exit only twenty Arachnids soldiers.

After the men were killed , the bugs start approaching other humans.

My dad and five more men , dragged fourteen people alongside me and mom to the security room.

The security room was big enough for twenty or maybe thirty people. After we locked ourselves in the room , the Arachnids killed almost all the people in the mall.

One hour later , we heard shots and fifteen minutes later we were saved.

The next day , I saw on the news , that a man named John Pad saved more than six hundred thousand people from their death by killing Arachnids for half a day with a small squad of police officers.

Eight year later

As I'm 18 ,I can join the army so that's were I was right now.

"So , boy what do you want?" said the man that was at recruitment station.

"Sir, I want to join the army."

"Brave , indeed or fullish ,but who am I to judge people. Give me your name and some identification card to complete your recruitment".

"Kevin Wardstone , sir."

After five minutes , the man give me a paper.

" Here you go. I hope you will survive at least one battle. We already lost to many good soldiers. Let the will of the last saint guide you."

What's a saint? Well a saint isn't the typical religious saint. Now days , a saint is a soldier that saved many lives and killed bugs, but there is a condition for a person to become a saint : Hive kill. Yes, you need to kill a hive if you want to be acknowledge as a saint.

Three months later I was summoned to Reaper Camp , one of the famous military training base on Earth. The reason I was assigned here was the fact that I was little bit smarter , but smart as I have a high perception not because I was a good info library.

My first week in the base was hell.

From morning to noon we were trained non-stop with a fifteen minutes lunch break.

I was assigned to 82th Platoon , our platoon has one hundred soldiers and we have 5 barracks.

For the next two months , I made some friends : Frank , a nineteen age Caucasian boy with hot-blooded temperament, Himiko , Twenty two year old Japanese and many others people from our platoon.

We were placed in squads , each squad has twenty five soldier with one of them as a leader.

I wasn't selected as a leader , but I was assigned to Mercury, big muscle head black girl. At first I was disappointed ,but as I found that Frank is in the same squad, my mood changes to a bright one.

Another month later were sent to Planet Lost, one of the hive planet that's close to Earth.

Of course this was one of the ten hive planets near Earth that can be a potential hive planet.

In the last month , I learned somethings about Frank for example he was a street fighter ,he love to eat guacamole and he's in love with Sasha.

As for who is Sasha, she's Himiko squad leader and friend. I met her when we hang up with Himiko .

As for Himiko, she's really shy with boys , but bold with the girls. I don't really know much about her as I don't have any interest in finding a girlfriend right now.

After one week of traveling, we arrived at Planet Lost.

All of the soldiers were summoned st the hangar by the Commander.

' Listen to me magots. You will die in the next ten minutes if you aren't careful. I lost one company already and I don't want to lose another one. So kill these mother f.u.c.kers and get revenge for our dead soldiers. '

Sir , Yes ,Sir.

'I DIDN'T HEAR YOU!'

SIR, YES ,SIR.

Five minutes later we were on Planet Lost, a desert like planet with lots of mountains and caves.

As we moved forward , we spotted two Arachnids near a cave.

"Milles , blow that cave." said Mercury

Loading his rocket launcher, Milles looked at the cave and fired.

*Boom*

One big explosion and the cave was blow to pieces alongside the Arachnids.

As we celebrate, the ground start shacking and immediately after we were attacked by Arachnids.

We tried everything , but they keep coming at us like there's no tommorow.

As the army retreats towards the sh.i.p.s, more and more soldiers were killed.

Arms, legs , head , bodies , every place has at least one of them. If you look at the scene were over one hundred thousand soldiers were fighting for their life, you can see how fragile life is.

As our squad was retreating , we found that we are surrounded.

"Guys, it was my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to fight to the death with you. Hope we will meet in hell."

As the Arachnids rushed at us the bodies around us start to increase , but so was our casualties.

As more soldiers from my squad died by the hands(yeah sure hands) of these bugs , I can feel how close death is .

The last six soldiers in my squad were Frank , Mercury,Jim, Ashley, Chen and I.

Looking around I found a cave and together with my squad we rushed at the cave , well we were followed by the bugs, but when my squad entered the cave , I stopped and turned towards the bugs and fired at them.

As I was firing at them, I could hear Frank , Ashley, Jim, Chen even Mercury voice, shouting at me to come and flee from danger ,but I decided to ignore their voices and kill more bugs so they can escape.

But I was a fool , who can a simple human like me dreams to stop a horde of Arachnids. Soon after their voices disappeared , I was stabed by ten or so legs. I knew that I was dead ,but with my last bit of force a pulled a grenade and smiled :"Merry Christmas you f.u.c.k.i.n.g bugs."

*Boom*
