Struggling Gamer

Zay and Maera talked for awhile on what they were going to do before they turned in for the night , the next morning zay woke up to find Maera had already woken up and left , he came out of the room to find them all sitting at the table eating there was a spot already set up for him he sat down and started eating.

" so did you decide on who you would want to teach you " Evie said

"Ya he asked me to teach him " Maera said as she kept eating

" actually I wanted you all to teach me " Zay said and as he did they all stopped and looked at him

"Do you have any idea how hard that would be , especially all of us that would just hurt what the others taught you " said Damian as he stood up slamming his hands on the table

"look i know it's going to be hard but I need to get stronger the only reason I won was because I had Maeras daggers , so please teach me " Zay said as he bowed his head

"Pick your head up you don't need to beg to get stronger but I gotta ask you one question before I agree to be your teacher" Evie said as she got up and put her hand on zays shoulder

"Yes what is " Zay said as he lifted his head to look at Evie

"Why do you want to get stronger what drives you to grow" Evie said as she looked into zays eyes

Zay seen a fire start in her eyes as she asked him

"I want to grow because i've always been weak and needed people to protect me , because of that a lot of people have got hurt or died I don't want it to ever happen again" say said as he clenched his fist the fire in her eyes grew stronger

" good answer okay pack up we head out in

5 " Evie said as she patted zays back and walked to her room

The voice the sounded off

*You have now started the trial of fire*

"You may have got her to teach you but I won't be easy " Damian said as he got up and left .

Zay finished eating and got ready and waited for Evie , she came out with her spear and a big backpack and came to the door

"Let's go" said Evie as she started to walk out the door

"I'll be back when I'm stronger so you have something better to work with " Zay said to Maera as he and Evie left

"So where are we going? "Zay said as he followed not far behind

"Right over there " Evie said as she pointed to the tip of a mountain

"so the mountains i was expecting somewhere with more fire" Zay said with a sigh of relief

"Not a mountain a volcano" Evie said with a chuckle

Zay gulped as they kept walking it was a two day trip , they would switch off caring the backpack Zay was surprised she made it look like nothing , a couple times the voice sounded off saying

Zay looked at his strength when he was just following behind , it was at 15 by the end so that meant his strength was a 12 when they started.

They had stopped at the base of the volcano and Evie started to unpack her bag , there was a staff and stuff to set up camp , Evie threw the staffs at zay it hit him in the head then he caught it , he looked at it was made of wood and it seemed old

"That's what I trained with when I started , now let's get started" Evie said as she grabbed the other and got in a weird stance

"Okay" say said as he copied her stance and as he did the voice sounded off

*training has started*

Doesn't stop pain

As zay read this he gulped and when he came back to she was already coming at him , she hit zay in the c.h.e.s.t sending him back he couldn't breathe

"You better pay attention this ain't a joke , we are just getting started" Evie said as she gave zay a dirty grin.
