Chapter 216

Inside the plane flying over the Pacific Ocean.

Seo-jun read the script in his hand once again.

He had already memorized everything, but he couldn’t help looking at it.

Several scripts that were worn out from reading too much.

This stiff script was a new one that he printed out before leaving the country.

Flap.

Seo-jun opened the first page again and read the lines in his mind, spitting out the dialogue.

He was careful with every line that came to his mind.

He didn’t film other movies carelessly, but the Shadowman series had a special meaning for Seo-jun.

The first movie of ‘Lee Seo-jun’.

‘I like all the other works, but Shadowman is my favorite.’

Seo-jun smiled and turned the pages.

***

The plane that Seo-jun was on arrived in LA.

There was a small incident where the immigration officer recognized Seo-jun, but Seo-jun smiled at the officer’s face, who seemed to have gained the world with a handshake.

“I’ll definitely watch your movie!”

“Thank you.”

With the cooperation of the airport, Seo-jun, Seo Eun Hye, and Anh Da Ho got into the car prepared by King’s Agency.

The accommodation for the movie shooting was prepared by Marina.

Seo-jun and the two people who got on the car left the airport and two security vehicles followed them.

“You don’t have to worry about safety because the security guards will stay with you at the accommodation. The action training center is not far away, so it will be easy for you to go. You have a schedule from the day after tomorrow, so rest well until then and let me know if you need anything.”

The King’s Agency employee who was driving said.

Anh Da Ho, who took care of Seo-jun, checked the location of the training center again.

He had checked it on the internet map in Korea, but it didn’t hurt to check again.

He asked about everything from the operating hours of the training center to other places to use outside of operating hours, restaurants near the training center, Korean restaurants with good reviews, 24-hour convenience stores and hospitals.

He had researched them beforehand, but he asked again just to make sure.

The King’s Agency employee answered everything without missing anything with a smile.

Seo-jun and Seo Eun Hye admired the two people who were constantly exchanging conversations in the front seat.

“They are both amazing.”

“Da Ho hyung is really cool.”

The novice manager who couldn’t speak English was now fluent in English and talking with local staff.

A few years ago, when Seo-jun was young, he dreamed and wished for a veteran manager like Yoon Sung Oh, who was Lee Ji Suk’s manager.

It was exactly that.

Seo Eun Hye whispered softly.

“Do you think mom doesn’t have to follow Seo-jun anymore?”

“Hey. I like being with mom.”

Seo Eun Hye laughed at Seo-jun’s aegyo.

It took quite a long time to get to the accommodation because the land was big.

They were amazed by the bigger than expected accommodation for a moment.

The sun had completely set and they were about to take a break after filling their stomachs with bread.

Seo-jun and the two people were surprised by an unexpected guest.

“Ta-da!”

“Jun. Welcome.”

As soon as they opened the door of the accommodation, Rachel Hill and Evan Block were waiting under bright lights.

They greeted him just like Seo-jun did when they came to Korea.

“Rachel! Evan!”

He was surprised but very happy to see them.

It was almost a year since he met them after Escape.

He often texted and called them, but it was a different feeling to meet them in person.

“How did you two get here?”

“We heard you were coming, so we had to come no matter how busy we were.”

Hehe.

The two actors hugged Seo-jun with a big smile and greeted Seo Eun Hye and Anh Da Ho who were behind him.

After exchanging brief greetings, Evan Block and Rachel Hill led them inside.

“Come on. Are you hungry? We prepared some food.”

“There’s Korean food too! You two come quickly.”

The two people’s eyes sparkled at the word Korean food.

They were a bit tired from traveling for a long time.

The in-flight meal in first class was fine, but they still wanted hot Korean food.

“It’s a new place that hasn’t been open for long, but this restaurant has good reviews.”

“We prepared ‘simply’ in Korean style.”

Everyone laughed at the food that filled the table contrary to their words.

Seo-jun’s face was full of smiles on his first day in LA with familiar faces.

***

After resting for two days, Seo-jun’s schedule began.

Seo-jun’s first schedule in America was a meeting with director Ryan Will.

Seo-jun and Anh Da Ho headed to the action training center where they were supposed to meet Ryan.

“The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and they don’t allow more than that for safety reasons. There are outdoor and indoor training grounds, and there is also a swimming pool for underwater action scenes. It seems like the facilities are well-equipped.”

“Wow. It must be huge.”

“It’s right next to Hollywood.”

Seo-jun nodded at Anh Da Ho’s words.

Supply follows demand.

This place, the action training center, not only trained stuntmen, but also introduced suitable stuntmen to production companies and filmed action scenes together.

Not only that, but Hollywood actors who were ambitious about action or actors who had a lot of scenes where they showed their faces in action scenes also trained here and filmed.

Most of the stuntmen who appeared in the Shadowman series were affiliated with this place.

“Seo-jun, there it is.”

“Wow!”

At Anh Da Ho’s words, Seo-jun leaned his forehead against the glass and looked out the window.

Large buildings that looked like gyms stood side by side.

Evan Block and Rachel Hill also learned here.

The main character of the movie had a lot of intense action scenes and Evan Block performed most of the scenes himself, so he started training a few months ago.

Rachel Hill also started training a month ago.

Seo-jun had less action scenes and easier movements than the two, so he was given three weeks.

‘I’ll catch up soon!’

What kind of fun training was waiting for him?

Seo-jun’s eyes sparkled as he looked at the action training center that was getting closer.

***

Action Training Center Main Building.

Director Ryan Will and Jonathan Will, who were waiting in the conference room, greeted Seo-jun and Anh Da Ho.

They exchanged brief greetings and sat down.

“I watched Escape. You did well in action.”

“Hehehe.”

Seo-jun smiled shyly at director Ryan Will’s compliment.

He liked the compliments from other directors, but he felt the most touched by the compliment from his first director.

“The action scenes in Shadowman 3 are more complex and longer than Escape. But don’t worry, I’ll adjust them well for you.”

“Don’t worry! It sounds really fun!”

The three people who had spent a long time with Seo-jun nodded their heads at Seo-jun’s sparkling eyes.

They knew Seo-jun’s acting ambition well.

“Please take good care of him, Mr. Da Ho.”

“Yes. Don’t worry.”

Seo-jun pouted at director Ryan Will and Anh Da Ho’s words.

The director smiled slightly at his childish look and opened his mouth.

“Jun. Let’s just take a tour today and start training tomorrow. I have someone to introduce you to.”

“Introduction?”

Seo-jun blinked and thought for a moment, then exclaimed “Ah!”

Ryan Will and Jonathan laughed.

Seo-jun’s face, which had been pouting, brightened up.

“My stuntman?”

Seo-jun’s stuntman.

The actor who would perform the intense action scenes of Jin Natra instead.

He remembered the stuntman who looked similar to Evan Block when he filmed Shadowman 2.

Seo-jun’s eyes sparkled.

“That’s right.”

Ryan Will nodded and bought some time.

“He must be training right now. Shall we go see him?”

“Yes!”

Seo-jun nodded his head repeatedly at Ryan Will’s words.

On the way to the training ground from the main building.

Seo-jun said to Jonathan.

“Oh, by the way. Jonathan. I watched your movie. Congratulations on the award.”

It seemed like yesterday when he heard that he became independent, but director Jonathan Will had already improved his skills enough to win an award at a film festival.

He congratulated him on the phone during the awards ceremony, but he wanted to say it in person.

Jonathan shrugged his shoulders at Seo-jun’s congratulations.

“Thanks. But it’s just a nomination, nothing much.”

But he couldn’t hide his joy, as his lips curled up.

Ryan Will snorted at his dishonest nephew.

He knew how happy he was when Jonathan Will won the award. It was a huge fuss.

“But are you filming with us this time?”

Didn’t he say he was independent?

At Seo-jun’s question, Anh Da Ho also looked at Jonathan curiously.

Seo-jun and Anh Da Ho were surprised for a moment when they saw Jonathan Will in the conference room.

They were more happy than surprised, though.

“Just this once. My uncle asked me to.”

“Director Ryan?”

When Seo-jun looked at him, Ryan Will, Jonathan’s uncle, coughed.

“…Yeah. It’s because Jonathan is quite good.”

“What do you mean good? You just think I’m easy to exploit.”

At Jonathan’s words, Seo-jun and Anh Da Ho smiled and looked at Ryan Will.

They asked him if it was true with their eyes.

Ryan Will rolled his eyes and looked away.

“I don’t choose someone just because they are comfortable…”

At his uncle’s compliment for the first time, Jonathan’s eyes widened.

He always wondered if he was doing well after becoming independent, but this one sentence cleared all his doubts.

Director Ryan Will chose him to participate in the filming of Shadowman 3 because director Jonathan Will was doing well.

Ryan Will turned his gaze back to the group and stroked the heads of his nephew who had grown up and the actor who had grown up.

***

The time of praise passed and a subtle silence flowed.

The actor, the master, and the young director felt awkward at the long silence, when Anh Da Ho, who had been a step away from the awkward atmosphere, opened his mouth.

There was a smile on Anh Da Ho’s face.

“Shall we move on?”

“Let’s do that.”

“Yes!”

“This way!”

As if they had been waiting for those words, they all answered at once and finally had to laugh.

=22 I want to see it but I don’t want to see it too.

-It’s been almost 10 years. I watched Shadowman 1 when I was in middle school and now I’m a college student.

-The beginning of superstar Lee Seo-jun is Shadowman after all.

-I still remember how surprised I was when I saw the cookie video, but it’s already the last one.
