Chapter 229

Thursday, 6 a.m.

The vehicles carrying the staff of Shadowman 3 arrived at the parking lot of Gyeongbokgung Palace.

The staff, wearing thick padding, and the Korean staff who helped with the filming in Korea got out of several cars.

“Move quickly!”

“Where’s the drone?”

“Lights over here! Put a mat under it and secure it!”

They had to prepare the set early in the morning because they only had time to shoot in the morning, and they had to be more careful because the filming location was a cultural heritage site.

The staff paid attention not to leave any scratches on the floor.

Of course, the intense battle scenes were planned to be filmed separately at the ‘Gyeongbokgung Palace set’ built in LA.

Vroom.

The drones flying high in the sky filmed the serene palaces without any tourists or staff.

The cultural heritage officials who came out early in the morning to manage Gyeongbokgung Palace and assist with the filming admired the rising drones.

Ryan, the director who came with the staff, was checking out various places of Gyeongbokgung Palace with a camera-mounted drone with the drone director.

They discussed in detail how to shoot the palace when the sun rises and how to move the drone.

Jonathan, the assistant director, listened to Ryan’s words and took notes in his notebook.

“Are you going to drop a spaceship here?”

A cultural heritage official who was wandering around Ryan’s vicinity looking for something to help said that and peeked at the monitor that Jonathan’s finger was pointing at.

He saw a familiar building.

‘Wow. The kitchen!’

The kitchen behind Geunjeongjeon on the right was where the palace maids made food.

…Is Natra’s spaceship going to fall here? The cultural heritage official’s eyes shook.

Ryan, who was looking at the monitor, nodded his head.

“Yeah. This is where it falls first and then we’ll drop it in the pond. We’ll break this place a bit.”

“Yes!”

The pond that Ryan mentioned was the pond behind Geunjeongjeon on the left, and the place he said to break was Sujeongjeon right next to Geunjeongjeon.

The cultural heritage official who imagined Gyeongbokgung Palace collapsing in Ryan’s words finally realized that Gyeongbokgung Palace was really appearing in a blockbuster movie.

“Is there any more place to break…”

Of course, he didn’t mean to really break it, but the cultural heritage official who was listening behind Jonathan and Ryan shivered at their fierce conversation.

He couldn’t imagine how Gyeongbokgung Palace would look like in Shadowman 3.

“Ready, action!”

Bell Natra’s spaceship landed on the ground as if it crashed.

The ticket office inside Gwanghwamun Gate was crushed by the spaceship.

Fortunately, due to the commotion in Gwanghwamun Square, the staff and tourists had evacuated.

“Damn…!”

A blue light rose above Geunjeongjeon. Bell Natra and Shadowman jumped out of the spaceship without hesitation as the wormhole generator started working.

Outside were Natra’s knights and soldiers. Shadowman and Bell Natra knocked down the knights and soldiers who rushed at them without hesitation, passed through Heungnyemun Gate, crossed Yeongjegyo Bridge, and entered Geunjeongmun Gate.

Geunjeongjeon.

Jin Natra and the wormhole generator were on top of the stairs.

“Jin!”

Bell Natra tried to shout when he found Jin Natra, but he noticed something.

The black branch-like pattern that was barely visible now covered half of Jin Natra’s cheek, spreading over his entire left cheek, reaching his left eye and forehead.

“Jin, your face…!”

Bell Natra was shocked. What is that?!

While Bell Natra was flustered by Jin Natra’s face, Shadowman stepped forward.

Above their heads, Natra’s spaceships were attacking each other.

A fallen spaceship crashed into Gyeonghoeru Pond, causing a splash of water.

“Really,”

Shadowman said with difficulty.

“Do you really want to destroy both Earth and Natra?”

Jin Natra laughed.

“Yes.”

Jin Natra didn’t stop injecting energy into the wormhole generator while he spoke.

The black vein that covered a quarter of Jin Natra’s face slowly grew longer.

A black shadow flickered behind Jin Natra, who raised his hand over the wormhole generator.

“Jin Natra!!!”

Shadowman’s voice echoed through Geunjeongjeon.

He wanted to save him.

He really wanted to save him.

Shadowman clenched his teeth and pulled out a spear from the shadow.

And,

He realized that stopping him now was ultimately saving him.

Shadowman ran towards Jin Natra. Natra’s knights blocked his way.

Shadowman knocked down the knights who tried to stop him while Jin Natra successfully created a wormhole.

A blue flame shot from the wormhole generator and opened a gap.

It was Natra’s ice desert.

The gap that opened slightly quickly grew in size.

Jin Natra’s eyes sparkled as he looked at the second wormhole that had grown as big as the one in Paris.

“Stop right now!”

Shadowman ran towards Jin Natra, pushing away the knights.

Jin Natra, who had successfully created a wormhole while the knights bought him time, didn’t stay still either.

He created a spear from the shadow and jumped over the wormhole generator.

He aimed at Shadowman, who was at the bottom of the stairs of Geunjeongjeon, without any hesitation.

Jin Natra stabbed down at Shadowman with a sharp spear.

Shadowman raised his spear to block Jin Natra’s attack.

Bang!

The sound of the two spears colliding was unbelievably loud.

The impact caused a gust of wind.

The sand on the stone floor of Geunjeongjeon was swept away by the wind in an instant.

Meanwhile, Natra’s spaceships were still attacking each other.

The spaceships hit by laser guns fell onto the palace and the wall.

Bell Natra ran to the wormhole generator with a scholar who had told him about Jin Natra’s plan in a babble.

“Remove the Time Stone quickly!”

“Yes, yes!”

He felt the shock wave of Shadowman and Jin Natra fighting.

Bell Natra blocked the knights while the scholar stood in front of the wormhole generator, trembling.

“Here, here you put the Time Stone…”

It wasn’t there.

The Time Stone piece that should have been shining brightly should have been here.

“…It’s not here…”

“What? What do you mean?”

“…The Time Stone is gone.”

The scholar’s pupils shook.

“Then… how is that thing moving?”

Bell Natra’s voice trembled as he looked at the wormhole showing its majesty above the Eastern palace.

“Stop it now!”

“Well. That’s hard for me too.”

Shadowman and Jin Natra’s fight became more intense.

They had been attacking each other with long spears through the window, but as they got closer, the spears turned into swords.

The sharp blades aimed at each other.

But Jin Natra did not target vital spots like the neck or heart directly.

Shadowman found a glimmer of hope in his hesitation.

The two sharp blades clashed.

As they got close enough to see each other’s pupils, Shadowman opened his mouth in a hoarse voice. He knew when these black eyes used to sparkle.

“Let’s go back to our parents, even now.”

“…”

Clang!

Shadowman dodged Jin Natra’s sword that came down with more force than before.

Jin Natra’s sword fell to the stone floor.

The stones on the floor shattered.

“I’ll explain everything.”

Bang!

The swords collided and created sparks.

“Our parents are waiting for you.”

The two people who had distanced themselves from each other naturally turned their swords into spears again.

Jin Natra swung his long spear and attacked Shadowman.

“And… Tull Natra misses you a lot.”

Did he even hear him?

Jin Natra did not stop his attack despite Shadowman’s words.

The fight between Shadowman and Jin Natra became more intense, and the stones that were set up in the palace were swept away.

Bell Natra and the scholar tried to destroy the machine or stop the energy injection somehow.

Bang! Crash!

Bell Natra’s sword hit the wormhole generator.

“Why, did, they, make, it, so, sturdy…!”

“…Jin did. Until it wouldn’t break.”

The scholar recalled the time when he and his colleagues worked hard to make a very sturdy wormhole generator while shedding tears.

“Find the energy source quickly!”

“Yes!”

As they continued their fierce attack and defense, Jin Natra suddenly staggered.

That was when Shadowman’s troublemaker shadow made a move.

Crash!

Jin Natra, who couldn’t avoid Shadowman’s shadow attack that had a will of its own, was thrown back.

He had let his guard down because he thought Shadowman would never attack him strongly.

Jin Natra didn’t even dream that Shadowman’s shadow had a will of its own and could move differently from Shadowman’s thoughts.

Because of that, Jin Natra, who was hit hard, crashed into the wall.

The stones and tiles on the wall broke from the force of the attack. The wall collapsed.

Jin Natra’s body fell to the ground with it.

“Jin!”

“William!”

Bell Natra and Shadowman, who had stopped destroying the wormhole generator and were looking for the time stone with the scholar, shouted as if they were screaming. Surprised Shadowman quickly ran to Jin Natra.

That was when it happened.

A black shadow spread out like a wave from under Jin Natra’s body, who had lost consciousness.

The black shadow that swayed like a wave quickly increased its size.

It was a huge shadow that covered most of the palace floor and sky that had been messed up by the fight.

It was a pressure that made me unconsciously step back.

“What, what is this…?”

Bell Natra and the Natrains were shocked by the sight of the huge shadow they had never seen before.

This was something that even Tull Natra in his prime couldn’t do.

Shadowman, who had hardly seen other Natrains’ shadows, just thought that Jin Natra’s shadow was very strong and worried about Jin Natra’s condition.

The shadow of Shadowman, who had caused trouble, was startled and stuck to the ground.

Bell Natra, who was looking at the black shadow that covered the palace sky with a thoughtful face, shouted.

“…What have you done? Jin!”

“This is, this is…!”

The scholar, who had been staring at Jin Natra’s shadow that covered the palace sky with blank eyes, turned his head sharply.

It was towards the still-operating wormhole generator.

“No way…!”

“Jin! Are you okay?!”

When the scholar realized something, Bell Natra and Shadowman found Jin Natra getting up while shaking off the stones on his body.

As soon as Jin Natra regained consciousness, the black shadow that covered the palace floor and sky disappeared into Jin Natra as if it was sucked in.

Jin Natra took a deep breath as if he was swallowing his shadow and opened his mouth.

“…I’m going back.”

“Yes!”

Before Shadowman and Bell Natra could grab him, Jin Natra got on his spaceship.

Vroom.

Above the palace.

The wormhole connected to Natra was still operating.

“…Bell.”

The scholar called Bell Natra and Shadowman who were looking at Jin Natra’s departing spaceship.

“…I found out how to stop the wormhole.”

Shadowman and Bell Natra felt uneasy at the dark face of the scholar who had breathed a sigh of relief at the good news.

“Cut, OK!”

***

The same day in the afternoon.

The staff at the Gyeongbokgung Palace ticket office came to work late because of the filming of Shadowman 3.

“Can you believe that was the real Evan Block?”

“I couldn’t imagine it, even though I talked to him.”

Who would have expected that the Hollywood actors who came to Korea for the promotion of Assemble 2 and Lee Seo-jun would wear hanbok and visit Gyeongbokgung Palace?

The staff who had guided them then said with a regretful face.

“And I didn’t even know he spoke Korean so well back then.”

“Well, yeah.”

“But you’re the first Korean besides Lee Seo-jun to have a conversation with him in Korean, right?”

“That’s true.”

The staff who entered the ticket office and sat down at their seats prepared to work while chatting.

“I bet people will ask questions today.”

“Me too. Did you see Shadowman? Where did they film it?”

“Did you see Lee Seo-jun too? How long did he stay?”

It was the same when it was revealed that the Hollywood stars had visited Gyeongbokgung Palace during Assemble 2.

Some people made an ‘Assemble 2 course’ by looking at other people’s proof photos and videos of the actors on the internet and YouTube.

“Amazing. Our people.”

“Yeah.”

A little later.

The first customer who came to the ticket office said.

“Excuse me, did you see Shadowman?”

[Shadowman 3 filming in Korea. What is the promotional effect?]

[The blockbuster Shadowman 3 filming causes a stir]

– I knew this story would come up They always talk about economic effects for everything.

-Is it really that much of an economic effect from just a movie filming?

=Shadowman 3 is a worldwide release. If only 0.01% of those people come to travel, it’s a jackpot!

=222 There will be a lot of tourists.

-I went to Gyeongbokgung Palace today and I couldn’t tell where they filmed it.

=22 They must have installed cameras and lighting equipment, so I thought there would be some traces

=333 I expected some clues too. I searched everywhere but there was nothing.

=Even if there were traces, they would have been erased by people’s feet. There were so many people today.

=There were really a lot of people;;;
