Chapter 277

“Manager Anh!”

As soon as he left Seo-jun’s practice room and headed to the conference room on the first floor, one of the team 2 staff members ran towards him and Seo-jun.

It seemed that the lobby staff had informed not only Anh Da Ho but also the team 2 office about Seo-jun’s matter.

The team 2 staff member who ran quickly stopped next to Anh Da Ho and asked.

“Is there a PD named Park Gyu Min at MBS?”

“Yes. He is a PD affiliated with MBS and he will be joining the same project as PD Gong Hee Chan.”

That Park Gyu Min was from MBS was already confirmed by the lobby staff, but Anh Da Ho checked again.

There were people who came with fake IDs. Even if their goal was not Hollywood actor Lee Seo-jun, this place had amazing singers like Brown Black, White, and Red Crown.

“By ‘joining’, do you mean the four-part drama?”

“Yes. He is planning to shoot the thriller genre with PD Gong Hee Chan, who is his colleague from the same entrance year.”

The team 2 staff member read the banana talk messages that gathered all kinds of information in an instant.

The team 2 staff members who had put aside their other work for the sudden arrival of the broadcasting station PD were quickly contacting here and there to find out about PD Park Gyu Min.

The team 2 staff member who was reading the banana talk messages told Anh Da Ho, who was walking ahead, what he had found out.

‘Wow.’

Seo-jun admired the professional manager and staff.

He had never seen them like this when they worked with him, but they seemed to be working like this when Seo-jun was not looking.

‘It’s probably because Da Ho hyung moves like he’s not there when he’s with me.’

That didn’t mean he didn’t support him. He prepared everything in advance and stepped back one step to observe the situation without disturbing the filming crew and actors.

He was a cool manager.

Seo-jun followed Anh Da Ho with a bright smile.

“I heard that the PDs have a good reputation. They do their work on time and are diligent.”

“But…”

“But?”

At Anh Da Ho’s question, the team 2 staff member read the banana talk messages further down.

Seo-jun, who was following behind, pricked up his ears.

“The ratings from the assistant directors or staff are not so good. Especially, the ratings from the supporting actors and child actors are bad.”

“I see.”

People who treated their superiors well but looked down on their subordinates.

It was a type that could be easily encountered in social life, but it was a bit different if child actors were involved.

Anh Da Ho frowned slightly.

“And they have a filming tomorrow.”

“A filming?”

Seo-jun asked as he got on the elevator with Anh Da Ho and the team 2 staff member. The team 2 staff member nodded and opened his mouth.

“Yeah. The project that they are joining starts filming tomorrow. They already have everything from staff to actors ready, so I don’t know why they came here. It doesn’t seem like they came to cast Seo-jun.”

“I wonder why they came.”

Anh Da Ho and Seo-jun tilted their heads.

Ding dong.

The elevator arrived at the first floor. Anh Da Ho, who got off the elevator, told Seo-jun.

“Seo-jun, you stay here.”

“Can’t I go in with you?”

“We don’t even know why they came, so no. I’ll go in and let you know.”

He didn’t mind if it was a good story, but if it was a bad one, he planned to filter it out and tell Seo-jun.

Seo-jun nodded at Anh Da Ho’s serious expression.

“Then I’ll go to the basement practice room.”

“Don’t scare the trainees too much.”

“It’s okay. They’re all from our school, right? Just think of it as making friends in advance.”

Anh Da Ho smiled faintly as he thought of Mirinae’s new and current students who would be in the basement practice room.

Unlike the trainees who burst into cheers like screams when Seo-jun went to the basement practice room, the atmosphere in the conference room where Anh Da Ho and PD Park Gyu Min were was heavy.

“I’m Anh Da Ho, Lee Seo-jun’s manager.”

“I’m Park Gyu Min, a PD from MBS drama department.”

The two briefly greeted each other and sat down.

Anh Da Ho looked over PD Park Gyu Min. He was quite confident for someone who barged in suddenly, but Anh Da Ho’s eyes turned cold. However, he soon asked with a smiling face.

“So what brings you here?”

“I heard that Lee Seo-jun is going to appear in our broadcasting station’s drama.”

Anh Da Ho pretended not to know anything about Park Gyu Min and responded appropriately to his words.

“Oh, yes. He is planning to do that. You seem to know about it too, PD.”

“Yes. But when I found out, I was so absurd that I had no choice but to come here like this.”

PD Park Gyu Min shook his head as if he couldn’t believe it.

“Our Lee Seo-jun is only doing a four-part drama! He should do at least 24 episodes. If you leave it to me, I can make it 24 episodes, or at least a 16-episode mini-series. It’s his first drama appearance in seven years, so he should show his face more!”

“Hmm. A 16-episode series?”

Anh Da Ho’s reaction seemed positive, so PD Park Gyu Min continued.

“Besides, he’s going to be an adult soon, so he needs to change his image well. A drama with more popularity than a movie that only some people watch will help change people’s perception of him. He needs to prepare from now on. There are many actors who failed to grow as adult actors because their child actor image remained. Oh, of course, I don’t mean Lee Seo-jun.”

Anh Da Ho’s eyes twitched slightly as he smiled.

“I heard that he is playing the male lead’s child role. He’s not even the main character, but the male lead’s child role. How can that be for Lee Seo-jun, who has been playing the main roles until now? I don’t know who chose it, but really. I’ll talk to the writer and have it changed to a different character.”

Lee Seo-jun himself chose it.

‘If they put in a different character, they would have to rewrite the whole work, wouldn’t they?’

Anh Da Ho thought for a moment and opened his mouth.

“Wouldn’t that delay the broadcast in April?”

“We can film it quickly.”

PD Park Gyu Min said that as if Anh Da Ho nodded his head without giving any particular answer.

But Anh Da Ho’s inner thoughts were different from his outward appearance that showed no reaction.

He didn’t like the tone of ‘filming’ or the word ‘quickly’.

It was probably because of his actor who loved filming the most.

Anh Da Ho’s evaluation of Park Gyu Min hit rock bottom.

“What about PD Gong Hee Chan, who is in charge of the drama now?”

“Does a drama get canceled in a day or two? It changes if they say so from above. I’m better than PD Gong Hee Chan. I have everything planned out. I’ll catch him coolly if Lee Seo-jun comes out.”

“I see.”

He said all kinds of things, but his purpose was one.

Anh Da Ho sent PD Park Gyu Min back with a proper response. PD Park Gyu Min had a good feeling somehow at Lee Seo-jun’s manager who never lost his smile.

Seo-jun, who had just come up from the basement practice room laughing and chatting with the trainee hyungs, saw PD Park Gyu Min’s happy back and asked Anh Da Ho.

“What did he come for?”

“Hmm.”

Anh Da Ho’s smile deepened.

“Somehow, Seo-jun became the eye of the storm.”

The eye of the storm was peaceful as usual, but the surroundings were noisy.

Seo-jun tilted his head as Anh Da Ho told him PD Park Gyu Min’s intention.

“He wants to direct ‘Spring’?”

Spring was the tentative title of the drama that PD Gong Hee Chan was directing and Seo-jun was starring in. Seo-jun blinked.

“Didn’t he say he has a filming going on right now?”

“That’s because Seo-jun is not there. How amazing would it be if Seo-jun appeared in his debut work. That’s why he must be thinking of stealing the director’s position.”

Seo-jun frowned at Anh Da Ho’s words.

“Can you change that as you please?”

“You are the boss here, Seo-jun. Who wouldn’t listen to you if you say you prefer Park Kyu Min over Gong Hee Chan as the director? Especially when he’s not a famous or experienced director, but a newbie.”

Anh Da Ho’s smile deepened.

“Besides, if you extend the four-episode drama to 24 episodes, the broadcasting station would be happy and you would also like having more scenes, right?”

At those words, Seo-jun understood the situation and turned his head to look at Anh Da Ho.

Brother Da Ho. He was smiling, but it didn’t seem like he was happy or pleased. It was the first time he saw this side of him.

“Our Seo-jun is not the type to hesitate over the amount of scenes. He said he would generously extend it to 16 episodes? Our Seo-jun can captivate the viewers with just one scene. And image transformation? Do you think Seo-jun can’t do that? Why are you so careless about the most important filming? It seems like you’ve been belittling Seo-jun since a while ago… Is it just me or…”

Anh Da Ho muttered in a low voice, and Seo-jun blinked his eyes.

‘Brother Da Ho. Are you angry?’

It was unfamiliar and fascinating to see him for the first time.

***

Park Kyu Min, who returned from Cocoa Entertainment, asked CP for the synopsis of ‘Spring’. Choi Hyun Woo, who was watching him, informed Gong Hee Chan.

Gong Hee Chan, who had a relapse of his trauma, tried to calm his trembling heart and called Park Kyu Min to the emergency exit.

“It’s good for you. You can do your thriller and I can do this.”

Park Kyu Min, who bragged about his story of going to Cocoa Entertainment, chuckled and shook the synopsis of ‘Spring’.

Kim Dan Bi and Choi Hyun Woo, who were shocked by his story, held their foreheads. This must have been Kim Dan Bi’s curse.

‘Don’t say anything from now on.’

‘…Okay.’

Kim Dan Bi reflected. She decided not to say anything about her intuition or anything else.

Meanwhile, Park Kyu Min continued his words.

“You can start filming right away since I prepared all the actors and staff according to your list. Wow. Gong Hee Chan. You can film comfortably thanks to me. Oh, and did they say they finished the script for episode 1? Let me see that. I have to prepare for filming too. And give me the writer’s number too.”

Gong Hee Chan, who was trying to calm down his breath, exploded.

“You bastard!”

Gong Hee Chan, who thought he was lucky and naive, couldn’t help but get angry this time.

Park Kyu Min tried to shake off Gong Hee Chan’s hand that grabbed his collar, but Gong Hee Chan’s strength was stronger as he got more emotional.

Park Kyu Min cursed as he felt his collar being grabbed.

“Isn’t it because you’re incompetent that you casted Seo-jun and only made a four-episode drama? And a child actor? Seo-jun is a child actor? Hey. People passing by would laugh. You should have persuaded the actor to change his role.”

“So you barged into Cocoa Entertainment?!”

“Barged in? That’s a bit harsh.”

Park Kyu Min’s words made Kim Dan Bi, who was hiding behind him, grab her neck. Choi Hyun Woo tried hard to calm Kim Dan Bi down.

“It’s a sacrifice. A sacrifice. Don’t you think it would be better for everyone if you increase the amount of episodes from four to 16, no, 24? The broadcasting station would be happy and so would the actor.”

“Do you think I don’t know what you’re saying outside…!”

Gong Hee Chan gritted his teeth.

“Look. Seo-jun’s manager said he would think about it too. It’s his first drama appearance in seven years. It would be much better than a four-episode drama. If he suddenly appears in a low-quality four-episode drama, his image would be bad too.”

“Are you crazy?! When did Seo-jun ever fall behind!”

Gong Hee Chan looked at Park Kyu Min as if he was looking at a madman. What kind of image did he have of Seo-jun in his head?

He couldn’t believe it and lost his strength in his hand that grabbed Park Kyu Min’s collar. Park Kyu Min straightened his clothes and said.

“Seo-jun was a great actor until now. But he’s going to be an adult soon. If he can’t properly transform his image as a child actor, it’s over for him. Do you know how many child actors who were called geniuses disappeared? Do you think Seo-jun won’t be like that? He only has a few years left until he becomes an adult. You have to film him before he loses the bait of being a Hollywood actor.”

Uh.

Gong Hee Chan grabbed his neck at Park Kyu Min’s words.

Park Kyu Min thought that Seo-jun would not succeed as an adult actor. He believed that his prediction was certain and looked at Gong Hee Chan.

“…You’re insane.”

Gong Hee Chan left Park Kyu Min at the emergency exit and returned to his seat. He decided to find a solution first. He was more anxious when he heard that Seo-jun’s manager had a good reaction.

‘Should I go to Cocoa Entertainment too? No, I don’t think I should… Then maybe I should ask the writer to convey my words to So Eun Jin. But what if Park Kyu Min really takes over?’

Anyway.

He should have hit that crazy bastard.

Gong Hee Chan, who was groaning in pain, was different from Park Kyu Min, who postponed filming for a few days and was at peace.

If he brought Seo-jun and made a 24-episode drama, he would be a hero of the drama department and his future would be bright.

That’s when it happened.

“Gong Hee Chan!! Park Kyu Min!!”

The director’s scream echoed in the MBS drama department office.

Gong Hee Chan, who was tearing his hair out trying to find a solution, and Park Kyu Min, who was reading the synopsis of ‘Spring’, jumped up from their seats reflexively.

“What the hell did you do!”

The director’s face turned red with anger as he shouted with all his strength. All the employees in the office shrugged their shoulders.

“Seo-jun said he won’t do it-!!”

Everyone in the office stopped breathing at the shocking news. It felt like their hearts stopped too. Gong Hee Chan and Park Kyu Min’s eyes shook.

“Come up to my office right now!!”

The director’s voice echoed loudly, and Kim Dan Bi and Choi Hyun Woo swallowed their dry saliva.

Park Kyu Min’s crazy act wasn’t the end of Kim Dan Bi’s curse.
