Chapter 286

Everyone realized what Seo-jun was explaining.

Seo-jun would grow up to become Park Do-hoon.

Of course, it was a difficult thing to do in reality, but it was not impossible if the character ‘Lee Hyun-sung’ became a bridge.

“But how is this possible?”

Yoon Hye-in asked without hiding her surprise.

“Um. To put it very simply, it’s like imitating or mimicking someone’s voice.”

Everyone looked at Seo-jun with a vague expression.

“Imitating or mimicking is also analyzing and practicing someone’s songs and catchphrases. I mean, things like vocalization, voice, timing, and intensity when singing. And some people are so good that you can’t tell who they are if they cover their faces.”

Everyone nodded at Seo-jun’s explanation.

Come to think of it, there was a show that started a few weeks ago that was like that. It was a show where ordinary people who could imitate singers and singers who were hidden had to find the singers.

“But your voice was different, right?”

“Everything else was the same except for the voice. I guess it’s because I have to act as Lee Hyun-sung himself, not as Do-hoon hyung’s Lee Hyun-sung.”

“Can you only do Lee Hyun-sung?”

“No. I can do Choi Yoo-won too, but I’m still working on it… I still need more practice for Lee Hyun-sung besides this line.”

Seo-jun scratched his cheek and smiled, and everyone admired him.

He was only a child actor who had a small role in a six-part drama, with a writer and a PD who were new to the industry, but Seo-jun did not neglect his acting.

That’s why he showed such amazing acting.

The reading resumed after Seo-jun’s acting that surprised everyone.

Seo-jun’s acting that he spit out as an unfinished product was less impactful than before, but everyone nodded their heads involuntarily at the faint feeling of Lee Hyun-sung that they felt in it.

“Then we’ll end the script reading here. Thank you for your hard work.”

As PD Gong Hee-chan said, applause sounded in the conference room.

“Wow. My shoulders are all stiff.”

“I don’t think I’ve ever been this nervous during a reading.”

Everyone relaxed and stretched.

Since Seo-jun, who was the center of this drama, acted so seriously, they couldn’t relax for a moment after the reading resumed.

“Good job.”

The camera turned off and they started to get up from their seats and leave the conference room.

Jung Bo-ram, who was sitting next to Seo-jun, who was organizing the script, asked him.

“Can you teach me how to do child acting?”

Seo-jun’s words caught the ears of those who hadn’t left yet.

Seo-jun thought for a moment and opened his mouth.

“The way I do it takes some time, so I’ll teach you another way.”

The way Seo-jun did it was to capture the atmosphere and acting of the ‘actor playing the character’ and digest it as his own.

It was a time-consuming method for most actors.

‘It will take too long for Bo-ram… And I’m not sure if it will work well.’

Seo-jun, who was cold-hearted about acting, thought of another way.

“Another way?”

“You make a common habit between the adult and child roles. For example, walking with your right foot first or covering your mouth when you laugh. Or you can laugh while clapping. Eating your favorite side dish first is also possible. Of course, everything has to be based on what the character ‘Kim Seo-yeon’ would do.”

Jung Bo-ram tilted her head.

“Would such small things be noticeable?”

“That’s why you have to think of habits that are natural but also catch the viewers’ eyes.”

“…That sounds hard.”

Seo-jun nodded at Jung Bo-ram’s words.

“It is hard. Even if it’s the same habit, different people have different feelings. Some people brush their hair quickly, while others brush it slowly two or three times.”

It was really amazing how detailed he was.

This was how he came up with the ‘perfect Lee Hyun-sung junior’ earlier.

Yoon Hye-in, who had been thinking for a while, looked at Jung Bo-ram.

“Do you want to try?”

“Huh?”

“He’s going to show such amazing acting over there, we can’t just be buried like this. We have to try something. Don’t you think?”

Jung Bo-ram smiled brightly at Yoon Hye-in’s words.

“Yes!”

“Then let’s analyze the character right away. Writer Yoo! Can I ask you later?”

“Of course, that’s fine! Ask me anything.”

Writer Yoo Cheong-ah smiled brightly and nodded her head repeatedly. She had no reason not to help the actors who were working hard for the work.

As they left the conference room and headed to the lobby on the first floor, Park Do-hoon asked Seo-jun.

“Seo-jun, do you want to eat something?”

“Yes. Sure.”

Kang Tae-young looked at Park Do-hoon and Seo-jun with envious eyes.

Park Do-hoon laughed at his sour expression.

“Do you want to join us, Tae-young?”

“Thank you! Oh, please speak casually!”

“Okay. Just call me hyung.”

“Yes! Hyung!”

Park Do-hoon and Seo-jun burst into laughter at Kang Tae-young’s bright answer.

=22 He didn’t come?

=No, he came too early. He came earlier than the reporters, so he couldn’t do an interview

-I can understand Kang Tae-young

=Why?

=Kang Tae-young is a rookie. A real rookie

=He’s been a rookie since elementary school. There are posts about him from when he was a rookie in the cafe.

-Are you a fanboy

=I know, right. How did you meet him?

-Did you go too early because you were excited?

=I can relate. I would have been waiting since the day before.

=222 I would have camped out there

-Making film! That sounds fun!

=I’m curious how Seo-jun does the script reading.

-Will he be cute this time too?

=He has experience now, so he’ll be cool.

=22 He has more experience than anyone else, right?

***

The filming of ‘Spring Has Returned’ began.

Staff members were busy moving around the indoor set.

Kang Tae-young, who had just entered the set, spotted Seo-jun sitting a little away.

He ran over to Seo-jun with a bright face.

“Hi, Seo-jun!”

“Hello, hyung.”

Seo-jun smiled and greeted Kang Tae-young.

“Don’t you have a shoot today, Tae-young hyung?”

“I came anyway because it’s PD Gong’s first shoot. He seemed very nervous. So I brought him some calming pills. How about you, Seo-jun? How’s your practice going?”

“It got better after watching you practice, hyung. But the most important thing is the acting during the shoot, so I’m going to come and watch every day from today.”

“Really?”

Kang Tae-young smiled brightly at the thought of seeing Seo-jun every day he filmed.

His face showed his feelings and Seo-jun laughed.

“Then do you want to go eat something after the shoot?”

“Yes. Sure.”

“You two came early, huh?”

They turned their heads at the familiar voice.

Park Do-hoon, who was filming today, was standing there.

“Welcome, Do-hoon hyung.”

“Sit here.”

Park Do-hoon smiled and sat next to Seo-jun.

“What were you talking about?”

“Seo-jun said he’s going to come and watch our acting every day.”

“Really? That makes me nervous.”

Seo-jun and Kang Tae-young laughed at Park Do-hoon’s pretense.

Park Do-hoon looked at Yoon Hye-in and Jung Bo-ram talking in the distance.

“They must be having a hard time.”

“I guess so. It must be hard to balance between the habits and the emotional acting. If they focus on the habits, they might lose the emotions. If they get immersed in the emotions, they might not act according to the habits.”

“It’s easy for us because Seo-jun takes care of everything… I feel a bit sorry.”

Park Do-hoon agreed with Kang Tae-young’s words.

It was an acting that he wanted to try once as an actor, creating a character with a child actor.

“But there’s nothing we can do about it.”

Seo-jun was mixing ‘Lee Hyun-sung’ and ‘Choi Yoo-won’ in his acting.

If Park Do-hoon and Kang Tae-young interfered awkwardly, it would ruin everything.

“I’ll have to try it next time I get a role with a child actor.”

“Me too. It sounds hard but I think it will be good acting.”

Seo-jun smiled at Park Do-hoon and Kang Tae-young’s words.

He liked people who worked hard.

Especially if they were actors.

“Then let’s start shooting!”

The set became busy again at assistant director Kim Dan-bi’s words.

***

That’s how the filming of ‘Spring Has Returned’ continued in the modern part,

And finally, it was Seo-jun’s first shooting day.

Seo-jun’s first shooting location was a bus stop, where they deliberately chose a place where people didn’t come often.

Staff members were busy setting up cameras at the bus stop.

A bus came from afar.

Kim Dan-bi checked the bus number and shouted.

“The bus is here!”

“We’ll set up the lights!”

“Camera!”

The bus stopped in front of the bus stop and staff members got on for shooting inside the bus.

PD Gong Hee-chan and writer Yoo Cheong-ah’s eyes were busy watching the staff move quickly.

“There should be no flaws. They’re already making a fuss because we signed a contract with Plus+.”

“Can’t we edit them out if they show up?”

Writer Yoo Cheong-ah asked and PD Gong Hee-chan smiled bitterly and said.

“You don’t notice them now, but they won’t be easy to spot when editing either. You have to be careful even when monitoring later.”

“I see.”

Writer Yoo Cheong-ah blinked and looked around the set.

It was her first work in her life and it was going abroad through Plus+.

She wanted to make a flawless drama that would stay in her career for a lifetime.

“The water truck is here!”

Kim Dan-bi’s shout was heard.

The lighting director scratched his head and asked assistant director Choi Hyun-woo.

“Didn’t he say he wouldn’t talk about good or bad anymore?”

“Yes. He got burned once, no, three times.”

He lost his work to PD Park Gyu-min once, he heard that Seo-jun was cast twice, and he almost lost his work to PD Park Gyu-min again for the third time.

“Ah, Park Gyu-min?”

“…How did you know?”

Choi Hyun-woo’s eyes widened at the lighting director’s words.

Wasn’t that rumor not spread?

“Park Gyu-min had a thriller, right? Tomorrow. Everyone over there knows, right? Well, not many, but still. People who are sensitive to rumors know it all.”

“Wow… It’s really small here.”

It seemed that Park Gyu-min had told his acquaintances and it spread.

‘Well, he was talking about it openly in the emergency exit.’

“That’s good. It’s not his fault, but if he keeps saying things like that, you can’t help but resent him. I almost had a heart attack when the lighting equipment fell last time.”

“Oh, right. It almost hit actor Kang Tae-young, right?”

The lighting director shuddered at Choi Hyun-woo’s words.

“It would have been a disaster if the actor who hit it big in the previous work got injured in his next work. Luckily, PD Gong saved him. Did PD Gong get hurt then?”

“Yes. But he recovered quickly.”

“I was grateful for that, so I introduced him to writer Yoo… “

The lighting director looked at the actors.

The female leads, Yoon Hye-in and Jung Bo-ram.

The male leads, Park Do-hoon and Kang Tae-young.

“Who would have thought it would be such a hit.”

And there was Hollywood star Lee Seo-jun.

***

“Let’s start shooting!”

The staff and actors moved at assistant director Choi Hyun-woo’s voice.

The extras looked nervous as they stood there and Seo-jun, who had changed into a school uniform, held an umbrella tightly.

Yoon Hye-in, who was sitting on the bus, immersed herself in ‘Kim Seo-yeon’s’ emotions.

“Ready,”

PD Gong Hee-chan’s voice trembled.

It wasn’t his imagination that his voice was more tense than usual.

He seemed more nervous than on the first day of shooting.

Writer Yoo Cheong-ah and the staff held their breaths and waited for the shooting to start.

They sometimes got used to watching the actors’ acting as their job, but today was different.

At the ready sound, the water truck started working.

Artificial rain fell from the sky.

The bus and the bus stop got wet from the rain.

“Action!”

On a rainy day.

Kim Seo-yeon was on the bus.

She had to work until the weekend.

She would have called her friend and cursed her boss if it were normal, but she didn’t have the energy to get angry anymore.

She felt more depressed on such a listless day when it rained.

Kim Seo-yeon, who was sitting by the window on the sidewalk side, looked out the window with lifeless eyes.

The people passing by with umbrellas looked colorless to her.

Her ears were dull as if they were submerged in darkness.

She couldn’t even hear the sound of rain anymore.

It was one of those times when she wanted to close her eyes and forget everything.

The bus that Kim Seo-yeon was on stopped at a bus stop.

She saw a boy and a girl standing at the bus stop.

The bus door opened and only the girl with an umbrella got on the bus.

She looked young and seemed to be a student.

The girl waved her hand as she looked out the window.

The boy with an umbrella outside followed the girl who was walking to the back of the bus to find an empty seat.

He didn’t take his eyes off her as he walked towards Kim Seo-yeon’s side.

The two students smiled without stopping.

They seemed to be reluctant to part as they waved their hands and greeted each other.

The boy’s bright yellow umbrella shook in front of Kim Seo-yeon’s eyes as a result.

For a moment, yellow light spread from the tip of the umbrella to the colorless world.

The wind blew.

The boy tilted his umbrella to block the rain coming in from the side.

The tilted umbrella blocked the boy’s figure from Kim Seo-yeon’s sight.

She didn’t know why.

Kim Seo-yeon couldn’t take her eyes off the umbrella.

The yellow umbrella that hid the boy slowly lifted its head towards Kim Seo-yeon.

Color began to appear in the colorless world around the umbrella.

The boy’s clothes changed from casual clothes to a school uniform because it was a weekend.

Kim Seo-yeon remembered where she had seen that uniform before.

The yellow umbrella slowly lifted its head.

A smooth chin.

Soft lips curled up.

Flushed cheeks.

A straight nose.

And warm eyes that were brighter than sunlight.

Underneath the yellow umbrella,

A boy in love smiled brightly like a newly bloomed flower.
