Chapter 304

C Save acted quickly.

“Time is life! We have to move it while it’s still holding on!”

“Yes!”

Kate swiftly checked the whale’s condition.

It took time to get there by boat.

It might have been a long time for a baby humpback whale, even if it was not a large adult.

They were lucky that people helped them and bought them some time.

‘But it doesn’t look like it’s having too much trouble breathing.’

It was a miracle.

“There seems to be a wound on its belly.”

“On its belly?”

Kate turned around at the sudden voice.

A boy with a black hat and wet clothes spoke with a worried, but relieved face.

“It looked like the whale was moving a bit strangely earlier.”

“I see.”

‘That’s not something you can tell by just looking…’

Especially for an animal like a whale, which ordinary people rarely see, it was not easy to grasp its movements so well.

Kate Ohass nodded her head as she thought so.

“Okay. I’ll be careful when I move it.”

“Yes. Please save it.”

The boy soon went into the crowd.

He was a boy who left a strange impression.

Meanwhile, the team members returned the towels that covered the whale to the people.

Some of them took out a large special cloth from the boat and wrapped the whale with it.

And finally, they sprinkled water on the whale. One of the team members asked the people.

“Can you help us lift its tail?”

“Yes.”

The people nodded their heads.

The documentary PD continued filming the unexpected good scene.

It was a scene that could be used for both news and documentary.

“One, two!”

While the people lifted the whale’s tail, a C Save team member wrapped a band around the part closest to its body.

There was a sturdy ring attached to the end of the band.

C Save used the people’s strength to wrap bands around the tail, both fins, and the head of the whale.

Then they connected new ropes to the iron rings at the ends of the four bands.

While checking the whale and giving instructions, Kate explained to the people who had worked hard to save the whale.

“Now we’re going to tie ropes to the rings on the bands and connect them to that boat over there and pull it towards the water. It won’t put too much pressure on the whale.”

The people sighed in relief at C Save’s perfect treatment. Kate smiled slightly and picked up the radio.

“Jess! Get ready to pull as soon as you connect the ropes!”

-Roger!

“Everyone, please step back!”

Under C Save’s instructions, no one stood in a straight line between the whale and the sea.

But around it, people began to fill up. People who came after watching YouTube, people who came after hearing stories.

People flocked to see the whale returning to the sea.

Seo-jun and Jack exchanged glances at the increasing number of people.

Some people looked at Seo-jun differently.

He seemed to have left quite an impression by sending his drone to help the whale.

Seo-jun said to Susan, who had lent him a beach mat.

Jack also greeted the people who had brought buckets with him.

“Thanks for the mat.”

“You’re not going to watch until the end?”

The people who had helped from the beginning looked at Seo-jun and Jack. J

un smiled and said.

“Yes. It’s been too long.”

“I see. You guys did a great job too.”

“Thank you for your hard work.”

As they shook hands with the people they had become close with in that short time, the boat moved.

The rope that had been slack between the boat and the whale tightened.

“Oh. It’s moving!”

The whale wrapped in cloth slowly moved towards the sea.

Seo-jun and Jack also moved towards the sea with C Save team members and people.

“Bye! Whale!”

“Be careful!”

The cheerful voices of children were heard sporadically. Some adults also said goodbye and took their last commemorative photos.

And finally, the whale’s body was completely submerged in water.

Wow!!

A cheer full of joy burst out from everyone, but soon subsided.

The whale that went into water did not move at all. It just slowly followed by rope. Everyone held their breaths and looked worriedly at it. Some children teared up.

“Is that okay?”

Jack, who was wiping his hair with a dry towel he couldn’t use earlier, walked backwards as he looked at sea.

Seo-jun also glanced back occasionally as he wrung out water from his T-shirt. T

he C Save rescue team leader seemed to remember Seo-jun’s words about wound on whale’s belly, as movement of whale was not very fast.

“Where did you park your car?”

“Over there in parking lot. Oh. It’s going into water.”

They came out of sand beach and went up road, they could still see whale from here.

Along with some spectators, Seo-jun and Jack watched it.

The whale slowly went into water.

Kate and C Save team members, and people also moved towards sea.

“Wow…!”

The tail that had been completely submerged in water, not covered by cloth, gently rose above water.

The whale was still small, but it was a whale.

Splash!

The tail made a loud noise as it hit water.

The spray of water made by whale’s tail collided with sunlight and sparkled in air.

Wow!!

Everyone, adults and children alike, cheered at that thank-you-like spray.

Seo-jun and Jack smiled broadly as they watched it from road.

“I’ll leave now,”

-Are you going to the center?

“Yes. It’s still a baby, so it needs to gain some strength before being released. There’s also a report that it has a wound on its belly, so I have to check that too.”

Kate O’Hass put down the radio and looked back.

People applauded as they saw Sea Save.

Kate smiled and said.

“It’s thanks to you who took care of the whale until we arrived. We couldn’t have saved that baby humpback whale without your help.”

“So that was a humpback whale.”

“I didn’t even know what kind of whale it was.”

Tom and his friend’s words made everyone nod with a smile.

The documentary camera captured the scene.

It was a tired look that didn’t match the beach for vacation, but it was more touching because of that.

“What will happen to the whale now?”

“It’s still a baby, so it will rest and recover at the Sea Save center for a few days. If it has any wounds, we’ll treat them too. Then it will return to the sea. We’ll find the best place for the humpback whale.”

“Sea Save center… Can anyone go there?”

Kate nodded at someone’s question.

The Sea Save center opened its doors to the public to encourage marine animal protection.

“Yes. The Sea Save center is open for tours, so you can see it if you come during the tour hours.”

“Mom! Let’s go!”

“Why not?”

They couldn’t miss seeing the whale they had saved with their own hands.

As people were talking, Tom’s friend spoke up.

“Huh? Where did they go?”

Susan, who was untying the rope that tied the branches and beach mats, smiled and said.

“Oh, they left earlier. They said they had to go home because it was getting late.”

“Really? They worked the hardest… It’s a shame. I should have told them they could take a tour.”

Most people agreed with his friend’s words.

“Those kids?”

PD and Kate tilted their heads at the people’s reactions.

Susan folded the beach mat neatly and said proudly.

“They were the first ones to move when we saved the whale. They suggested making a shade and spraying water. If it weren’t for those kids who took the initiative, we would have been in a mess.”

“They were also amazing in stamina. They kept moving from when we found it until the rescue team arrived.”

“They were nice kids. They were like heroes.”

PD’s eyes sparkled.

The kids who moved first to save the whale.

They were more likely to attract people’s attention because they were not adults.

It seemed like a good scene to put in the documentary if he could interview those kids.

“Who are those kids,”

“Aaaah!”

Someone screamed.

It was Tom, who was carrying a bucket.

His friend, who was standing next to him, looked at him in surprise.

Tom didn’t notice the people’s eyes on him and shouted at his friend.

He looked like he had seen a ghost in broad daylight.

“It was Seo Seo-jun Lee!”

“…What? What are you talking about?”

“I remembered when you said hero! That kid! The one with the black hat!”

Tom was almost grabbing his friend’s collar now.

He had thought that the sparkling aura he saw when he was moved by the boy’s actions was an illusion of his eyes.

The handsome face that looked familiar and the soft voice that sounded familiar.

He was too busy saving the whale and he never imagined that he would see the superstar right next to him, saving the whale with him.

“It was Seo Seo-jun Lee! Jin Natra! Gray Viney! Go Ju Won!”

Tom’s voice echoed on Midman Beach.

Midman Beach seemed to stop for a moment.

Even if they didn’t know Seo Seo-jun Lee, they couldn’t help but know the names that followed.

Jin Natra, Gray Viney, Go Ju Won.

…!!

A silent shock descended on Midman Beach.

From Susan, who gave them the beach mat, to the people who were saving the whale with them right next to them.

The people who saw the boy with the black hat and talked to him opened their mouths wide enough to swallow an egg.

After a moment of silence, screams erupted everywhere.

“Oh my god…!”

“How did I not recognize him?!”

How could they not recognize his face under the hat!

“Seo Seo-jun Lee…! I’m a real fan…!”

“I mean, I knew he was in LA, but how did he show up so suddenly?!”

“Wow! Seo-jun saved a whale!”

From fans who regretted not recognizing their favorite star right in front of them, to people who were really surprised by the superstar’s sudden appearance, to people who took out their phones and told their family and friends that they met Seo Seo-jun Lee.

Midman Beach became noisy.

On the other hand, there were people who seemed to be in a different world.

The Sea Save and the documentary crew blinked their eyes at the situation they couldn’t understand.

“…Seo Seo-jun Lee is an actor, right?”

“That’s right. Why is he suddenly coming up?”

And Tom’s voice didn’t just echo on Midman Beach.

It was broadcasted to the whole world through YouTube channels that were live streaming the situation on Midman Beach.

-Seo Seo-jun Lee is here!!
