Chapter 318

Seo-jun-ri, who belonged to King’s Agency, expressed his willingness to star in a movie.

The planning team leader, who had contacted King’s Agency and set up a meeting date, said.

“Seo-jun-ri’s side also accepted it quite readily.”

Some actors had refused to modify the existing script due to Davis Garrett’s appearance, but Seo-jun-ri sent a positive answer shortly after receiving the script.

“Is it possible because he doesn’t know anything?”

He might have made an easy decision if he didn’t know Davis Garrett’s acting style.

The planning team leader scratched his chin and recalled whether he had informed King’s Agency that the script could be modified when he sent it.

“Maybe he heard from Evan Block or Rachel Hill? They both starred in Assemble 4 with Davis, so they would know his style.”

The staff’s words made the planning team leader nod.

“That could be possible. I hope it was a good story…”

The casting was uncertain until the contract was signed.

He hoped to set up the meeting date as soon as possible and that there would be no change of mind until then.

‘Well, there are times when it collapses even after writing the contract.’

He hoped that such a thing would not happen and checked the casting status.

The actor who had signed the contract and confirmed the casting, Davis Garrett.

The actor who had expressed his willingness to star, but had not yet written the contract, Seo-jun-ri.

The planning team leader smiled pleasantly at the names of the eternal hero of Marinesa and the most beloved villain of Marinesa.

“They must be quite upset in Marinesa.”

Seo-jun, wearing a black hat, moved to a private room following the staff’s guidance.

It was his regular meat restaurant, so the staff seemed to treat Seo-jun as ordinary as other customers. But he couldn’t completely hide his excited steps.

“Hi, Seo-jun!”

“Are you here?”

As Seo-jun entered the room, familiar people greeted him.

Lee Ji-seok, who was filming a movie these days, Park Do-hoon, Kim Jong-ho, who were on a break, and Lee Da-jin, who was starring in a drama.

“Hello!”

“Come on, sit here.”

“You worked hard to save the whale.”

Seo-jun smiled and took a seat opposite Lee Ji-seok at Park Do-hoon’s words.

“You hit a home run too! I never thought I’d see such a scene live!”

“I bought a uniform too! I brought it today, so please sign it for me, Seo-jun!”

Seo-jun burst into laughter at Lee Da-jin’s words as she tried to take out a uniform from her bag.

“Shall we grill some meat first? They say pork ribs are delicious today.”

Lee Ji-seok picked up tongs and put pork ribs on the grill over charcoal. Sizzle. The well-seasoned pork ribs were grilled crispy on the hot charcoal.

“Are you not doing an end-of-year performance this year?”

At Lee Da-jin’s question, everyone’s eyes sparkled except Seo-jun.

They liked watching Seo-jun’s works on screen, but the theater where they could feel the actor’s breath and presence was more attractive.

They looked like they would immediately go to Minari Academy as special lecturers if he said he would do an end-of-year performance.

Seo-jun laughed and said.

“I don’t think I can. I’m planning to shoot my next work.”

Unlike the planning team leader’s worry, he hadn’t even met or signed a contract yet, but Seo-jun was already full of thoughts of shooting.

He had been analyzing the script and creating the character he would play since two days after receiving and accepting the script.

He was more careful in character creation than usual because of Davis Garrett’s acting style.

“Next work?”

Park Do-hoon stopped his hand that was wrapping lettuce wraps.

“Was there any interesting script lately?”

If it was a work that Seo-jun liked, Park Do-hoon might have felt quite interested too, but there was no such work among the scripts that came into the company.

“I didn’t hear any rumors at all… If Seo-jun stars in it, it will be a big deal…”

Lee Ji-seok recalled while cutting well-cooked pork ribs with scissors. People were still buzzing about Seo-jun’s documentary. There was no sound of ‘C’ for his next work.

“Maybe he’s trying to keep it secret until the end like Escape?”

“Yeah. The impact was great as much as he hid it at first.”

Kim Jong-ho agreed with Lee Da-jin’s words as he drank cola.

Everyone stopped eating and focused on Seo-jun.

They knew best how good Seo-jun’s eyes were for scripts.

Seo-jun wrapped a lettuce wrap and ate it vigorously.

He felt that they were all passionate about acting as well.

“Seo-jun, just tell us a little bit.”

“Do you have a script? Can I read it?”

“Who is the director? What is the genre?”

“Who are you acting with?”

Seo-jun smiled and answered the questions from the actors.

“I’m acting with Davis Garrett.”

“…Huh?”

The four actors blinked their eyes at the sudden appearance of a foreign actor.

And a few seconds later.

Lee Da-jin and Park Do-hoon opened their eyes wide.

Lee Ji-seok and Kim Jong-ho also sighed with their mouths open.

“Don’t tell me your next work is… a Hollywood movie?!”

Lee Da-jin, who almost shouted without knowing, covered her mouth with both hands.

It was a closed room, but she thought someone might hear it.

“Yes.”

Another exclamation came out at Seo-jun’s answer.

“Hey, Seo-jun. If it’s Davis Garrett, it’s Redbone, right? Then are you shooting a hero movie?”

“Bro. Davis Garrett’s contract ended with Assemble 4, so he won’t be in it anymore.”

Kim Jong-ho answered Lee Ji-seok’s question.

“Didn’t Seo-jun’s contract end with Shadowman 3 too?”

“Well, he can make a new contract if he wants.”

Park Do-hoon and Lee Da-jin also looked puzzled.

They all seemed more interested in Seo-jun’s next work than the meat that was cooking on the grill.

Seo-jun laughed and said.

“It’s not a hero movie, it’s a disaster movie. The title is Survivors.”

“The title alone gives off a disaster vibe.”

The three actors nodded at Kim Jong-ho’s words.

“Survivors… Is it like Escape?”

“It’s a Hollywood movie, so the scale might be bigger. Bro.”

“A meteor collision or something?”

Everyone laughed at Lee Da-jin’s words.

“That’s too much.”

Lee Ji-seok moved the cooked meat to the side of the grill with tongs, laughing. Fortunately, it wasn’t burnt.

“But it’s not 0 percent.”

Lee Da-jin nodded repeatedly at Kim Jong-ho’s words.

“There are quite a few Hollywood movies set in space, so you never know. What do you think, Seo-jun? Am I right?”

Seo-jun shook his head vigorously with a smile at Lee Da-jin’s sparkling eyes.

“No.”

“Aw. No way.”

The meal, which had paused for a moment at the news of Seo-jun’s next work, resumed.

Seo-jun briefly explained his next work while munching on the cooked meat.

Park Do-hoon, who was listening with a nod, asked.

“Who is the director?”

“It’s his second commercial film. He has made a lot of independent films. The production company is Bear Round.”

“It’s not Marinesa.”

Everyone laughed without knowing at Park Do-hoon’s words.

It was because they thought it was a Marinesa film without knowing, since Seo-jun had debuted and built his career with the Shadowman series, which was a Marinesa film.

“They will need a lot of extras if the setting is a mall.”

Seo-jun nodded at Lee Ji-seok’s words.

“That’s why they are planning to hold auditions. They are going to find extras to appear in the background from around, but they are also looking for my character’s family. The roles of father and mother.”

“Then they will use Asian actors.”

“Yes. They have lines too.”

Kim Jong-ho’s eyes darkened at Seo-jun’s words.

Seo-jun and the three actors, who didn’t notice Kim Jong-ho’s appearance, chatted while eating.

The topic of the conversation moved from Seo-jun’s next work to Lee Ji-seok and Lee Da-jin, who were currently filming.

“Should I try it too?”

Everyone’s eyes were focused on one place at the sudden remark.

Kim Jong-ho, who seemed to be pondering something with a glass of soju in his hand, appeared.

“Huh? What are you going to do, bro?”

Lee Ji-seok tilted his head at Kim Jong-ho’s short remark.

“Audition.”

“Audition… Ah, audition judge? Uncle. Are you joining the next work?”

Kim Jong-ho scratched his cheek and said at Park Do-hoon’s question.

“No. I mean Seo-jun’s next work audition.”

“Seo-jun’s next work is…”

It’s a Hollywood movie.

“And if it’s an audition…”

It’s for Seo-jun’s family…?

Seo-jun and the three actors looked at Kim Jong-ho with blank eyes.

“Well, they are looking for Asian actors, right? I don’t know if they are acting in Korean or English, but I can speak some English too. And it might suit me better to speak awkward English according to my age. If not, I can learn pronunciation from Seo-jun and just spit it out. I can do dialects perfectly if I learn them. And I think I fit the age for Seo-jun’s father role too.”

Kim Jong-ho’s words got longer as he saw the four people’s eyes.

Only then did Seo-jun and the three people realize that Kim Jong-ho was serious.

They opened their mouths wide.

That reaction made Kim Jong-ho smile awkwardly and say.

“Hmm. Going to Hollywood at this age… Is it foolish?”

Seo-jun shook his head quickly.

Foolish?

“No way!”

Not at all!

Rather, it looked really cool.

Kim Jong-ho wasn’t just anyone, but one of the top actors in Korea.

It was a difficult thing to challenge a new place called Hollywood like other rookie actors from the audition.

If Seo-jun’s appearance was revealed, people’s attention would be focused, and even if he kept it secret as much as possible, there was a possibility that Kim Jong-ho’s audition challenge would be revealed.

‘And…’

He didn’t want to think about it, but he could also fail the audition.

‘Then surely bad articles will come up.’

There was no way Kim Jong-ho didn’t think about what Seo-jun thought.

The way to Hollywood, which felt closer than before because of Seo-jun’s activities.

But it was still a rough road with a higher chance of failure than success.

Even now, actors who challenged every year came out and repeated failures.

And it was none other than Kim Jong-ho, an actor with great acting skills.

The impact of failure would not be so small.

It could also damage his image as an actor with great acting skills. But Kim Jong-ho said he wanted to challenge.

There was no actor in this place who didn’t know how great that was.

“Not at all.”

If it was something else related to Kim Jong-ho, Lee Ji-seok would have joked around with him, but he had no intention of ignoring Kim Jong-ho’s challenge.

“Seo-jun. Is there no role for me? No? How about uncle?”

Rather, Kim Jong-ho’s challenge seemed to raise Lee Ji-seok’s challenge desire.

It was a dreamlike thing to hang on movie theaters around the world with Korean works, but it was also a dream of actors to star in Hollywood movies and act with world-class actors.

“That’s awesome!”

“Really!”

Park Do-hoon and Lee Da-jin said with flushed faces. Kim Jong-ho, who was really challenging, looked really great compared to them, who were just thinking about it.

Kim Jong-ho coughed and said, avoiding the sincere eyes of Seo-jun and the three actors.

“Then I’ll try it.”

Seo-jun, Park Do-hoon, and Lee Da-jin smiled broadly at Kim Jong-ho’s shy look. Our uncle is awesome!

Lee Ji-seok chuckled and said.

“Jong-ho bro. Don’t cry even if you pass the audition.”

“Hey!”

Everyone laughed at Lee Ji-seok’s affectionate joke.
