Chapter 349

-Did you see that article?

-Yeah, I found it online. But it’s in English, so I don’t understand it.

-As expected of Moviegoer. You know about an article that just came out.

-Well, I can’t speak English anyway, so I have to watch Moviegoer’s review.

-22 Moviegoer, please explain!

“Sure. I’ll do my best to explain.”

Moviegoer smiled and opened his mouth.

“Do you remember when I told you about an actor named Davis Garrett? I said he was one of the most difficult actors to work with in Hollywood. That applies to actors, producers, and directors alike.”

-If you don’t know, please watch [Redbone 2 Review]!

-Thank you!

Moviegoer laughed at the natural guidance of his long-time viewers.

“To put it simply, Davis Garrett is an actor who values the atmosphere more than the script. He improvises based on his detailed character analysis and the feeling of the scene. He caused a lot of trouble because of that, but the results were good, so there are many places that deliberately look for him.”

-Could it be… the survivors too?

“Yes. That’s right. According to Jeffrey’s interview, the survivors were originally not much different from a clichéd disaster movie. Raymond Wish and Ian Weaver were supposed to escape and Raymond Wish would join the rescue team and save his family and three others.”

-Wow. The original Raymond Wish was amazing. The Raymond Wish here is like a bomb about to explode.

-Should we change it? LOL

-But it feels like I’ve seen it somewhere before.

-It feels like a movie protagonist.

“Jeffrey said that if he had filmed it that way, he might have had to edit out the stories of other characters because of the running time.”

-That makes sense. The survivors had a lot of scenes just for escaping. If they had to film escaping and rescuing, they would have cut a lot.

-It could have been Hyunwoo or Ian who got edited out.

-Ian ‘Wish’ disappearing!

-He escapes with Ian and then goes back to rescue… He’s amazing.

-But if Raymond Wish had escaped, he wouldn’t have been as tense as Hyunwoo.

-222 The outcome would have been predictable.

“What changed that was Davis Garrett and Lee Seojoon. As I said in Redbone 2 Review, there weren’t many actors who could match Davis Garrett’s improvisation.”

-Why? Is it because the other person can’t act?

“No. It’s not a matter of acting skills, but of personality. Improvisation requires a stage of creating dialogue, which is hard.”

-I see. It’s not easy to make up dialogue on the spot.

-You have to do both dialogue and action.

“Right. And even if you spit out dialogue somehow, you have to think about how the story will unfold from that dialogue, whether the other actor will accept it well, whether the director will approve it, whether the writer will understand it. There are more than one or two problems to think about.”

-Davis Garrett doesn’t care about any of that LOL

-I want to be like him!

Moviegoer and the viewers laughed together.

“He even wrote it in his contract this time. He said he could modify the script.”

-He’s persistent.

-That’s how you succeed.

“Of course, Davis Garrett doesn’t act recklessly either. If he did, the movie wouldn’t come out. Davis Garrett gauges the skill of his co-star and gives appropriate improvisation. But still, there must have been trial and error until he got an okay. But in this work, there was an actor who accepted his terrible improvisation at once.”

The viewers knew who he was without him saying it.

-Seojoon!

-Awesome (thumbs up)

-Our Seojoon…! (clenching teeth)

-The child (I can’t believe it) actor Lee Seojoon LOL

-Huh. He’s still a child actor LOL

“Yes. Our Lee Seojoon.”

-Ours LOL

-LOL LOL

-Nice to meet you. Sprout!

Moviegoer scratched his cheek with an awkward face.

He didn’t expect his inner feelings to show up. He was too excited after watching Jeffrey’s interview praising Seojoon’s acting over and over again.

“Ahem. Anyway, Davis Garrett started improvising suddenly and Lee Seojoon accepted it right away. Jeffrey said that at that time, Lee Seojoon was the only one who wasn’t surprised by Davis Garrett’s improvisation.”

-Wow…

-I can only admire LOL

“That’s when Raymond Wish’s personality and position changed and Hyunwoo’s personality and position changed. They slowly changed from the original script to the current survivors. There were a lot of script revisions in this process.”

-They must have revised a lot. There’s a script name in the interview. [Survivors Release Version_Modified7_8_Final_Finish_Finish2_Final2_Final3_End_Really End]

-I suddenly feel close to the Hollywood director LOL

-22 It feels like looking at my assignments on my laptop.

-I can guess how much they revised LOL

“The change was noticeable when the adults fell behind. The original protagonist, Raymond Wish, who was supposed to survive until the end, fell behind first. Then Jackson Miller. And Cynthia Lindberg.”

-I wondered when they would disappear LOL

-I didn’t expect none of the adults to survive.

-How can they do this to the kids…

“That’s how all the adults disappeared and only two kids remained. Escaping was still not easy. It’s not easy for tired kids to crawl through an uncertain escape route.”

-It could take an hour or two.

-And it could collapse at any time…

“There’s a picture I want to show you. It’s a picture that was released during this interview. It’s a picture of the set of the survivors.”

Moviegoer showed a picture on the monitor.

The viewers were amazed by the picture of the set that looked like it was cut out of a cake, or cut out of the collapsed Galleria Mall.

Especially the ant tunnel-like, Hyunwoo and Ian Weaver’s escape route set, there was no green chroma key at all.

They couldn’t help but admire it even if they saw it again.

“I thought it was all CG, but they actually made a set. They said the materials of the set were special, so there was no risk of injury. From here below,”

Moviegoer pointed to the bottom part of the set in the picture.

The viewers who had watched the survivors several times remembered a similar place.

-That’s where Cynthia Lindberg disappeared.

-Right. The dress and the plastic bottle behind it are familiar.

-…Scary. These people…

Moviegoer’s finger slowly moved along the empty corridor.

The twisted corridor was familiar to the viewers.

It was Hyunwoo and Ian Weaver’s escape route.

Moviegoer’s finger reached the end of the set.

“Up to here. Lee Seojoon and Andrew Walker acted as if they were crawling slowly. This is one scene. The rest of the escape scenes were also filmed in similar sets. And they said there was no set with the same shape.”

-They made it really well.

-I would have used one set for multiple times.

-That’s it. The Hollywood scale…

“And this is the set where we filmed the last escape scene.”

The set that appeared on the monitor was divided into two levels, like a first and second floor.

The first floor was the basement where the survivors were trapped, and the second floor was a part of the collapsed Galleria mall.

Unlike the other sets that had open ends, this one had a blocked passage.

“This is where Lee Hyun-woo and Ian Weaver were. And this much was blocked.”

The moviegoer pointed at the dead end of the passage and then at the thick pile of rocks that covered it.

“They said that during filming, an actor who played a rescue worker climbed up to the second floor and broke through the blocked passage to save the two actors. That made it more realistic.”

-Of course it felt real, they actually rescued them lol

-They must have been really immersed in their roles.

-I want to go see that set in person. Do you think they’ll make a survival course or something?

-It would be nice to take a picture next to 22.

-And wear some ragged clothes and makeup.

The moviegoer smiled at the viewers’ comments and said.

“If Bearound makes such an experience product, I’ll post a review right away. Now let’s get back to the movie story. Lee Hyun-woo and Ian Weaver move through this narrow and dark place for 30 minutes.”

-But don’t they rest a lot in between?

-222 If they do that for 30 minutes, they won’t get very far.

“They probably meant 30 minutes without resting. If they include resting time, the rescue team might go down further than expected. They told them to crawl because they wanted them to consider their speed.”

-Wow… you’re smart.

-I noticed that Lee Hyun-woo kept checking his watch when he rested

-I thought he was looking at the direction

-He also looked at the compass and the watch He was busy

-But if they don’t escape, it’s all in vain

-That’s what makes me sad and proud They try even though they don’t know if they can escape or not

The moviegoer’s eyes moistened as he saw the chat room filled with tears.

It was a scene that made him choke up no matter how many times he watched or remembered it.

“Lee Hyun-woo tries to cheer up Ian Weaver by acting brightly, just like the adults did. The conversation is also part of that.”

– He acted so well that I cried.

-But what does it mean when he says he’ll live with Raymond?

“He probably thought of the worst-case scenario. When Raymond Wish’s family and Lee Hyun-woo’s family are both dead. He said that if we escape, we’ll live together as people who lost their precious ones. We’ll endure the sorrow together. That means don’t give up.”

– I’m crying again

-I don’t care if Weaver couple dies.

-lol

“As they talk, Lee Hyun-woo loses consciousness right before he hears a sound. I heard it in the theater too, but it was so faint that I almost missed it.”

-I didn’t hear it. Because of the noise (swear swear)

-22 Someone had an alarm set. Just at that moment!!

-I heard it after jumping n times, but still, the first viewing was the most memorable.

-I got goosebumps!

“Lee Hyun-woo, who can’t make a sound, tries to make some noise somehow. How loud would it be when rocks hit each other? I was nervous that it wouldn’t reach outside.”

-Me too. Especially since so many people disappeared like that.

-Fortunately, it wasn’t like that.

He paused for a moment and opened his mouth.

“Survivors found. It still gives me chills when I remember it.”

-22 I was so touched when they said survivors found

-I was so grateful too

-I would have screamed if it wasn’t a theater lol

-I cried again when Lee Hyun-woo got Ian out first. Just keep crying

-I remember again

“Finally, Lee Hyun-woo, who is carried out on a stretcher, gathers his strength and speaks. He comes up with a way to save everyone he prepared with a thin hope. Honestly, I didn’t think of it at all, so I thought the three adults just gave up.”

-I couldn’t imagine it either

-[A few days later] I thought there would be a caption like that and then a video of them being rescued lol

-22 Even if it was a happy ending, they barely survived.

-As expected, the national English speaking contest winner! He has a really good memory.

-But there’s also that. Direction.

-Direction?

Someone’s comment made the moviegoer nod.

“Yes. Direction. That’s important too. The group of survivors headed north. But Lee Hyun-woo never said north. South. West. East. He changed the direction from the perspective of the rescue team, not the survivors.”

-Wow… that’s true. If the escape route was north-west-north, he would have said south-east-south.

-I would have been too busy to speak;;;

-I wouldn’t have thought of giving directions.

-Raymond Wish’s scene was also touching. And funny lol

-lol He thought he was going to die and then the rescue team came and called his name lol It’s not like they’re taking attendance or something lol

-He must have been confused lol

-He didn’t know it then, but he would be grateful for the escape that Lee Hyun-woo had taught him.

“I liked this part the most. Lee Hyun-woo, who first appeared as a nuisance character and barely survived with the help of Jackson Miller, Cynthia Lindberg, Raymond Wish, and the younger Ian Weaver, eventually saved Ian Weaver with his own will and rescued the three others. It was really great.”

-That’s true

-Now that I think about it, they saved each other

-I need to watch the movie again

-I thought it was a disaster movie, but it turned out to be Lee Hyun-woo’s growth story

The viewers and the audience laughed at the comment that called it Lee Hyun-woo’s growth story.

“The camera then shows the collapsed Galleria mall and the rescue of the survivors.”

The audience said with a smile.

“If they had added a fluttering American flag here, it would have been a perfect American propaganda movie.”

The viewers who understood the audience’s remark burst into laughter.

– I know what you mean

-We have faced this crisis, but we will overcome it (solemn)

-But if you look closely, there is a flag near the rescue team

-At least it’s not big

“Don’t you think it was in the original script?”

-That’s right The escape hero was supposed to be Raymond Wish

-Raymond Wish is American If they showed him saving the survivors, waving the American flag, and his family, it would have been hilarious

-Maybe they changed their mind when the hero became Lee Hyun-woo

-It’s better without it (serious)

-Seriously (calligraphy)

The audience nodded in agreement with the comments.

“I agree. The scene ends with the survivors and shows a perfect happy ending in a cookie video. It was a really good cookie video.”

-Ian Wish

-I didn’t think much until ‘Ian Wi’ But as soon as I wrote ‘Shi’, I cried again

-The theater subtitles also showed ‘Ian’, ‘Wi’, ‘Shi’ one letter at a time.

-22 I thought Ian was doing well until ‘Ian Wi’.

-Who would have thought his last name would change from Weaver to Wish!!

-Be happy with your new family. Ian Wish

The chat room was filled with tears as the audience changed the topic with a smile.

“The story of the survivors changed completely with the improvisation of Davis Garrett and Lee Seo-jun. I haven’t read the original script, but I like the changed story better.”

-22 Much better.

-333 There can’t be a better story than this.

-Davis did a good job improvising!

-Seo-jun also matched him well!

“But do you know what?”

The audience opened his mouth with a meaningful smile.

“The director Jeffrey came up with a work after seeing their improvisation. It’s called Survivors Director’s Cut.”

The chat room that was buzzing with praises for Davis Garrett and Lee Seo-jun’s improvisation stopped for a moment. The word ‘director’s cut’ seemed to be emphasized more than usual.

After a few seconds of silence, one comment came up.

-…Why does that come up here?

“Okay. Now I’ll start reviewing Survivors Director’s Cut!”

The chat room turned pale at the audience’s smooth transition.

-No! Why does that come up here!?
