Chapter 722

The man who had kidnapped William had a sinister face. 

He looked like he had been half-transformed into a slime, with dark green tentacles attached to his body.

Squirming-

The tentacles stretched and contracted repeatedly. 

It was unclear whether the man controlled the tentacles, or the tentacles had a mind of their own.

But one thing was certain.

The man and the tentacles harbored hostility towards Shadowman and William.

Shadowman pulled out a long weapon from the shadows.

William knew that they were not much help to Shadowman, and Jay knew that protecting William was more important, so they answered obediently.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the place where William had been held captive was quite spacious, and there were plenty of places to hide behind the large and small pieces of trash that had been abandoned.

As William cautiously moved a step back, it seemed to trigger a signal.

With a loud noise, Shadowman’s weapon and the dark green tentacles collided.

The weapon made of shadow and the tentacles that had been sticky and mucous-like until a moment ago, clashed with each other as if they were hard objects with great force, creating sparks and fighting fiercely.

Meanwhile, William quickly ran and hid behind a rusty drum, and Jay fended off the small tentacles that came towards William. 

Partner also came to help Jay and William escape first.

They were so rushed that they were out of breath.

William hid behind the drum and calmed his breathing, but he couldn’t take his eyes off the battle between the villain and Shadowman.

It was a speed that would be hard to see in detail with the eyes of an ordinary person, but William could see amazingly well how to block and how to attack.

The dark green tentacles lifted a rusty iron bar and threw it at Shadowman, and Shadowman’s sword cut the iron bar in half. Partner also smashed the tentacles that stabbed like thorns with great force.

The place where William had been captured was quite spacious, but not spacious enough for the hero and the villain to fight without caring. 

The fighting range widened.

The drum next to him was lifted by the dark green tentacles and flew towards Shadowman. 

William whispered to Jay as he saw the drum shattered by Shadowman’s sword.

“Jay, we have to move back.”

Nodding.

With Jay’s cover, William began to retreat slowly.

“Damn it!”

Shadowman noticed that and tried to minimize the impact on William’s side, but the villain didn’t care and poured out his attacks.

“…Because of you…!”

He spat out incomprehensible words.

Shadowman frowned and repelled the villain’s attacks.

Meanwhile, William looked for an exit. He felt like he was getting in the way here.

Using the moonlight as a spotlight, he looked around and found that there was only one exit. William looked up. 

The hole that Shadowman had made in the ceiling.

“…It’s going to be hard.”

He could climb up to the ceiling by stepping on Jay(?), but the villain was below.

“Can you break the ceiling, Jay?”

Shivering.

He asked Jay, wondering if he could break the ceiling somewhere else, and Jay shook his head with a sullen look.

“It’s okay. Let’s think together.”

William comforted Jay with a pat.

“There are quite a few holes…”

William examined the ceiling. 

There were large and small holes everywhere. 

They were only slightly smaller than a fist, though.

Unlike Shadowman and Partner, who were careful not to let the tentacles go towards William, the villain stabbed in all directions with his blade-like tentacles, leaving traces.

Bang!! With the loud noise of the battle as the background, Jay gestured that he would try. William smiled brightly and cautiously got up from his seat.

If he hadn’t heard the familiar and unfamiliar sound.

William and Jay looked down. 

It was dark, but they could see clearly. 

There was water around their shoes.

Then William remembered what he had guessed.

The area that swayed from the impact felt from above.

This place was on the water.

William quickly looked around.

The holes made by the villain’s attacks were not only on the ceiling. 

They were also full of old and rusty walls and dusty floors. 

There was no doubt that some of the holes had water coming in.

“Jay, tell Shadowman!”

Jay’s shadow stretched out and touched Partner, who was in the middle of the battle. And Partner told Shadowman the fact.

Shadowman was shocked by the fact that the water was rising. 

Shadowman’s attack became more fierce. 

He could escape easily, but William was obviously in trouble.

“I need to make a new exit, Partner.”

He had to get William out first.

Since the villain was below the exit he had made, he planned to make a new exit.

Partner agreed with Shadowman’s idea and stretched out. 

Partner fell to make a hole in the ceiling where William was. In the meantime, Shadowman took a defensive stance.
