Chapter 734

“Hmm. I still can’t tell the difference.”

Jonathan, the director, shrugged his shoulders after swinging the sword briefly. He took Seo-jun to the set.

The scene they were going to shoot today was Knight Jin running from the place where he awakened to where the villain was.

“Of course, there will be obstacles along the way.”

“I guess so.”

The villain wouldn’t be waiting patiently while ‘Knight Jin’ ran to the outdoor wedding hall where he was.

Tentacles of dark green color would stab at him from all directions, and some of them would pierce through fighter jets, trees, benches, and hurl them at ‘Knight Jin’.

‘Knight Jin’ had to dodge those attacks while moving.

“We also need to add a scene where the shadows help you. Oh, here’s the shield design.”

Jonathan handed Seo-jun a paper with a design drawn on it.

“This is Jay’s version and this is Partner’s version.”

Seo-jun looked at the concept arts on the paper.

Jay’s shield was a neat shape with symmetrical patterns, and Partner’s shield was a jagged shape like a child’s drawing.

It was easy to tell which shadow made which shield.

Seo-jun smiled.

They expressed the personalities of the two shadows well.

“They look good.”

“I was a bit picky about it.”

At Jonathan’s words, Seo-jun laughed.

“And you said you were strict with me?”

“Not as much as you. I gave them an okay after the second try.”

After finishing the talk about the shadow shields, the actor and the director looked around the set again.

A park was displayed on a large screen.

The trees swaying in the wind, the sun shining down.

It felt like they were really in a park. Of course, it would all be burned down after editing.

The rest of the place was covered with green chroma key. The floor was no exception.

“We’ll add the aerial scene with CG later.”

“Yes.”

When Jonathan pointed at the floor and said that, Seo-jun nodded. It would be a big trouble if they tried to shoot a real aerial scene and had an accident.

‘Well, there are actors in Hollywood who go up to high places or climb on airplane wings.’

Seo-jun could do it too.

Rather, he had the ability, so he could shoot more safely than those actors.

‘But…’

As always, Tae-woo, who was checking the safety of the set, and his friends in the US and Da-ho and Team 1 in Korea, and his friends and family came to his mind.

The expressions and eyes full of worry were attacks that even an infinite reincarnator couldn’t overcome.

“You practiced this at the training center. You can do it, right?”

Jonathan pointed at something on one side of the set that looked like something from a Korean variety show, a stepping stone that got higher and higher and a metal bar that popped out.

Seo-jun nodded at that.

“There’s also a safety device.”

There was a soft safety device underneath, so there was no problem.

“Well, with the athletic skills I saw at your uncle’s house…”

“Hahaha.”

“Still, if you feel like it’s too hard, let me know. Philip is here too.”

“Oh, Philip is here?”

“Yep! I’m right here!”

As if he had been waiting for him to call, Philip Yoon, the stuntman of ‘Knight Jin’, who was lurking in the distance, raised his hand with a flash.

Seo-jun laughed at that.

And naturally, he looked above Philip Yoon’s head. A beautifully grown spring tree was visible.

[Target: William Lee / Synchronization Rate: 90%]

It was a number that made him smile involuntarily.

“Ready, action!”

Knight Jin, holding a sword made of shadows, ran forward.

“…Shadows…!”

A beast-like roar was heard.

Knight Jin lifted his head.

The villain, whose upper body was mostly swallowed by the dark green parasitic creature ‘Arodo’, also lifted his head and looked at Knight Jin.

Their eyes met.

Eyes filled with boiling hatred and rage, and eyes that were calm and shining with conviction.

Then, for some reason, the dark green slime began to bubble and quickly erode the remaining body of the man.

“…Shadows!”

Again, with a spasm-like roar of the villain, dark green tentacles began to pierce like arrows from all directions toward Knight Jin.

Bang-! Crash!

It was an understatement to call them arrows.

They had a fast speed, a huge size, and a tremendous destructive power.

The neatly arranged park floor broke under the attack of the tentacles, and the fragments began to fly around.

Knight Jin very naturally bounced off the cement pieces with his sword.

He had never held a ‘sword’ in his life, except for the toy he played with as a child, but his movement was amazingly smooth and unhindered.

“Is it thanks to the inheritance?”

Knight Jin blinked his eyes in wonder at his body that moved the sword naturally.

“…Or, is it the instinct of a baseball batter who has to hit the flying things?”

But the way he held a bat and a sword was different.

While Knight Jin blinked for a moment, Jay and Partner quickly inflated their shadows and made shields to block the tentacles and fragments coming at Knight Jin.

Jay’s shield with neat patterns and Partner’s shield with jagged irregularities.

They looked different, but they had the same intention of protecting Knight Jin.

“!!”

“I got it. I’ll focus.”

At the nagging of the two shadows (he couldn’t hear their voices), Knight Jin looked forward again.

It seemed that he couldn’t go to the ground anymore, as the crashed fighter jets and trees were burning.

“Jay!”

Following Knight Jin’s will, Jay quickly made stairs with his shadows.

Knight Jin ran up the rising shadows. The villain didn’t stay still either. He stabbed his sharp dark green tentacles at the shadow stairs.

“Ah!”

Knight Jin panicked as there was nowhere to step on because of the tentacles’ attack, but a jagged thorn made by Partner quickly appeared in front of him. A thorn like a metal bar. Knight Jin immediately reached out his left hand and grabbed the thorn, spinning around and landing on the thorn.

“Thanks, Partner.”

Don’t mention it.

Partner, who had been with Shadowman, was definitely stronger in improvisation.

Knight Jin, who bent one knee and sat on the shadow thorn, looked at the church where the villain was standing.

The park was burning everywhere. If he couldn’t stop the villain, the fire would engulf the whole earth.

Knight Jin clenched his right hand holding the sword and jumped off the thorn with force. His black cloak fluttered like a shadow behind him.

He still had a long way to go.

***

“Cut! Okay!”

After the CG work, Seo-jun got up from his spot, shaking his black cloak, at the cut sign.

He had been squatting on a green chroma key metal bar that would be turned into a sharp shadow thorn.

Wow…!

It wasn’t that high and the width was enough to stand on, but standing on a long metal bar looked like a scene from a movie.

The costume was a hero suit, which made it even more so.

“But you really held it with only your left hand.”

It was hard enough to hang on with both hands, but he was an actor who could hold a sword with his right hand and a metal bar with his left hand and spin around.

“That’s why it looks cooler!”

“That’s true… Huh?”

The martial arts director, who was nodding his head, looked to the side at the familiar voice.

Philip Yoon, the stuntman, was looking at Seo-jun Lee, who came down from the metal bar with a light movement, with sparkling eyes.

“Shouldn’t you be against that?”

If the actor did all the action scenes, the stuntman would have no scenes to appear in.

“It’s okay! It’s okay if Seo-jun hyung does everything! Of course, he shouldn’t get hurt! But he can do whatever he wants!”

“…Okay.”

The martial arts director shook his head helplessly at the sincere sprout Philip Yoon.

***

With the help of the two shadows, Knight Jin headed to the outdoor wedding hall where the villain was. But it wasn’t an easy road.

The parasitic creature ‘Arodo’ seemed to be getting stronger, as the amount, weight, and speed of the tentacles it attacked increased.

He had to roll his body around like a circus while using the shadow stairs to move forward.

And,

Crash!!

He couldn’t focus properly because he had to avoid the fighter jets falling from the sky.

“Jay, the pilot?”

The quickly stretched shadow Jay searched the burning fighter jet. Fortunately, there was no one. He had escaped just before the crash.

When that thought was conveyed, Knight Jin, who was sitting on a shadow thorn made by Partner with one knee bent, sighed with relief.

“Phew, thank goodness.”

But he felt like he wouldn’t be able to stop the villain in time if he kept doing this.

He had to block the villain’s attacks that were directed at the First agents who were attacking from the ground, and save the agents who were under the crashing fighter jets, so he couldn’t focus entirely on the villain.

“Hmm…”

Above the mask that covered his chin.

Knight Jin’s black eyes, which were full of conviction, lost their direction for the first time and rolled around.

Like a child who knew he was going to get scolded.

But soon he closed his eyes tightly and opened them, and pressed the communicator on his right ear, which he had turned off.

-…

“…”

There was a brief silence.

Crash!!

But the villain’s attack, which didn’t know the heavy silence, continued.

Instead of Knight Jin, who couldn’t use his right hand because he was pressing the button of the communicator, Jay and Partner blocked the villain’s attack and slashed the tentacles with a swoosh-!

In the meantime, Knight Jin, who was watching, opened his mouth first.

His voice was high because he was dodging and rolling around the tentacles.

“I’m sorry, Director!”

-No, it’s okay. It’s a bit different from what I expected… but it seems like it was resolved in a better way.

He was curious about what he had expected, but Knight Jin decided to talk about the main point first.

“I’m sorry, but…”

Crash!!

Another fighter jet flipped over and fell down during the communication. It was Knight Jin’s side.

Like a huge hammer, the huge fighter jet smashed down to the ground and Knight Jin was crushed under it.

At the same time, the sharp tentacles pierced through the engine, and the fighter jet exploded again with a loud crash!

“William!!”

Taylor, the director, who was watching, shouted.

-It’s okay!

Knight Jin’s voice came through the communicator.

There was no interruption or difficulty in his voice.

He seemed to be okay as he said.

Shake shake-

The fighter jet engulfed in flames shook. And soon, something like a black egg slowly came out from under the fighter jet.

“Both I and the pilot are safe.”

As the shield made of shadows disappeared, Knight Jin, who was holding the unconscious First pilot, appeared. Neither of them were hurt, nor had any traces of being burned by the fire.

Taylor sighed with relief.

Knight Jin carefully laid down the unconscious First pilot on the ground and pressed the communicator with his right hand.

“I’m sorry, but I need you to take care of the fighter jets and the First agents.”

He was polite and courteous, but his tone was firm, as if he wouldn’t take no for an answer.
