Chapter 737

“Hehehe…”

A man sitting at a large desk in front of a huge window chuckled softly.

The window behind him was so bright that his face was shadowed and hard to see. It gave him an ominous vibe.

Hehehe-. His low laughter continued.

“You sound like a villain boss, sir.”

Peyron Park looked at the documents on the desk and smiled happily at the president of Marine, Richard Bowen, who was also laughing joyfully.

Maybe it was because they were a movie-related company that even the president was influenced by them.

Richard Bowen’s smiling face looked like a villain boss from a movie.

If the background behind Richard Bowen was not the sunny weather of LA, he would have really thought so.

‘The weather is nice today.’

Since the boss was daydreaming, the subordinate who came to report also stared out the window blankly.

“Ahem.”

Richard Bowen cleared his throat and came to his senses.

Just then, the sun was hidden behind a white cloud.

The backlight disappeared and the office that looked like a villain boss’s lair returned to its normal appearance.

“So, you’re saying that the filming of Shadow and Knight is all done?”

“Yes. As scheduled, all the filming was finished as of yesterday.”

They went back to the main topic, but Richard Bowen’s mouth was still twitching.

He couldn’t help but smile as he thought of the second golden age of Marine that would unfold with Shadow and Knight.

Some of that great achievement would go to him, the current president!

Peyron Park shook his head inwardly at the sight of Richard Bowen, who was trying to hide his joy with every sentence he uttered.

They had been working together for a long time.

Peyron Park ignored Richard Bowen (?) and continued his report.

“And we’re going to start the CG and editing work from today. We’ve already sorted out and delivered the important details while filming, so there’s no problem with the background or minor work. Of course, we’ll need Director Jonathan’s confirmation later.”

Richard Bowen, who came to his senses, asked.

“Where’s Director Jonathan?”

“He’s on vacation and will be back the day after tomorrow.”

“Good. He needs to rest well.”

That way, he can do better editing…!

Richard Bowen’s laughter, which sounded like hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo, looked like a wicked president even without the backlight.

“Then, when would be the best time to release it?”

Richard Bowen, who looked like he was about to sing a song, picked up the PinePad on his desk and turned on the calendar app.

The calendar had important film festivals, awards ceremonies, and estimated release dates of rival movies.

The first thing that came to his mind was the Academy Awards in February next year.

For the first time today, Richard Bowen’s brow furrowed.

“Oscar would be tough, huh?”

“I’m afraid so.”

Peyron Park shrugged his shoulders.

It was a difficult task for a commercial movie, especially a ‘commercial’ superhero movie, to win an award at the Academy Awards.

“We have a chance to be nominated for the visual effects category, though.”

“That’s nothing. It would be strange if we weren’t.”

They used CG so much, everywhere, and so flashy, that it would be strange if they weren’t nominated. Of course, they hardly ever won.

It was the limit of the superhero movie genre.

“Let’s not push ourselves too hard for the Oscar, then.”

“Yes. I understand.”

They didn’t give up completely, though. Well, they had to at least try.

They skipped the February calendar and saw the May and August calendars.

February Berlin, May Cannes, August Venice.

“Let’s skip the three major film festivals.”

They didn’t expect anything from these festivals.

They didn’t even get [Over the Rainbow1], which swept the Academy Awards.

“What is artistry, anyway.”

Richard Bowen, who was grumbling, turned the calendar forward.

He stopped at the October calendar.

“WTV Awards would be the best, right?”

Peyron Park nodded as if he expected it.

“That’s probably the best. Besides, the judging method is voting, so it’s a ceremony that directly reflects the public’s response. It also tells us how popular the work is.”

“We can use that popularity to produce the next works without any problems.”

Richard Bowen looked at the WTV Awards marked in October and said.

“Let’s aim for this, then.”

Richard Bowen and Peyron Park looked at each other and smiled.

Hehehe-. The laughter that came out sounded like a villain boss and his minion.

***

The person in charge of [Shadow and Knight] nodded at Peyron Park’s story.

“Then, we’ll postpone the release of Shadow and Knight to next year to match the WTV Awards…”

“What?”

“Huh?”

Peyron Park and the person in charge blinked and looked at each other.

“There’s an award ceremony this year, why are you postponing it to next year?”

“…There’s only a few months left for this year’s award ceremony, you know?”

It was June now.

There were only four months left until October. And the public had to see the movie sooner than that. At the latest, late September.

“We started the CG and editing work today, you know?”

There were only about three months left.

The person in charge quickly said.

“It’s hard to finish everything on time. Even if we do, the quality will be bad.”

Peyron Park smiled slyly and said.

“Just use money.”

“…Huh?”

“Call all the skilled CG teams. Call all the editing teams that can work. If you need more money, just spend more.”

The person in charge was speechless at Peyron Park’s blunt answer.

Peyron Park shook his head. He had to explain it like this.

‘I didn’t have to explain this to President Richard.’

They were two people who got along well in many ways.

-Shadow and Knight is scheduled to be released at the end of September!!

“Oh, really?”

Across the phone.

Seo-jun answered soullessly at Jonathan’s scream.

-Why are you reacting like that? It’s the end of September! There’s only three months and a few weeks left!!

“That’s because… I’m done with my work.”

As the actor who had finished filming said that, a thud! sound came from the other side of the phone.

It was the sound of Jonathan, the director who had to oversee the editing from now on, banging his head on the desk in despair of the bleak future.

-I feel like I’ve been torn apart from the synopsis to the script, to the filming, to the editing…

“That’s the director’s job, so there’s nothing you can do about it.”

-…Jun, I think you’re the main cause of this?

Hahaha.

Seo-jun, who had ground Jonathan like a millstone in the ‘synopsis’ and ‘filming’, only laughed instead of answering.

“But you’re fast. I thought you’d release it in November or December.”

-It’s because of the WTV awards. They’re going to release it at the end of September and get an award at the WTV awards in October, and use that to promote and squeeze the audience’s pockets until the end.

“Oh…”

As expected of Marine.

They seemed to have a plan to reap as much as they had poured in.

“The WTV awards, I haven’t heard that name in a long time.”

-Right. That’s the first award ceremony you got after your debut, right?

“Yes. That’s right. The Notable Actor Award.”

The Notable Actor Award he had received for [Shadowman 2].

It was still placed on the top of the display cabinet.

“The next ones I got were the Best Villain Award and the Best Acting Award.”

The awards he had received for [Shadowman 3].

It was also the day he realized that the [Shadowman series] had really ended.

“But I’m going again like this.”

The movie hadn’t even been released yet, but he was excited.

Maybe it was because he was attending as a hero, not a villain. Or maybe it was because he was continuing the story he thought was over.

‘Maybe both.’

Seo-jun smiled brightly. His heart was fluttering.

Then Jonathan said.

-You’ll get it this time too, right?

“Hahaha. I guess so.”

Seo-jun couldn’t say no modestly, because he had a brilliant record.

The sprouts from all over the world who had voted by country, afraid that the site would crash.

Maybe the WTV awards officials had slapped their foreheads when they heard the news of [Shadow and Knight] production.

-Well, then I’ll go take a break… For two days! Very! Hard! I’ll rest.

With a voice that seemed to be full of resentment, Jonathan said, and Seo-jun laughed.

[Marine’s ‘Shadow and Knight’ Crank Up!]

[Marine, ‘Shadow and Knight Filming Finished!’]

[When will ‘Shadna’ be released!?]

[Bluemoon, Starting US Tour Today!]

-Crank up!! Crank up!!

=Filming finishedThey really filmed it

=22 They really filmed it. That’s all I can think of.

=33 I thought it was all over after the Shadowman series

-Shadow and Knight… Our Jin Natura is a hero…!

=He’s William now.

=Jin Natura or William. They’re the same person.

=Jin Natura and William are different.

=? The body is the same, right?

=No. How can you say that beings with different memories are the same?

=But the body is the same, so they’re the same being.

=Wow. Let’s talk after watching the movie. You never know how Marine’s movie will go.

=22 Don’t you remember how Jin Natura gave up his life in Shadowman 3? Maybe there will be more shocking developments.

=That was really shocking

-Doesn’t someone die? Mom or dad

=NoWilliam family

=Then wouldn’t William go berserk and become a villain?

-So when will it be released?

=Next year? They have to do CG work too.

=22 Maybe the end of this year? Early next year?

=How can I wait

-Park Iden: We’re totally buried.

-Jung Eunsung: We’re buried deep.

<

Seo-jun burst into laughter at the messages of his friends who were the same age as [Bluemoon]. Because of the crank up of [Shadow and Knight], he was buried in both Korea and the US.

But it didn’t affect Bluemoon’s concert.

They had been promoting it for a long time and the ticketing was all done. They said they were popular in the US too, and it sold out quickly.

-Choi Jaewon: Seo-jun. Are you coming to the concert today?

-Baek Ihyun: The manager said so, right?

Seo-jun replied to the messages of Jaewon hyung and Sihun hyung.

<Yes. That’s right. I bought a light stick too!

<(Picture of two blue moon-shaped Bluemoon light sticks)

-Kim Sihun: Ooooh!

-Kim Sihun: No wonderHyung, the noonas looked excited

-Jung Eunsung: We see them every day…

-Jung Eunsung: They must be sick of us now.

-Park Iden:

-Choi Jaewon:

-Baek Ihyun:

Kim Sihun:

Seo-jun also laughed at the sight of the Bluemoon members who looked friendly with the staff.

-Choi Jaewon: But who are you coming with?

<Yes. That’s right. I’m waiting right now.

At the words that he was coming to pick him up, Seo-jun put on a hat to cover his face and a black mask, and carefully put the two Bluemoon light sticks and the flower bouquet he was going to give to the Bluemoon members in a paper bag, and waited in front of the hotel.

-Park Iden: Who is it?

-Park Iden: Do we know him?

As Seo-jun was about to reply, a black car stopped in front of him.

The sharp-looking car seemed to show what kind of personality the owner of the car had.

The tinted window went down.

“Don’t wait outside, what are you doing?”

The man who opened the car door quickly for him, frowning but worried that he might be hot in the scorching sun.

“How have you been, Jason?”

“Yeah.”

It was the violinist, Jason Moore.
