Surviving Zombies One Day At Time

Chapter 67 - 67. New arrival

Jenny blinked at him and then saw a huge smile on Meira's face. "You two stop teasing me. I have better things to do. Malek, what about the pharmacy?"

He shook his head. "It's ransacked. Trust me, better not even trying."

She sighed. "Then let's go and help crew cleaning the surroundings. I need many more stones. Or you'll have to sleep with your mom."

Malek suddenly started shaking his head. "No, thank you." The two looked at each other and started laughing

He rushed out and saw a strange situation. Zombies that want to go near the humans and zombies that are trying to get away when they came too near.

"What is going on? Ugh... this scent." He deliciously smacked his lips.

Jenny looked at Meira that had a stiff expression. "Don't tell me. It's disgusting to zombies but delicious to vampires?"

Meira nodded. "Don't spill your blood if there is no real need. It smells delicious."

Looking at her face Jenny knew that she said the truth. "Your self-control is quite amazing."

"Mine as well. Or I'd try to drink them dry." He pointed at a group of people that fought zombies.

Jenny chuckled. "Do you think you can get near? I really wonder. Are you two actually that strong? I want to see is the shield vampire proof."

Meira nodded. "OK."

She came to the shield and poked it. The structure seemed soft and hard at the same time. Her nails extended and became razor sharp.

The crew looked at her doings, then at Jenny's calm expression and just continued doing what they did.

Meira started hitting always the same point. Usually, people would wildly attack some places, but she knew that it is the best if she hits one certain point, over and over again.

But nothing happened. Even she was curious if the shield is really that strong. Malek came forward and started hitting the shield with his nails as well, but this time they were green. Filled with poison. But no matter what they did, not even a tiny scratch could be found in the shield, so they stopped wasting their time and energy.

The crew calmly killed tens of thousands of zombies that were nearby. Jenny was curious. How the hell so many zombies ended up near the hospital. But then remembered something. Near the place where she parked RV, there was a huge ad about a famous singer concert held nearby.

Zombies came less and less and the few that came behind those, just turned around, as they saw a mass of zombies dead. The natural fear of death. Zombies were seemingly dead, but they still had certain instincts. And one of those instincts is the fear of destruction.

Meira actually sat with Jenny and Malek could only sit with one of the Green brothers. "Hi I'm Alex, sit with me."

"I'm Malek." He politely bowed and clumsily sat behind Alex.

As soon they started driving away he was more than surprised. "Wow. They are noiseless! And float!"

Meira chuckled while she hugged tightly Jenny. "We could have walked back."

She could hear Jenny sighing. "I have no patience to wait for you to arrive. We will be there in ten minutes like this. How fast are you two actually?"

Tyra suddenly looked at Malek and smiled at him. "Wanna walk and see who is faster?" She was after all a speed user.

Everyone stopped, as Jenny rose her hand and summoned the motorcycle Tyra rode back to her storage. "Tyra and Malek will run. Have fun you two."

She called Jacob right away. "Jacob, we have one more person joining us. He will run with Tyra. They want to see who is faster. We will be there soon as well."

She finished talking to the excited boy and rose her hand. "Start!"

Just as she said that, the two figures swished away and disappeared. She stepped stronger on the speed and they flew much faster back, than when they went to the hospital.

Jacob stood with children and saw two figures head on the head, almost flying their way. They passed at the same time the boundary and smiled brightly.

Tyra nodded in appreciation at Malek. "Wow. Fast indeed."

Malek on the other hand had shiny eyes from excitement and wanted to say something, but kids came running towards them. "Later I need to talk to you."

Tyra shook her head. "Another time. I am maybe a power person, but I need sleep. Tomorrow will be a long and arduous day. We have a long time to talk."

He rose his eyebrows, as he saw a small mischievous smile in the corners of her lips. This woman is a tease. Interesting. Let's see what she plans. With a big smile, he agreed.

Jenny came through the wall and saw the two looking at each other like long lost lovers that couldn't wait to hug each other. She stopped her motorcycle and looked at Meira's face.

Meira saw it as well and pressed her lips. "It is not impossible. The problem is the blood."

Jenny shook her head. "No problem with that, as you'll have soon the potion."

Realizing what her words meant, Meira suddenly became silent and followed her. Malek turned his head and stepped in front of astonished Tyra protectively. Meira saw his motion and chuckled. "Hey! Am I such a monster?"

Malek pouted a little but then smiled brightly and hugged her now under Tyra's darkening eyes. But when she heard his next sentence she almost fainted.

"Mother is the best vampire in all the world. Even Lathe thinks you are the best." He smacked his lips loudly on her cheeks and chuckled. "I like her, but the bloodl.u.s.t..."

Meira stepped back and patted his head. "The potion is maybe the answer. In such a long time, maybe there is a chance for the love between the two species."

Tyra didn't know what is going on and looked at Jenny. "Uhm, son? Bloodl.u.s.t?"

Seeing her confused face Jenny smiled. "I know you have many questions. But let's talk another day. Your eyes look like rabbits and I see Green boys and Latisha are the same. I guess I'm not better. Let's sleep. Those two will be in watch tonight. I guess they have many things to talk about."

Tyra nodded and was about to leave when Jenny grabbed her hand. "Wait. We gathered stones for an extension. Let's go inside and check it out."

She saw from corners of her eyes people looking at their group in wonder. She turned to Green brothers and smiled. "If you are hungry come with me if you want to sleep go rest."

She could slowly recognize who is who. But still was not sure. Roy seems to be the oldest and Stuart youngest. Alex had a beard. Clarence had dimples and Florian had gray eyes instead of blue. Stuart was the quirkiest and had striking blue eyes and red long hair, while Roy was the calmest among them and burliest.

She looked at Roy and saw him shaking his head. "We ate before. Sleep is what we really need. Luckily we came back fast. I need a shower. And sleep..." He heartily yawned and waved at her. "Good night."

Even tho the sun didn't set completely, they felt so tired. The day was long and they did so many things. Jenny saw them all go, even the youngest to their vehicles and opened the door to her RV. "Come in. Soon I will have few things to change inside." They entered the RV that looked just small from the outside but the space inside was almost three times then it seemed.

She pointed at the nearest seating and they sat down. Jacob came to her and with excitement saw her opening the extension panel.

"Mom we can grab bigger or do you plan to extend this one?" He pointed at a few different vehicles on the panel.

"No sweety. For now, we will drive this one. It is not too big and it's not that striking. Steven's family thing is huge. Our looks almost like a tiny car next to their RV, but we still have more space. I'll do the extension." She searched the options and found the one she was looking for.

Funny, but extension didn't even cost her so much as she expected. Suddenly under their eyes, the space changed and they blinked as they saw a new interior. Dinette became so big that at least two dozen people could comfortably sit on it.

On the other side a full kitchen with a huge fridge and freezer. She walked towards the middle door and saw bunk beds from two sides.

Each side had three huge bunk beds that had enough space for two people, not one. In wonder, she opened two more doors and saw full bathrooms from both sides. Not only that she walked to the next door that had a huge king size bed. That room had its own bathroom and washing room with a washing machine and dryer.

They all exclaimed as they chose their beds.

Jenny chuckled and looked at the driving position and saw something else. The dinette could be turned into a huge bed and there was even an entertainment center with huge TV.

Tyra pointed at one of the bunk beds. "It has it all. TV, Games and even a small fridge for snacks and drinks."

Jenny looked at the side she pointed at and was flabbergasted. "Wow. Nice. Now girls come to my room, I need to give you some new clothes that you can wear casually. The uniforms can be turned off."

She pressed her hand in her neck and only a strange necklace was seen, as her suit disappeared. She looked at Jason and pointed at Malek. "I'll put out few boxes into a dinette. Let him chose the stuff he wants to wear. And go take a shower. We will sleep soon."

Jason saw suddenly a few boxes appearing and pulled stunned Malek towards it, while the girls went to the main bedroom.

They didn't feel jealous that she will sleep here. They had comfortable big beds and knowing her, she probably has another idea.

And she really did...
