Sweet Surrender: The CEO's Second Wife

Twenty minutes later, they arrived in the busy area of the city where pubs, disco bars, restaurants, and other establishments that cater to nightlife activities were sprouting like mushrooms.

"We're here!" Mike said exultantly looking forward to an enjoyable night with his new girl, his newfound happiness. He parked the vehicle in the underground parking lot.

They exited the car and went inside the elevator going up heading to the 10th floor of the 15 story building.

The walked in the hallway and entered a restaurant. They were greeted by a guy wearing a restaurant uniform. "Hello Sir Mike, Hello Ma'am!"

"Hello Rey, is there a vacant room for us? I want the KTV De Luxe private room," Mike said.

"Ah, yes we have two vacant rooms right now, Sir. This way please..." Rey leads the way.

Caroline and Mike followed the waiter.

They entered a spacious room complete with a state of the art Karaoke system and a comfy sofa with a complimentary wine inside a glass ice bucket in the center table.

"Just pressed this button here if you already decided on your order, Sir & Ma'am," the waiter said.

"Thanks, Rey," Mike said.

The waiter went out of the room and waited outside the door.

Mike handed the menu to Caroline. "Sweetie, have a look at the menu. You can order anything you want, my treat. The sky is the limit" he said, bragging.

"Don't call me sweetie!" Caroline snorted. She looked at the menu and ordered the 'Set 3' which consist of Tempura Platter, Chicken basket, Sweet and Sour Fish, Smoke Spare Ribs and rice with light beer and soft drinks. "Are you okay with these—?" she showed him her order.

Mike nods his head. "Yes. Anything you want sweetie," he winked at her.

Caroline rolled her eyes.

Mike pressed the button and the waiter entered the door to get their order, after getting the order the waiter exited the room going to the cooking area to have the order prepared by the kitchen staff.

Mike handed the microphone to the pretty lady beside him. "Miss, can you sing for me, please?" he said in a carefree voice.

"Sure!" Caroline accepted the microphone. "Is there any specific song you want me to sing for you?"

Mike mull over what song she wants her to sing for him. "Hmm...How about Aerosmith's song...I like Amazing, Crying, and Jaded," he said.

Caroline beamed brightly. "No problem, they're my favorite too!"

"By all means, sing for me my dear Caroline," he said and blew her a kiss playfully.

A few minutes later.

Caroline's amazing voice vibrated around the room while Mike was listening attentively to her singing mesmerized by her s.e.xy seductive voice.

Mike was impressed. Caroline was able to add a unique touch of feminine angst to the music of his favorite rock band. He was able to make her sing more songs such as... What Could Have been Love, I Don't Want To Miss A Thing and Sunshine. She sang without complaining until their foods arrived.

Their background song while eating was one of Creed's song~My Sacrifice~

One hour later, Caroline was done eating and Mike requested Creed's song this time for her to sing such as One Last Breath, With Arms Wide Open, Higher and Don't Stop Dancing.

Caroline accommodated his request and sing non stop.

Another hour passed. Caroline finished singing and gave the microphone to Mike. "Now it's your turn to sing for me!" she demanded. She picked the song of one of her favorite singer Daughtry~ and the title of the song is~What About Now~ and thrust the microphone to him.

Mike smirked and sat down beside Caroline then he began singing the song with all his heart hoping to impress his lady crush, it's one of his favorite songs of all time.

Now it's Caroline's turn to say 'Wow!' she was amazed that he also had a good singing voice like his brother John. Mike aced the song...then she requested more song, Over You, Home, Life After You, September and Crawling Back To You... all the song she mentioned were Daughtry's music.

Mike sang all the requested songs with heartfelt emotion while Caroline sneaked glances at his face, so focused on the music.

Thirty minutes later after singing all her requested song Mike turn off the music and silence invaded the room.

Caroline and Mike stared at each other faces, preoccupied with their thoughts running on their heads.

Mike stared at her face intensely.

She raised her brow. "What's wrong?"

Mike grinned. "Nothing is wrong. Everything is alright. I'm just happy we bonded tonight," he murmured. "Thanks for your great company and your great singing voice, Caroline. I hope you will go out with me again," he added.

Caroline smiled.

"Let's go home now, it's already 10:00," Mike said after noticing the time on the wall clock hanging on the wall.

"Okay, I will go to the restroom first!" Caroline stood up and went to the bathroom.

After Caroline exited the bathroom, Mike comes in next.

A few moments later Mike settled the bills and they exited the private room. They entered the elevator going down to the parking area in the bas.e.m.e.nt.

The drive towards Caroline's house took thirty minutes and they were unusually quiet during the whole travel.

Mike parked the vehicle outside the gate. He looked at the woman beside him "We're home! How about a goodbye kiss?"

Caroline laughed and rolled her eyes. "Goodnight Mike!" she opened the car door and made an exit.

"Bye Caroline, sweet dreams! Dream of me tonight!" Mike seriously said and looked at her with a meaningful stare. He waved goodbye at her. He only drives away after seeing Caroline entered the door safely.

The smile on his face lingered even after he arrived home. He was lying in his room preparing to sleep. Mike reached for his phone and composed a message to Caroline.

'Thanks for the wonderful and enjoyable night. I had a good time with you. I wish you will go out with me soon. We can do so many things together and enjoy each other's company. Sweet dreams!'

Mike sent the message and placed the phone back into the bedside table. After waiting for a few minutes for the reply that never comes, he finally manages to bring himself to sleep.

In Caroline's room, she had fallen asleep already.

Her phone receives two text messages that night, one from Mike and the other from the unknown sender.
