System Vs Magic

'The heck is this!' He grumbled. He about to stop his cultivation. But he thought for a second, 'wasn't this my tribulation? Wait, If I didn't even pass this ordeal, how will I able to succeed in going back to earth?' Although he said this, he was at his wit ends.

Again, he focused on his mind and continued.

His face showed a painful expression. He looks pale and skinny in an instant. Inside his body, the stream-like energy was overflowing and out of control.

But even with this situation, Yeman was still concentrating. He needed to succeed, to go back on earth, to live a peaceful life with his family, and most of all to see Marie once more.

However, Yeman's tribulation was far from ended. After the cold and heat, here goes a feeling of falling from a high place.

He also experienced a scene where he was in a desert, where his throat was dried and out of water. Even though only minutes have passed, but for him, it felt like he was in the desert for an entire year.

Yeman's whole body was trembling, and the stone fragments in his fingers showed spider web cracks.

He knows that, if ever, the stone fragments in his fingers were to break, these whole tribulations of him will be for naught.

After an hour,

A new scene had appeared where he was floating in the air. Above him was the gathering of dark clouds where lightning strikes from everywhere. Below him were the raging waves of tsunamis.

The deafening thunders above and the raging tsunamis below were the scenes that could be seen only in the movie.

But right now, it's happening right in front of him!

'So this is the last part of my tribulation, ' he thought.

Stone fragments were rotating around him in a hard to perceive motion. They were shining like fireflies and were distinguishable in these dark surroundings.

He noticed two different colors out of them. It seems like, to finish this tribulation, he needed to grab the two red colors.

There were a total of 100 pieces of stone fragments rotating in a hazy motion. Out of the two red colors, all of them were yellowish.

Their rotation speed was quite frightening. He couldn't be careless in this regard, cause if he messes up, he might lose both his hands.

Yeman thought for a while, then decided to use his extra points. As of the moment, he has 12 points, plus he leveled twice this noon. Now he has a total of 32 extra points on his stats.

He summoned his Window-Interface. 'In this case, I need more agility and--"

BoooOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!

"GeeeEEEEEEHHHHHHHHH!!!" He freaked out. The thunder strike almost hit him.

Yeman finds himself in an odd posture and blinks his eyes twice. "Fuuhh!" he sighed, then tried to regain his stability again.

'Concentrate! Concentrate! Concentrate!' he shouted repeatedly. He went into meditation posture again while floating in the air.

'Okay, I need to be agile and accurate in grabbing these stones.' He said in his mind. He decided to use 12 points to agility stat and 20 to his dexterity stat.

After putting his points to his stats, he figured out that it wasn't a good idea to rely on his eyes. The movements of the rotating stones were difficult to follow. So he closes his eyes and tried to perceive.

Since he has high perception stats, it wasn't difficult for him to perceive any movements around him.

He concentrated and focused his attention on these two glowing red. He noticed that one of them was rotating around him in a counter-clockwise, while the other one was moving all around with no real track. 'This one will be tough to read, ' He thought.

*Fwoosh!*

He used his right hand to grab nimbly the stone fragment that rotated in the counter-clockwise movement.

'Success!' he exclaimed excitedly.

*Pang!* *Pang!* *Pang!*

"Arrrgghhhh!!!" he g.r.o.a.n.e.d in pain. He knows something pierced his right hand. And something wet was dripping out of it. His brows twitched. Luckily his hand still connected. He finds his hp slowly dropping.

'Not good, I needed to finish it fast, or else I will die in this tribulation of mine.'

Now only one red stone left, only one of his hands was left too, and it was his left hand for god sake.
