Talents Beyond Talents

The first thought of many students was, undoubtedly, that there was an earthquake.

However, Red already had a bad premonition. The teachers didn't seem to react much, so Red had to rely on requesting to go to the washroom. As swiftly as she could, she went in and decided to lock herself in one of the stalls.

(How am I going to get Ying Ze out?) She wondered to herself worriedly.

Ying Ze already knew something was odd as well, and had decided to do the same as Red. However, he was still pondering over her powers.

(Levitation? How is that possible?)

Staring at a droplet of water at the sink, he thought about making it float. However, nothing happened.

(Hmm...)

Red decisively crept her way out the toilet, and utilizing her newfound powers, she quickly shoved the invigilator's tie up, blocking her view before making a break for the stairwell.

(If all is good, she won't notice I've left and just assumed it was a strong wind... anyway I've gotta get out!)

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a well-dressed lady.

(An examiner?)

The lady saw her and gave her a small smile.

Red smiled back politely.

(Um... what do I do...?)

She couldn't just keep walking as if it was perfectly acceptable. She was basically breaking the rules, and she was caught already.

Then, she noticed that the building seemed to be shaking from the lady.

"Um, miss, the building may collapse on you," Red attempted to converse to buy her some time. She had just learnt that she could cause things to fly, so it wouldn't be a stretch if the lady in front of her could bring down the whole building with a different power.

And it was very likely that the lady had no good intentions.

"Would you kindly follow me, Miss Red?"

"Um, am I in trouble?"

"Not at all! I had just came to get you, the paperwork has already been done. It was on urgent notice, so we couldn't inform you sooner. I'm terribly sorry about that."

"Where are we going?"

"Somewhere safe."

For a moment, Red was convinced. She felt like the lady was actually being authentic, even though the whole building was shaking and many could lose their lives because of her.

Then she fainted.
