Chapter 37: Evolution and Promotion

Everybody took a breath of relief when finally, the dragon died. After which, Akash came out of the cave and looked at the dragon confused, promptly asking the System.

"How could there be a dragon of the Star Knight realm here? You told me that in the Silver Grounds, the highest realm of beasts was at the 10th Star."

*beep*

[There could always be an unnatural occurrence in the Training Grounds. 8/10ths of the beasts in the Silver Ground are at or below the 10th star realm. The same ratio applies to the other grounds as well.]

"You should have told me that too."

The System didn't reply. After realizing he wasn't going to get an answer, Akash went down to the dragon's body. Sohrab and Sacra saw him and quickly asked.

"My Liege, what happened to Old Daan? Has he already been cured this soon?"

Akash shook his head.

"No, I am here for this dragon."

Both of them silently looked at Akash as curiosity made them ponder.

"Does His Majesty want the body parts of this strange beast? Are they valuable?"

Akash got closer to the dragon. Its red boiling blood was still fresh. He touched the neck of the dragon and uttered.

"Blood Feast!"

The blood that was pouring out of the dragon's body suddenly stopped and got absorbed by Akash. The previously healthy-looking dragon, as the decomposition had yet to start, turned into a fragile mummy-like body. Akash had absorbed all its blood.

He observed the corpse and asked the System once again.

"System, how can I take out its core. Should I cut its body and take it out?"

*beep*

[The King must figure it out himself.]

Akash was astonished by this answer. He scrutinized the body before deciding to cut the chest of the dragon. He was about to call Sacra for the task when he suddenly heard a voice.

Akash's eyes widened. He couldn't remember this voice at all yet it gave him the same feeling when Akash got his dwelling name.

He stretched his hand towards the dragon and uttered.

"Extract."

The core of the dragon floated out from its severed neck and Akash caught this red core. Sohrab and Sacra were shocked. They never thought that Akash could actually devour the blood and core of a beast.

This coupled with Akash's mysterious background and powers instilled some fear into their hearts on top of the respect they had for him.

Ponytail was not surprised at all. As he was a contracted beast of Akash's, thus he could understand his feelings and thoughts to an extent.

Not to mention that Ponytail was trained by Star God realm masters for 3 years, so he naturally gleaned a lot of necessary knowledge from them.

Akash was surprised for a different reason though. He was concerned about that voice.

"What is this voice? Why can't I remember it? I can't even discern whether it's male or female."

He asked the System again.

"System, did you recognize the voice I just heard?"

[System didn't hear any voice.]

Akash sighed.

"Guess I will find it out sooner or later."

Akash turned towards Sohrab and Sacra.

"Sacra, take this core and eat half of it, it will help you in increasing your powers. Give the other half to Sohrab."

Akash went back towards the cave and ordered Ponytail.

"Ponytail, stay with them and protect the cave."

Ponytail punched his chest and replied.

"I... will... father."

Akash went back into the cave as it was time for Daan's cure. Akash repeated the process in the same manner, Daan put the dwelling gem in his mouth and focused on the energy while Akash was supporting from the back.

~2 months later~

Akash came out of the cave and behind him was Sohrab Khan. After treating Daan Godlyn, he helped Sohrab absorb the dwelling gem of Jeeth Subedar.

"Let me first check the changes you've underwent."

Akash told Sacra Emilat as he opened his profile.

Akash was greatly surprised.

"Medium-Legendary aptitude! And a rare race of high orcs!"

Akash thought the only difference would be the rise of their cosmic powers but not only did they break through two moons immediately, but their aptitude increased from common to legendary as well.

Sacra also evolved into a rarely found high orc. Akash had only read about them in books where it was stated they even rivalled the top races. Akash smiled and reasoned.

"I guess this only shows how great the 10 Dragon Kings were."

Akash turned his head towards Sohrab Khan and checked his profile too.

Akash was greatly satisfied with Sohrab's advancement as well.

"Impressive, it's still a Legendary Grade as well. With his monstrous strength, Sohrab would be a great companion."

At last, Akash tilted his head to check Daan, he was the one whose physical appearance had changed the most. His body had turned into a pale-silver colour with bulging muscles, slightly less than Sohrab's.

His mane had turned into a dark-grey colour while his height now reached 3.2 meters. His fangs grew and protruded from his mouth. All of that along with his many scars, from his many battles, gave him quite an intimidating appearance.

Akash was stunned.

"Sabretooth and Star Law! Daan Godlyn has evolved into a race resembling a Primordial Beast, Proud Sabretooth. Together with Star Law, his physical power would become a nightmare for enemies"

Akash heart blossomed with happiness. He didn't expect that these 3 could reach such heights. Akash wondered how Haji Tea would improve after absorbing the dwelling gem of Duran.

After assimilating the dwelling gem's energy, all three of them had their control over one specific law greatly improved. For Sohrab, it was the Earth Law while Sacra's Wind Law improved. Lastly, for Daan Godlyn it was the Martial Law.

Akash looked at Ponytail.

"Hey buddy, it's time to go back inside."

"Okay..."

Ponytail replied as he went inside the dwelling of Akash.

"Alright, let's go."

All four of them arrived at the Headquarters. Akash checked the time, exactly one and half-day had passed.

"They should have arrived by now."

Daan asked.

"My Liege, who are you talking about?"

Akash replied with a jolly smile.

"Your new family."

Akash remembered something and asked Daan.

"Do you use any sort of weapon?"

Daan replied.

"No, My Liege. I have always used my claws and fists."

"Very good."

Akash took out a square box made of bones from his inventory and handed it to Daan.

Daan asked in confusion.

"Is this some sort of weapon?"

"Yes, it is."

Daan took the box in his hands and started to look at it. Suddenly, the box turned into a liquid form and glued on Daan's arms, startling him.

Akash reassured him.

"Don't worry, just stay still."

Soon, the liquid turned into two amazing looking off-white bone gauntlets. Only the fingers of Daan were visible so that he could use his claws while the rest of his arm, up to the shoulder, was covered in those gauntlets.

"Its name is Hadda Subera, a master of the Martial Law."

Akash said

"I'm honoured to receive this, My Liege."

Daan bowed.

Akash replied.

"I have another gift for you as well."

Daan asked in surprise.

"What is it, My King?"

Akash called the System.

"System, promote Daan into a Lord. Sacra and Sohrab into Earls"

*beep*
