Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 105 - Snow Song Realm

The Dimensional Profound Stone shined brightly once... Aerion closed his eyes and opened them once again. He found himself in a dimensional tunnel which seemed to be travelling rather quickly. This was something Aerion had never seen before. His surroundings were changing from dark to colourful almost every other second.

"Dimensional Profound Stones are used to create dimensional tunnels and travel through space. It is a safe method of travel, yet relatively slow."

"Is travelling in space usually dangerous?" Aerion inquired.

"There is no danger in travelling through dimensions for a short amount of time but travelling through a long-distance for a long time could very likely form a dangerous dimensional storm. That is why this Dimensional Profound Stone has an isolation barrier, it's to protect the people inside of it from these dimensional storms."

"I see."

"But those of the Divine Sovereign Realm and above don't have to worry about trivial things like dimensional storms," Rotias added.

Maybe you are useful, Rotias.

"I can help with your battle strength but these fools of the Divine Realm would see it as devil energy. These 'Gods' do not tolerate that kind of energy and will not hesitate to kill you on sight if they discover that you can wield it... hmph, imagine comparing an Ancestral God's grace to a devil's energy."

So you're the very last resort, much like the Evil Infant's Wheel of Myriad Tribulations. That's absolutely brilliant.

Aerion sighed.

"What are you thinking about, junior brother?" Mu Xiaolan asked.

Aerion almost laughed at the prospect of being her junior when he looked very much the senior. But since their rank was identical and she joined the Divine Ice Phoenix Sect before him, she was his senior.

"How my life will change from now on. In Blue Pole Star, I was an untouchable and supreme Emperor who had conquered and united the entire world. In the Snow Song Realm, I'll be no more than an inner sect disciple. It's quite a change, don't you think?"

"Don't worry, junior brother, you'll get used to it. Master is very influential in the Divine Ice Phoenix Sect since she is the Great Realm King's sister and all, so it is unlikely that anyone will give you any trouble."

Great Realm King's sister!?

Aerion smiled. "I never knew that."

"I would like to know something... how did you cure my poison?" Mu Bingyun asked.

"It's a secret of mine."

"Very well, I won't probe any further."

Around twenty minutes later, they arrived in the Snow Song Realm. It was a world of ice as he had heard previously. The world was enveloped in extreme amounts of yin energy and because of that, ninety percent of its residents were women. The air was icy cold yet unbelievable pure when compared to Blue Pole Star. The two worlds were simply incomparable, they were only completely different planes. Aerion felt like he had just left the mud and risen to the heavenly sky.

So... I have finally ascended. Not just to a Low-Rank Star Realm, but to a Middle-Rank Star Realm while also having the protection of Palace Master Bingyun. My drought is finally over, it's time that I start properly increasing my cultivation strength again!

Mu Bingyun led them to her Ice Phoenix 36th Palace and then Mu Xiaolan showed him to his room. He got his Ice Phoenix Engraved Jade later, which was sky blue to signify his rank of Ice Phoenix Palace disciple. Of course, he also donned a new set of ice phoenix snow robes which would suit his current situation better. They looked quite fashionable, in Aerion's humble opinion.

"Who are the top disciples in the Sect, the competitors for the Great Realm King's direct disciple position, and just how strong are they?"

"That's a weird question to ask... could you be trying to become the Great Realm King's direct disciple, junior brother?"

"Perhaps. Isn't it something everyone should want to reach? There's simply no better position for a disciple." Aerion answered somewhat honestly.

"I understand where you're coming from, well, it's basic knowledge anyway. There are two main competitors, Mu Feixue and Mu Hanyi. Both of them are in the middle stages of the Divine Tribulation Realm but Mu Feixue has a thicker Ice Phoenix bloodline while Mu Hanyi is known to be more talented. Actually, Senior Brother Hanyi is superior to Mu Feixue and I have no doubts that he will become the Direct Disciple of the Realm King in the future."

"Oh, he's that amazing, isn't he?"

"Of course! He is so gentle and caring, I don't know a single person who doesn't like him."

Such a temperament is indeed popular... considering the icy talented beauty trend, Mu Feixue probably doesn't quite have the same charm.

"What about Mu Feixue, what's her temperament like?"

"She is extremely beautiful, calm and cold-hearted."

I knew it.

"Thank you for the information, senior sister."

"If you need anything else, please inform me."

"I will certainly do that."

Aerion decided against closed-door cultivation, for now, he wanted to gather some resources first so he went outside into the Ice Phoenix City. It was a pretty place that was inhabited by disciples and elders, all members of the thirty-six Ice Phoenix Palaces. Aerion, obviously, didn't recognize anyone so he avoided contact. But his royal appearance was hard to hide and even harder to ignore.

"Are you lost, junior brother? This senior sister would be glad to help if you want to find something."

A rather pretty girl approached him. Aerion didn't really need someone to show him around but it was better than nothing. He nodded.

"Is there a market place around here? I would like to sell a few items."

"Of course, follow me." She said with a smile.

Rotias laughed. "Does this mortal woman really think she has a chance? Her looks are barely above average and her cultivation strength is trash."

I don't need your comments, Rotias.

"Is that so? I'll make sure to commentate more often, hahahaha."

A few minutes later, they arrived in the market place. It was where disciples would exchange items for money and whatever else. Aerion could see that there was a high demand for excellent quality weaponry, especially swords. This was the perfect opportunity to make some money... but Aerion didn't know what the currency was.

"What's the currency in the Snow Song Realm?"

"It's the same in every Star Realm in the Realm of Gods... ah, I forgot, you're new around here, right?"

"Yes, I arrived here today."

"That makes sense... the currency is quite simple, there are Purple Profound Stones, Crystals and Jades. Purple Profound Stones are the least valuable as one crystal is worth a thousand stones and a jade is worth a million profound stones."

Aerion nodded. "I see... thank you for the information, I think it's time I start filling my storage ring with some Purple Profound Stones."

Aerion walked towards the market place. He observed the quality of the weapons and it made him chuckle.

Easy money.

"Hey, senior, would you like a fine sword?"

"Fine?"

"Mhm. It cuts through beasts like butter... I can guarantee you that it's at least twice as sharp as the one you have. In fact, it can probably cut through your current weapon like thin air." Aerion arrogantly stated.

"Are you sure? Let's compare them, then!"

Aerion took out a Divine Soul Realm sword which was infused with the Flying Wind God's Art, it was basically a Stormcaller. It rivalled a Divine Tribulation Realm sword in terms of sharpness. The only difference was that it wasn't a cross-guard, it was based on the light-swords that most cultivators use.

Aerion gave him his sword and watched as the disciple held his own sword and smashed Aerion's sword against it.

Slash.

The disciple's sword was cut in half immediately. The disciple wore a face of shock, Aerion took back his sword. "Oh dear, looks like you no longer have a weapon."

"... How much for your sword?" The disciple asked.

"A few resources or money, I'll decide if it's enough."

The disciple rummaged his spatial ring and took out quite a few resources. Aerion was impressed so he gave the sword without any signs of hesitation.

"If you have any friends who also need a fine sword, tell them to look for me."

"What's your name, senior?"

Senior?

"Aerion Targaryen."

"What a strange name... but, I will make sure to tell my friends about you."

Aerion smiled. "It's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e doing business with you."

Aerion did about a dozen trades and after he was done, he returned to his room and looked through his well-earned resources. He had more than enough to last a short while. Aerion closed his eyes and took out Sky Piercer. He had intended to reforge it for quite some time but never got the chance. He dumped ten Divine Soul profound cores along with Sky Piercer into the fire. Sky Piercer melted along with the profound cores. Moments later, they all began to fuse together.

White lightning started flicker on Aerion's palms. He sent a steady stream of the lightning into the halberd while it was still forming. The white lightning joined the halberd as the parts began to come together. After a whole minute... the most majestic halberd in the world appeared before him.

It was longer than ever before, standing at a staggering four meters. The halberds aura reflected its owner quite well by being just as domineering and regal. Aerion grasped its shaft and swung it around for a little with both hands. With every swing, he could hear a loud and mighty swish as it cut through the air. Once he put more profound energy into it, the halberd started to flicker with more and more bolts of lightning.

BOOM.

Aerion smashed Sky Piercer into the ground. The lightning around it exploded at once and blasted the ground. Since it was a strange world, Aerion couldn't quite put a dent into the ground but the strike did sound very terrifying. He was satisfied with the result.

Now it's time for me to get stronger, as well.

Aerion looked at the resources he had gathered and started to swiftly make use of them.
