Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 157 - Challenging The God-Emperor

This place hasn't changed much.

Aerion entered the Seventh Heaven Pearl and looked for Caizhi and Jasmine.

"Master, it's been a while. I hope you've been doing well."

Aerion smiled. "I have not felt better in quite some time. How have you been, He Lin?"

"I've been perfectly content with things, though I do miss my sister sometimes."

"We'll pay her a visit later then, alright?"

"Mn, thank you, Master."

Aerion chuckled. "No need to thank me, I should thank you for your loyal service. Without you, I'd be much weaker than I am currently. Hmm, I'd like to ask you something, He Lin."

"What is it, Master?"

"Do you... ever think about the people who killed your parents?"

"No, not really. What does that have to do with anything, Master?" He Lin asked.

"I just know who ordered the massacre and I'd like to consider your point of view before I take action. Killing the person who did it is definitely possible with my current capabilities if you want me to, that is."

"I... don't know about killing them. Master, you forgave quite a number of people, right?"

"But those who lived didn't do much wrong in the first place. This person killed your family out of their own greed and nothing else."

"So what would you do in my position?"

"If I were you, I'd want his head on a spike." Aerion bluntly replied. "But I'm not you. Even if it isn't death, this person deserves a cruel punishment or, perhaps, a way to atone for his crimes."

"Who is this person, Master?"

"The Brahma Heaven God Emperor, my... future father-in-law."

"Really? The Brahma Heaven God Emperor... and he is Master's father-in-law? There's no way you can kill him, no I don't want you to! Wouldn't that be hard for you and your wife?"

"Well, it would definitely complicate things. Which is exactly why I mentioned the third way to punish him. He can still atone for his sins without dying, after all."

"How would he do that?"

"I was thinking about him becoming your slave for the rest of his life or an eternal guardian for the wood spirits."

"Why would I need him to be my slave? I have Master to protect me and this realm is perfectly safe anyways." He Lin shook his head. "It's not necessary."

"Well, then a guardian for the wood spirits would work. No wood spirit would have to worry about being hunted down when the Brahma Heaven God Emperor himself is protecting them. Well, by then, he won't even be the Brahma Heaven God Emperor in the first place. But a peak Divine Master is still a peak Divine Master."

He Lin nodded. "That'll be good enough."

"The Brahma Heaven God Emperor did such a thing? Hmph, like father, like daughter, I suppose they're all the same." Jasmine stated.

"Ooo, who's this Brahma Heaven God Emperor, is he tasty?" Daemon inquired.

"Don't ever say anything like that again, Daemon."

"Or what?"

Rhaegal sighed. "Or I'll turn you into a living torch."

"Tch, I'm quite fire-resistant, so I doubt you'll be able to do that."

"I'll just freeze you then." Icy shrugged. "Or are you ice-resistant too?"

"I'm cold-resistant, though I'm not so sure about ice. Maybe a little bit? Anyways, father, I feel like it has been a while since we've been unleashed, you know? Eating profound cores is nice and all but it doesn't feel rewarding, I'd prefer to hunt down my own food."

"For once, I agree with Daemon." Rhaegal nodded. "We've broken through to the Divine Master Realm and have yet to fight since reaching the Divine Spirit Realm."

"Your time will come soon, I assure you. Jasmine, Caizhi, I've already arrived at the Star God Realm to challenge the Star God Emperor. I'm sure you'd like to see him lose to me, Jasmine."

"I'd love to see that Old Villain fall," Jasmine replied.

"Wherever Big Sister and Brother-in-law go, I'll go as well." Caizhi nodded.

Aw, she's too sweet.

Aerion chuckled. "Alright, we're going."

He opened the Seventh Heaven Pearl and let himself, Caizhi and Jasmine out. Jasmine scanned her surroundings and immediately recognised them as this was her palace in the Star God Realm, the place where she had spent most of her time.

"Jasmine, are there any dressing rooms around here?"

"Why would you need one?"

"To put on my armour, of course."

"Armour? I don't recall you wearing any armour."

"I made a set of armour from all of those profound cores rather recently, it's something I intend to use against the Star God Emperor to give me an edge over him."

"Just use my bedchambers while we wait outside."

"I'll do that." Aerion nodded.

Aerion dressed into his Dragon Emperor armour without much haste, as he thought about how he'll proceed after defeating the Star God Emperor. There were many things he could do; wait for the heaven chosen children to return and the calamity to settle before beginning his conquest or use the Star God Realm's forces to expand and take the Eastern Divine Region while it's lacking a God Emperor came to mind the most.

I'm not impatient but I'd rather have a united Eastern Divine Region before the calamity strikes.

"You're more than capable of doing it now, so why wait? Raise those banners and assert your authority before those geniuses return. Then they'll have to keep their promises and swear their oaths to the ruler of the Eastern Divine Region instead of just the Star God Emperor. Then you can handle the matter concerning the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor."

It seems that we are of the same mind, Rotias. I'll take the Eastern Divine Region under my banner before the geniuses return.

Aerion left Jasmine's bedchamber looking prepared for a long battle. Even the Dragon Monarch would be envious of his dragonscale armour, in fact, anyone would be. It was a Divine Extinction Realm treasure birthed from five hundred Divine Master Realm profound cores! Not just any ordinary Divine Master Realm cores either, these fierce beasts came from the God Realm of Absolute Beginning!

Aerion's authoritative and regal aura surged to even greater heights... his height increased greatly as well. Without his armour, he was around six foot and nine inches, but with the armour, he was over seven feet tall! The armour itself radiated an intimidating presence upon all who gazed upon it.

"It's time to get going. Jasmine, you'll lead the way as I don't exactly know where the Star God Emperor resides."

"And what if he defeats you?"

"Ah, then I'll have to give you two up while also joining the Star God Realm as some disciple. A terrible fate, I'd rather not speak of as it'll never happen."

"How confident of you," Jasmine remarked. "As usual, you do not consider the possibility of defeat."

"It would be needless worrying, I'm aware of my own capabilities and, from what I can observe, the Star God Emperor stands no chance. My sword will carve him up like a cake and my body, along with this set of armour, will withstand his attacks with no issue whatsoever."

"I see."

It did not take long to reach the Star God Emperor's palace. It was well protected by some Star Guards, however, which was a troublesome obstacle.

"Your Highness, Caizhi and Jasmine, the God-Emperor has been awaiting your re-"

Slash.

Jasmine killed the head of the Star God Emperor's Star Guard, just like that. Well, he was only a Divine Sovereign but still, Aerion was surprised by her sudden action.

"Why?"

"I did not like him."

Aerion scratched his hair. "You can't just kill people because you don't like them... besides, he would've been my head guard. Now I'll have to look for a new one."

"I'm sure you'll find one in the vast Star God Realm, hmph."

The other star guards were lost, they had no idea what to do when their head guard fell to the ground as a lifeless corpse. Aerion kneeled and used his Silver Scales to absorb the head guard's cultivation strength before it dispersed.

Then he stood up and activated his Rinnegan.

The Emperor.

"Acknowledge me as God-Emperor!"

"Yes, God-Emperor!"

Aerion stroked his non-existent beard. "No, that just won't do. You must address me as 'Your Divine Grace'!"

"Yes, Your Divine Grace!"

"That's better." Aerion nodded. "Now go and tell the fake Star God Emperor to get over here before Aerion of House Targaryen turns his palace into a raging inferno."

"As you wish, Your Divine Grace."

The group of star guards went inside of the palace to inform Xing Juekong of his imminent doom.

"Divine Grace, a mixture of the two, eh?" Rotias remarked.

The two will be one in the future anyway. Besides, I quite like being called 'Your Grace' but I've become more than just a King hence the 'Divine'.

"How did Brother-in-law do that? They're following his orders like he's truly the God-Emperor."

"It's one of the abilities that come with his eyes," Jasmine replied. "It's the power to control the people weaker than himself."

"Ooh, that's amazing."

"AERION TARGARYEN!" A thunderous voice boomed across the palace and even further beyond. In just a few seconds, the Star God Emperor exploded towards him. It was ten months since they had last seen face to face, ten months since Aerion provided him with his kind proposal.

Aerion smirked. "As you can see, Jasmine and Caizhi are well."

"Good, very good. Now step aside."

"I don't think so, you're forgetting about a very important detail."

"Hmm?"

"We were going to duel, weren't we? Surely, your memory isn't that bad to have forgotten such an important detail after just ten months."

"Oh?" Xing Juekong laughed. "You still want to duel me, with your lowly cultivation strength?"

Aerion smiled.

"That's right. If you don't want to duel me, then I'll simply have to force your hand. Either way, you'll be kneeling before me by the end of today!"

Aerion drew Blackfyre and its blade glimmered under the light of the sun, blinding all who looked upon it.
