Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 167 - Everlasting Darkness

"You three dare to stand in this God's way!?"

Surge nodded as he extended the size of the formation and strengthened it further with the assistance of Nexus and Helia. "So, you can't beat all three of us, God of War or not. Aerion will die here and we will witness the return of the true Fire Dragon God."

"It is so very simple." Helia smiled.

"You're outmatched, Naeron. Vena will deal with the mortal and then she will assist us in subduing you."

"Damn you all." Naeron raised his spear.

~

"My little inheritor should have dealt with you by now. It was unexpected that you would make your way to Primal Chaos and begin cultivating as only Ancestral Gods can travel between Dimensions so easily. Hmph, no matter, you will die here."

Aerion felt a cold chill before his body started to freeze once more, however, he resisted this time. His hair turned black once more as he released Rotias' power along with Dragon Emperor. His power crossed directly into the Divine Extinction Realm as he felt his flame alight once more.

Aerion merged his Ghost and Crimson Flames, forming the Crimson Ghost Flame. Then he merged the Crimson Ghost Flame with Rotias' Dark Void. The Crimson colour faded completely, being replaced by the Darkness. It spread until both Fire and Darkness were equal in terms of dominance. The flame itself was mostly black with glimmers of white light as if the flame were the night sky. Although it was the most beautiful flame of all, it was also the most terrifying.

The flame which purifies and taints all who oppose it.

The Star Flame...

"This... curse you, Rotias. You are the reason why we have fallen so far in the first place yet you continue to stand in our way. You wished to be King and now you've become a mortal's puppet, haha." Vena laughed. "How pathetic. This is where your ambition has led you!"

Aerion chuckled. "We are one being. If anyone is a puppet, then it would be you. I am free to decide and walk my path while you follow the Transcendent Being's will. Even after all of his acts of treachery, you continue to believe in his word."

Aerion coldly laughed. "You are all fools, indeed."

"Hmph, it does not matter what you say, the result will be the same. This flame of yours will not burn for long so I merely have to wait for it to die out."

With a wave of her land, she created a domain of ice where only they resided.

You are not the only one capable of forming domains.

Infernal Void Of Endless Destruction!

The Star Flame from his palm extended to create a domain of fire and darkness which fought against the ice. Vena used her domain for defensive purpose while Aerion used his Infernal Void Of Endless Destruction to taint and burn through the ice. The ice regenerated quicker than the fire burned through it so Aerion had to do something else.

"A valiant effort," Vena remarked. "But it was all for nothing in the end."

You underestimate my capabilities.

Heaven Absorbing Silver Claw.

Aerion absorbed some of her ice domain before transferring the profound energy to his right arm.

"HOW ABOUT THIS!?"

Heaven Destroying Infernal Void Of Endless Destruction!

Aerion's domain greatly increased in strength and completely burned through Vena's ice.

BOOM.

The domain of ice shattered and Aerion's domain vanished as well, once his profound energy depleted.

Dragon Emperor... Silver Calamity... Aerion's gates closed one by one as he almost fell into a state of unconsciousness from the lack of profound energy. However, as long as Vena had been defeated, this would have been worth the effort. The ice around her had crumbled to reveal her heavily wounded state. However, she was still superior to Aerion despite her wounds as he had no profound energy left and lacked the stamina to open his gates.

"Such... shocking strength." Vena laughed. "You are even greater than I first thought."

Aerion chuckled as he managed to stand up straight.

"Aerion you can use Izanagi to recover but fighting Vena again with the same strategy would be a waste. You would gain nothing from killing her as her current body would die off and her soul would leave somewhere else. The formation around you isn't something you could break even if you tried your best as Dragon Emperor. You must unleash the Evil Infant's Wheel of Myriad Tribulations and capture them all in one go."

...

This was the very last thing he wanted to do.

Izanagi.

"It seems that this loss has weighed so heavily on you that you've lost your mind. Hmph, how sad."

"Hahaha..." Aerion laughed. "You will ever regret crossing me, Ancestral Goddess."

Aerion took out the Evil Infant's Wheel of Myriad Tribulations from the Seventh Heaven Realm.

"The wheel!" Vena tried to seal off the Evil Infant's Wheel but it was no use as Aerion had already unleashed it.

"Ah yes, the wheel. As I said previously, you will regret offending this Dragon Emperor."

Instead of an infant's cry, a terrifying dragon's roar resounded across the entire Primal Chaos Dimension as the darkness profound energy of the Evil Infant's Wheel was released. Its strength was that of the True God Realm and it has been ever so slightly increasing due to the primordial energy of the Seventh Heaven Realm.

A dark shadow loomed over the Primal Chaos Dimension. The darkness energy formed a black dragon who coiled itself around Vena and drained her with its superior strength. Then, once no profound energy remained, she was crippled. Aerion's violet Rinnegan glowed as he looked down at the Ancestral Goddess.

The Emperor.

"You will serve."

Vena weakly nodded before losing consciousness. Aerion placed her in the Seventh Heaven Realm before and proceeding towards the other Ancestral Gods.

"Naeron, how about we remove this formation?" Surge frowned. "Things aren't looking good around here."

"Hmm, what's wrong?" Naeron smiled. "I asked you to do the same thing before but you didn't want to. I wonder, what made you change your mind?"

"You know what made me change my mind, look at that thing!"

Aerion's footsteps were heavy and seemed to be louder than earthquakes to the Ancestral Gods.

"You three will bend to my will." Aerion coldly stated.

The Evil Infant's Wheel's darkness energy split into three, all of which spared no effort when it came to draining and crippling the Ancestral Gods before they could manage another blink. The three joined their fellow Ancestral Goddess soon enough.

"Well, Aerion, you remember our deal, right? I was on your side the whole time so you don't have to do the same thing to me."

A cold light flashed in his eyes as he smiled menacingly. "I don't think so. You think my memory is short enough to forget what you tried to do?"

"Well, I admit, the trash who got my blood had to die but now I'm willing to let go off the matter and even acknowledge him."

"Trash? You Ancestral Gods and your dislike towards mortals. I don't need an Ancestral God's generosity or permission, a true Dragon Emperor will take everything he d.e.s.i.r.es and more. There is no longer a need for kindness or mercy, only Fire and Blood, Naeron."

"I see." Naeron nodded. "Very well, do the same thing to me as long as you promise that the Transcendent Being will be slain one day."

"That is unnecessary," Aerion stated. "I will slaughter him, promise or no."

Naeron chuckled. "I see, the fire in your eyes has truly become terrifying. It seems that you've broken your last chain. Yes, you must be ruthless and selfish to overthrow the Transcendent Being. You finally see Primal Chaos and everything in it as your own, this is wonderful news."

Aerion drained and crippled Naeron before making him a loyal servant and sending him to the Seventh Heaven Realm.

Aerion looked at the formation around him. "Disappear."

The darkness energy from the Evil Infant's Wheel exploded and shattered the entire formation within a single moment. He looked at Xisu and his Divine Masters, all of whom were frozen. He used the wheel to shattered the ice and free his men.

"Are you truly an inheritor of an Ancestral God?" Xisu inquired.

"Yes, I'll be seeing you later, in many more years."

Aerion sighed. "Forgive me, Xisu."

He put his hands together as the King of Hell returned.

Izanagi.

Return this man to the dead and, with it, return my life span to me.

The King of Hell opened his mouth and returned Xisu's soul to where it originally was. His body also returned to its previous state. Aerion felt his body burn with vigour and vitality once more.

"Ah, your lifespan is back to a healthy one hundred and fifty thousand years!" Rotias chuckled. "Wonderful, wonderful, indeed! What Naeron says is true, hahaha."

Aerion wasn't quite as excited since he knew what he had just done. Giving life to a person and then taking it right back? It's a cruel thing to do but, in the end, he thought it was necessary.

"Return to your stations." Aerion looked at the Divine Masters before entering the Seventh Heaven Realm.

"All of you, scatter while I deal with them."

Icy, Rhaegal, Daemon and He Lin naturally scattered without saying anything else. Aerion seemed to lack the patience for any type of disobedience at this current moment, after all. He then fully absorbed the divine power of the Ancestral Gods and used it to strengthen his Fire Dragon God divine powers. Not only did his cultivation strength rise, so did his battle power.

Divine Sovereign 3... 4... and 5.

"Nexus, Surge, Helia, Naeron and Vena. Five Ancestral Gods, all in my possession." Aerion coldly laughed. "I sacrificed my light in exchange for greater strength and survival. Whatever remains of you all is a shadow, much like when Aerios gave me his inheritance. Therefore, I've decided that you all will be replaced by those who I deem worthy as I can only have one Ancestral God's Legacy."

"Naeron, you will complete Robb's legacy. Vena, you will give Xia Qingyue your full inheritance and Helia you will do the same to Ying'er. Nexus, your inheritance will belong to He Lin and Surge... your fate remains undecided so you will be joining me. I might have some use for your formations."

"It is an honour to serve you, My Lord." Surge smiled.

"It is." Aerion agreed. "Now that your fates have been decided, I ask that you wait for me to dispose of you all. He Lin, get over here."

"Huh, Master, what is it?"

The Emperor.

"Nexus, surrender your legacy to He Lin."

"As you command, My Lord."

"Huh!?"

"Don't be afraid, this will benefit you greatly in the future," Aerion assured He Lin. "It will be a little painful, though."

~

Aerion laid in a room in the Eternal Heaven Room as he collected his thoughts.

How long was the duel?

"Around two days but it must've felt like years for you."

It did.

Aerion sighed.

Although I have not become a crying vegetable who wants to destroy the world, I've certainly become something far darker than before. I might truly lose myself with a second use, it is something I absolutely must not do.

"You are strong enough to resist becoming that with only a single use. But, yes, you've changed greatly. Using the wheel a second time doesn't seem to be necessary with your current strength so you needn't worry about that. Primal Chaos was warned with that dragon roar so I believe the Western and Southern Divine Regions should begin fighting against you."

Let them come.

Aerion's ultimate goal was no longer to forge the Empire of Primal Chaos or even reclaim his rightful place as the Fire Dragon God, it was something far greater. It was now the grand ambition of overthrowing the Transcendent Being.
