Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 170 - Tyrannical Emperor

"Tell me about the current state of Blue Pole Star."

"The profound beasts in Blue Pole Star have been running rampant, especially in the Azure Cloud Continent." The Fire-Blood Dopellganger stated. "The Dragonsguard and I, along with the local forces, have managed to take care of it, however."

"How did you take care of it?" Aerion inquired.

"By slaying the profound beasts. Is there a better method you wish for me to use? Because I cannot think of one, my creator."

Aerion nodded. "You did well with what you were given, I cannot complain about that."

"I tried using my Sharingan to order the profound beasts to stand down but this order is long forgotten after some time which is why I resorted to slaying them. Perhaps, it would be more effective if you were the one to do it."

"You lack the Emperor's powers so this result was to be expected. Anything else?"

"Since Xia Qingyue is an esteemed member of the Dragonsguard, I made it a task to assure the safety and prosperity of her relatives."

"Oh, and how did that go?" Aerion inquired, with slight interest.

"Her father was granted some lands and resources, along with the security of a few Dragonsguard, and the brother was recruited into the Dragonsguard, despite his poor talent. However, I observed that Xia Qingyue's brother might not be as ordinary as one might believe. No matter how many resources he is given, Xia Yuanba does not breakthrough past the True Profound Realm. It's as if something is restricting him from doing so."

Aerion nodded. "Yes, that is strange. Anyone should be able to reach extreme heights under the Celestial Dragon Empire's resources yet he still manages to remain in the Nascent Profound Realm... how interesting. I should look into it later. For now, you will continue ruling in my stead while I settle the matter concerning the profound beasts."

"Understood, my Creator."

Aerion went on an Emperor rampage, bending all of the profound beasts on Blue Pole Star to his will. They were told to remain within their boundaries and never leave them ever again. After some instances, he came to realise that darkness profound energy was affecting them in some kind of way, which led to them being more aggressive than usual. The Crimson Crack in the distance seemed to be the most obvious reason why.

Light profound energy was a decent solution to the problem, however, it was not as permanent as the Emperor's command was which is precisely why Aerion used it.

'The return of the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor, hmph. These profound beast rampages are not exclusive to Blue Pole Star, they're happening across the God Realm as well. This should not stop Long Bai from achieving his goal, however.'

"His power does far surpass the Divine Master Realm." Rotias agreed. "There isn't a single reason why he should fail, nevermind some foolish beasts."

After that, Aerion paid Xia Yuanba a visit in one of the many Dragonsguard garrisons across the Profound Sky Continent. The main purposes of these garrisons were simply to retain a presence, complete tasks, find recruits and train them. Due to his low cultivation strength, Xia Yuanba wasn't given many tasks and, instead, spent his time trying to breakthrough.

Aerion observed him from the skies above.

'Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins.'

"Hm, that does explain everything. The giant's heart is too kind and will never be that of a Tyrannical Emperor, therefore those veins will never awaken and he'll remain weak forever. Those veins are a great blessing, for the right person. For him... it can only be seen a curse, unfortunately." Rotias stated.

'Such talented cannot be wasted, Rotias. Those veins must be awakened.'

Aerion decided after some thought.

He floated down beside Xia Yuanba and did not remove his concealment. In terms of size, Xia Yuanba was absolutely massive and taller than Aerion without his armour. Aerion wondered if the awakening of the Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins would make him any larger. If so, his potential to grow was rather terrifying.

"Do you truly d.e.s.i.r.e strength, Xia Yuanba?"

"Hmm, who said that?" Xia Yuanba looked around and saw no one near him.

"The Dragon Emperor whom you serve," Aerion replied. "Your elder sister has reached great heights under my assistance, heights which the current you cannot even comprehend quite yet. But what if I told you that you could rise above those heights? The True Profound Realm will be nothing to you once you awaken your true, dormant, self."

"Your Imperial Majesty... how am I to accomplish that?"

Aerion removed his concealment and smiled. "Although you are a member of the Dragonsguard, you have yet to step inside of my Heavenly Palace. You are part of the outermost circle, but I am willing to grant you the blessing of becoming a core member who stands beside me at all times. You might even branch further ahead and become a Dragon Lord."

"A... Dragon Lord?"

"Mn, I doubt you'll be seeing this place ever again."

Aerion opened the Seventh Heaven Pearl and forced Xia Yuanba inside. Rhaegal, Daemon and Icy had all been released into the wild Primal Chaos Dimension to do as they pleased while He Lin was in the Forbidden Land of Samsara. There were only two residents in the Seventh Heaven Realm other than Aerion and Xia Yuanba, Aurion Targaryen and Little Rhae.

"This world was created purely for growth. You were already born with pure primordial energy because of your mother's Divine Stainless Body so this world, which is thriving with primordial energy, is perfected for your needs."

Aurion used his divine sense to immediately find his Royal Father along with the stranger who stood beside him. "Who's he?"

"Xia Qingyue's younger brother," Aerion replied.

"Hmm, his cultivation is that low?" Aurion scratched his hair. "Is he truly her brother?"

"Indeed, he is. You'll see why in a few months."

"I do not know what you see in me, your Imperial Majesty..."

"Don't worry about it, I'll just have to do a little convincing to get you on the right path towards greatness. You'll realise your heavenly talent soon enough."

The Emperor.

'D.e.s.i.r.e greater strength and power, the power to look down on the world and rule over it. That is the way of the Tyrannical Emperor... you must awaken your true self, Xia Yuanba.'

'Hmm, will this truly work?'

The Emperor's command is supreme when it comes to those inferior to the user but was it capable of completely changing a person? Aerion wondered.

Xia Yuanba stared blankly at Aerion before regaining composure. His aura had completely changed in just a few moments, from that of a humble disciple to that of an overbearing Emperor. His eyes turned golden as his divine veins had finally awakened. His hair started to slowly turn gold as well.

"Hmm, these divine veins do remind me a little of Naeron's bloodline," Rotias remarked.

The True Profound Realm... the Spirit Profound Realm... Earth Profound Realm... Emperor Profound Realm... Tyrant Profound Realm... Sovereign Profound Realm... Xia Yuanba started to breakthrough the profound realms at an absurd rate.

"See, my son. I do not tend to recruit talentless individuals."

"Mn, this person is truly a frightening talent. But with his newly attained temperament, is he still willing to serve you, Royal Father?"

Aerion chuckled as he already knew the answer to that. "Are you still loyal to me, Yuanba?"

"Yes, your Imperial Majesty. You are the only person I will ever be willing to serve. The eternal oath that I swore to you, the Celestial Dragon Emperor, and the Empire will remain unbroken until death... that has not changed, especially after you gave me your divine blessing."

"Excellent." Aerion smiled. "Now go and spar with Aurion."

"Isn't he too weak for that?" Aurion questioned. "I can breathe wind in his direction and he'll fold like paper."

"Then you should learn to control your strength," Aerion replied. "Fighting isn't all about strength, skill is vital as well. Skill is best attained through battles against a myriad of opponents. Besides, I won't be here all the time so having a good sparring partner while I'm away is rather beneficial."

"I understand, Royal Father. Hm, let's see where you're at in terms of skill, member of the Dragonsguard."

"My name is Xia Yuanba, your Royal Highness."

"You have yet to prove your worth, Dragonsguard." Aurion countered. "I will not call you by your name until you do."

"I see."

"So you're leaving once more?"

Aerion nodded. "Yes, but I'll be sure to pay frequent visits. The storm has settled and I've emerged as the strongest being in Primal Chaos, so there is no longer a reason for me to dedicate myself solely towards cultivation. I will use more of my time on other matters, such as relations. Perhaps this time of peace will lead to another child?"

Aerion smiled.

"Hmph, knowing you, it probably will." Huan Caiyi replied.

...

'The Seventh Heaven Pearl is not affected by its surroundings so I could cultivate anywhere. Other than the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor, what opponent is there left for me to face?'

Aerion sighed, this was a matter of some concern. Rising with pressure is far more beneficial than without. Being the strongest person meant that there was not a single shred of pressure placed on him and so, his progress is fated to be slower.

"The ultimate opponent, Aerion," Rotias replied. "The Transcendent Being."

'There still has to be something between him and I, no?'

"Hmm, perhaps He has already considered that. Only time will tell."

After a month in Blue Pole Star, Aerion decided to take his leave. Since Huan Caiyi wanted to remain on the planet, he naturally spent the most time with her. This did lead to some envy and so, after some time, Tai Xia and Feng Xue'er decided to join them. Aerion was quite experienced when it came to handling multiple women so this was no issue for him.

"Safe travels, your Imperial Majesty." Yun Canghai bowed.

"Don't trip on your sword, Royal Father." Daeron chuckled. "I heard that Blackfyre has grown sharper over the years."

"It has, Daeron." Aerion nodded. "Hmm, I have a little present for you. It should ensure that your elder brother doesn't gain too much of an edge in the future."

"Oh?"

Aerion released Surge's divine power and complete inheritance along with it, using his silver and crimson scales to condense it into a single drop of blood. "Be sure to consume this right before you begin your cultivation journey."

"Mn, Royal Father, I will do just that."

"Good." Aerion patted his head and smiled. "I look forward to seeing your progress, my son."

Aerion then turned around, his crimson cloak lightly swaying with the wind as he ascended into space along with Tai Xia, Feng Xue'er, Jasmine and Caizhi.
