Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 174 - Rejection

The Wasteland of Death brought forth many memories. It was where his cultivation journey truly began, after all. A place with countless profound beasts such as this could be considered heaven for a profound practitioner like Aerion who was an expert in the art of slaughter. He had used this most dangerous place wisely when he was weaker. Now, such a place was entirely beneath him except for one thing; the divine spirit of the Primordial Azure Dragon.

With the supreme rise of the Noble Rogue Sect, the dangers of the Wasteland of Death were greatly suppressed as one could simply call upon a powerful Noble Rogue with some money or access the myriad of weapons, medicines and resources available in Oldtown to increase the chances of survival

"The Trial Ground is right beneath us, along with those two flood dragons," Aerion stated.

"They are still alive?" Rotias chuckled. "Tough little dragons, indeed. To think that you once feared them."

'They have reached the Emperor Profound Realm in this time as well, which is quite impressive for profound beasts in the Blue Wind Kingdom.'

Aerion released his tyrannical aura and killing intent upon the flood dragons. "Scatter at once."

They looked at his aura and did not hesitate when it came to scattering. Within mere moments, they were out of sight. Aerion had produced such a result with three simple yet heavy and authoritative words.

"Very impressive, your Divine Grace." Shen Xi remarked.

Shen Xi landed next to the entrance and opened it with a single touch, much like Aerion had done out of instinct. It opened and the two entered together. It did not take them long to notice the pair of azure blue eyes which belonged to the divine spirit of the Primordial Azure Dragon.

'The last time I saw him, he was a massive dragon... Rotias, might you know why that isn't the case anymore?'

"Huh, maybe he was just showing off? Or it may have just been you seeing his true appearance instead of his residual soul form."

"It has been quite some time, Aerion Targaryen. And the person you brought forth with you is none other than my daughter. I would have informed you of her existence if you had come earlier but, alas, that is in the past." His eyes moved from Aerion to Shen Xi. "I am glad to see that you are well and free, my daughter."

"I thought that I would never see you again, Royal Father. The seal was something I could not overcome no matter how much I struggled against it. But a good thing did come from it as my true power will recover in due time."

"Indeed, you did not have to encounter the World Destroying Poison because of the seal. I, on the other hand, will remain in this weakened form until the very end, it seems."

"That will not be the case for long, Azure Dragon." Aerion smiled. "As your Dragon God Legacy has greatly assisted this Dragon Emperor on his path in the profound way, I am inclined to return the favour."

"This Dragon Emperor? Indeed, you have grown in all of these years. The resemblance between the Fire Dragon God and yourself is quite frightening."

"You met him before?"

"Only once. Although his power had dwindled greatly, he still bore supreme authority over every other dragon. His existence, along with the other Ancestral Gods, was only known to a select few True Gods and Devils. All of the Creation Gods and Devil Emperors were already aware of the Ancestral Gods but were commanded to keep it a secret. They followed this command wholeheartedly as the Ancestral Gods had great control over those that were considered 'minor gods'."

"I see. The Ancestral Gods have been on the rise recently so their existence will become apparent in due time. Speaking of repaying the favour, I should be able to return you to your true form upon reaching the Creation God Realm which will not take me any longer than a hundred years."

"No longer than a hundred years? Such confidence, hahaha. Truly, I cannot help but believe such an absurd statement when it comes from you. I should have vanished quite some time ago if it were not for the return of some of my power. I should be able to live on for another ten thousand years, in truth."

'So the return of divine power was not exclusive to the Ancestral Gods.'

"Before we proceed, I wish to know of your travels, Aerion Targaryen and how they led you to finding my daughter."

"Very well, but I'll try to keep it short," Aerion replied.

After quite some time in the Primordial Azure Dragon's trial grounds, Aerion had gone over most of his story as swiftly as he could without missing out on the important details except for some which were intentional.

"This World Teleportation Portal of yours is reminiscent of the World Piercer." Shen Xi stated.

"Indeed, except for the time limit which you had erased with your reality-defying eyes many times before." The Primordial Azure Dragon added. "How did you attain it?"

"Hmm, it was given to me under a rather strange circ.u.mstance which I'd rather not speak of."

"I see, it is a secret of yours. No matter, you two should get going now. You have the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor to worry about, after all."

Aerion chuckled. "I'm not at all worried about some Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor, not after she has spent such a long period of time outside of Primal Chaos."

"Nevertheless, it would be wise to prepare for her return." The Primordial Azure Dragon countered. "Either way, I will not be going anywhere."

"Royal Father, I will be sure to inform you once the matter with the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor is settled." Shen Xi replied as she moved Aerion along with a gentle push.

Aerion nodded. "In my next visit, I will be in the Creation God Realm."

"I look forward to it."

After briefly returning to the Star God Realm, Aerion used the World Teleportation Portal to settle a certain matter in Planetos. Well, not quite settle as doing so would take more than one visit. He decided to take it slow with a letter to the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.

'What the point of the Night's Watch anymore, to suppress the Wildlings?' Aerion thought as he wrote the letter. 'One day, I'll have to open that wall and spread my banner towards the entirety of Westeros. Perhaps such a task can be assigned to one of my sons or daughters... after all, the Wildlings are not worth my time.'

'This should do.'

Aerion sealed the letter with the stamp of House Targaryen. It wasn't too long or too short, just enough to get his point across. The main message was: "If you wish to be a Dragon and take your rightful place as a Targaryen prince, then keep this letter and I'll be sure to visit you once more, perhaps in person. However, if you do not, then I will see you as Snow and you will remain in your position as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. I do hope you make the right decision, my dear half-brother."

"~From the Emperor of New Valyria, Aerion Targaryen."

Aerion then watched as Jon Snow picked up the letter and read it. He burned it soon after, wishing no part of Aerion's grand plan and, ultimately, rejecting him.

'The Starks...' Aerion grit his teeth as a surge of anger overcame him. 'They have turned my half-brother into some unambitious bastard.'

"Clearly, he lacks the Blood of the Dragon. His hair is not silver and neither are his eyes purple. Such a person should not even be considered your relative."

'And yet he is my half-brother. Forcing him out of his current, pathetic, position would be against his will, something I would rather not do. With time, he will realise the error in his ways.'

"Why should he? Hmph, just leave the mortal at peace. Let him be content, not everyone wishes to be a prince. Some would rather have a simpler life." Rotias stated.

'But the life he has been living was a lie. No, he won't be living the rest of his life in this cold place. I will show him the light... he deserves better after all of the hardsh.i.p.s he went through, after all. He is my last sibling, how could I allow him to continue living this kind of life?.'

"Whatever, hmph, imagine caring so much for a half-brother you never knew."

'Blood is a deep bond which will never fade away. He may not look like one, but he is a Targaryen. The Blood of the Dragon runs through his veins and nothing will change that truth.'

'I will ease him into this truth, year by year.' Aerion decided.

Aerion sat on the throne of the Star God Realm after an extensively long cultivation session. Atop his silver head laid a silver crown, the Crown which he had forged. The crimson dragon which stood above the seven gems looked down at everything beneath him.

He had cut some of his long hair, believing it to be rather troublesome to maintain. Now it went below his shoulders but only slightly. His chin lacked any type of hair, as usual, and so, he did not look any older. He certainly felt older, however.

'Six months until my thirtieth nameday... three decades, Rotias, I will be three decades old.'

"That's the mortal within you speaking, thirty is just a single breath for me and it should be the same for you."

'I was not born as a Major God, however. Hmph, no matter, my lifespan will be eternal soon enough.'

"Your Divine Grace, it will not be long before the heaven chosen children make their return." A Dragonsguard announced. "Perhaps, his Divine Grace should make preparations?"

"I already have, you need not fret about it." Aerion stood up from his throne and descended. "A grand entrance is necessary for a Dragon Emperor like myself which means I must arrive on time, not before or after."

Aerion then made his way to the teleportation formation and arrived in the Eternal Heaven Realm instantly. The strongest experts of the God Realm had all gathered, not just those from the Eastern Divine Region. This was because Aerion intended to march upon the Northern Divine Region once the calamity was dealt with.

He had broken through to the Seventh Stage of the Sovereign Profound Realm a short while ago without any dual-cultivation. He decided to increase the cultivation strength of Shen Xi, Mu Xuanyin and Qianye Ying'er before dual-cultivating with them as the benefits would be greater.

After spending most of her time in the Seventh Heaven Realm, Shen Xi had recovered most of her True God profound strength while the other two reached the Divine Master Realm.

Aerion watched from the sky as a few geniuses started to leave the Eternal Heaven Divine Realm. Once they had all returned, he opened the Seventh Heaven Pearl and Rhaegal emerged.

"I still can't believe that I'm more than three thousand years old," Robb stated as he appeared in the Eternal Heaven Realm. "Hmm, what a gathering. House Targaryen banners everywhere... My Lord is a most diligent conqueror, indeed."

The Eternal Heaven God Emperor frowned. "Conqueror?"

ROAAAAR.

"Geniuses of the Eastern Divine Region, I am your Dragon Emperor!"

"Within these three years, the entire Eastern, Southern and Western Divine Regions have all been conquered by none other than myself, Aerion Targaryen. Everyone you know in the God Realm is either dead or under the banner of my royal House. You will all be given the choice to submit and swear your eternal loyalty or be humbled. I prefer if you do the latter."
